Welcome to Blue Haven: Part 1
Chapter Two: Welcome to Blue Haven
Suncerayer along with Rea led their six guests to the Sadian city that was affectionately known as Blue Haven. Jordon was the most excited of all. He had only studied about the first real Sadian settlement on Earth in books, but to see it up close was an experience he never thought he would have the opportunity to have.
As they walked across the beach that led to a stretch of woods he conversed with Suncerayer who told him about some of the things he would see and how it differed from the world he came from. It shocked Jordon to learn that Suncerayer knew so much about his world.
"So you say it was the crystals that showed you the world of the future?" Jordon asked as they walked along. Rea kept a tight hold on Suncerayer's hand. She could not speak the language Jordon was using, so Sunserayer translated for her everything Jordon was saying.
"Friend Jordon, it was not the crystals that showed me. It came to me in a dream," he said trying to find the right words.
"A dream," he said and thought if it could be possible. Both his mother and sister had dreams about the past and often helped Professor Hoo-Too with his archaeological research. "That makes sense."
"One must believe in dreams," Suncerayer added.
Suncerayer was doing his best to speak in the modern language that Jordon was speaking, and Jordon knew different variations of the ancient language. The problem was it that it had changed during the millennia that it was used and had not been readily spoken since the Dark Ages.
Jordon only had a rough guess of where in time they actually dropped into, and he still feared that they would never get back.
It seemed like they were walking forever until they reached some scenery that did not seem empty or abandoned. There was a waterfall in the distance that led into a round body of water that could have been a small lake. He saw many trees and wild flowers growing around it, and there was also what seemed like an endless trail of rich deep green grass. It seemed to Jordon that this was indeed a paradise.
They reached a long stone trail and Jordon remembered seeing a drawing of this that was made by Professor Hoo-too years before he had lost his body. They were drawn on parchment and kept in an airtight volt. He was one of the rare people who was able to study them.
"The place is beautiful," Millie said as she twirled around looking as if she were dancing. "I wish I had some canvas and some paints. I would make a masterpiece you wouldn't believe."
Sunserayer looked a little confused and asked Jordon in his own language what she had said.
"Millie is an artist," he explained. "She wishes to paint the landscape."
Sunserayer's face brightened at hearing Jordon's explanation and said something in a language Millie didn't understand. The young Sadian scientist had to speak slowly so Jordon could catch what he was saying.
He turned the Millie and said, "They have an artist guild in the city."
"Oh, really," Millie said more excited to hear the news than Suncerayer was in telling it. "Let's hurry."
"Millie, be patient and we will be there soon," Jordon said trying to calm down his excited girlfriend.
The group walked for another ten minutes until Sunserayer and Rea stopped. The male Sadian opened his mouth to speak this time using their language.
"Welcome to Blue Haven."
