I've never been in love before. I've never believed that love is real because my parents left me when I was very young. When I was 15 I got adopted. At first I hated it. They treated me like their own and I guess that was the problem. I knew they weren't my parent and they would never be. But then I understood that they were here to help and love me and they did. They sent me to a good school. They provided me clothes and a bed to sleep on. I even had two siblings. I had a sister the same age as me, her name was Bianca, and I had a younger brother, Sam, he was just a couple weeks old. I guess when I turned 16 I understood that and I thank them everyday now. I end the night the same way.

"Thank you Annabeth, thank you Percy."

Then I go off to my room.
