Kaela Eldrigh (Part 1)

I'm going to love the hate I get for this.

Hey, I'm Kaetlin, but my friends call me Kaela. I'm probably considered one of the middle class students at Goode High; below Emma Stifson, but above the nerdy J.T Oak. He was seriously a foot shorter than me, and he wore the weirdest glasses.

Now, I don't want to sound rude, but I would rather deep fry my face than be friends with him. But being friends Emma? It's every girls' dream. The ones with sense, at least.

And then there's Percy Jackson. Yeah, yeah, you'd think he would be all over me, right? Well, he isn't. He's using the excuse of having a girlfriend every time someone asks him out. He's been asked out by guys, like gag. (Nico is my favorite character, I have nothing against lgbt+)

Speaking of Percy. . . Him and his small group of people were all huddled by their lockers. Percy looked exasperated, and the others looked annoyed.

His group consisted of Alice Briggs, a girl with brown hair and brown eyes, Michael Briggs, her twin brother, Kyla Adams, a girl with blonde hair and green eyes, and Emyline Jones, who had black hair as dark as Percy's, but gray eyes.

Percy always looked at Emyline weirdly, and I couldn't help but think he liked her; I mean, she's pretty hot, for a bottom class, anyways. Her eyes were always gleaming when she was around him, and it pissed me off. Who did this girl think she was?

I strode over to them, straightening my TØP tee, and making sure my braid was still perfect. Percy spotted me first, and I smiled at him.

"Hey, Kaetlin," he said stiffly.

The other people around him scowled, and Michael just nudged him.

"So, I was wondering. . . Do you want to go to the movies tonight?" I asked, rolling back on my heels.

Percy took a deep breath. "No thanks. I have a girlfriend,"

"She probably isn't even attractive," I purred.

Percy seemed to be biting back his temper, "She's better than you are," he said, closing his locker, and leaning back on it.

"Oh, I doubt that. I'm better than Stifson, but nobody notices. Maybe because you two kissed and that got her somewhere," I poked his chest.

Alice and Emyline covered their mouths, and Michael just frowned at Percy, while Kyla shifted anxiously.

"That was two years ago, Kaela." Percy snapped.

"So you admit you kissed her?" I licked my lips.

Percy stiffened. "It was two years ago," he repeated.

I smiled smugly. "I hope you didn't tell your girlfriend she was your first kiss." I winked at him and strutted off, hearing the thud of a locker being slammed; or in this case, punched.

"Kae!" Morgan squealed.

"What?" I snapped.

"There's a nonstudent hugging Percy!"

"What?" I hissed, pushing past her.

I stormed down to where Percy's locker was located, and sure enough he was hugging a blonde stranger.

I cleared my throat.

The two of them broke apart, but their hands stayed together. "Who's she?" I spat.

"Kaela, this is Annabeth, Annabeth, this is Kaela."

"Hi, bitch," I greeted.

Percy seemed to be holding back a smile. He liked that I was calling her names!

"Hey." Annabeth replied calmly.

I hesitated. "How do you know Percy?"

"I'm his girlfriend." Annabeth said coolly.

I grinned. "You must be mistaken, because he kissed another girl a while ago."

Percy stiffened. Again. Annabeth just laughed, "He wouldn't do that."

"Oh, but he did," J.T yelled from the back of the crowd.

Percy scowled, and Annabeth hesitated. "You-?" She started, but when she saw the hurt expression on his face she stopped.

"No."

"You're lying," I snapped.

"I didn't realize two years ago counted as a while ago," Percy retorted.

Annabeth opened her mouth to say something, but quickly shut it again. Percy's eyes widened, and I smirked.

"You lied to me. Why?"

"I didn't think we would ever end up together if I told you it wasn't my first kiss and-"

"I should go. Come over when you have a decent explanation."

And that's how I broke Percabeth up.
