Jungkook immediately broke free from the handcuffs as soon as his hyungs were gone. He was glad they had finally listened, but also furious that it took them so long. He was out for blood, and if they had stayed another second longer he didn't know if he would have truly hurt them or not. Now that he knew he could still get like this even handcuffed with them around, he knew he could never allow them near him again when it was about to reach midnight. At least they knew now, that was all he needed from them. To believe, and to know. Now that the secret was out, he felt he could simply say bye to them at night and not have to worry about them while he was out doing what he needed to do.

And now that he knew they weren't around, he couldn't hold back anymore. His skin was itching and his body was craving blood like never before. Holding back the best he could while he screamed for his hyungs to leave worked up an appetite in him he didn't know his body could possess, not even in this current state it was in.

He ran out of the little apartment he had rented and practically flew up the steps to the sidewalk. He prowled around the streets looking for someone, anyone, he could get his hands on. Oddly, it seemed like not a single soul was out tonight. He wondered if it was because of all the warnings on the news.

He was angry. He ran around continuing to search, but found nothing. He didn't know what to do.

For a slight second, the thought of his hyungs flashed through the back of his mind. They would let me in...they are food. No no no! No Jungkook! You stay away from hyungs! You will allow yourself to drop dead before ever touching or hurting hyungs!

After running around the city at night and not finding a single soul on the street to suck the life out of, he returned back to his underground apartment. In a blind rage he completely trashed it, knocking everything over, punching the walls, destroying anything and everything in his sight. It was all he could do to let the anger out. He did this for hours. Punching, hitting, screaming. He had injured himself over and over again, but the injuries would clear themselves up within just a few minutes.

As the hours passed and the sun rose, he finally began shifting back into himself. His fangs retracted. His eyes turned back to brown. The murderous rage and hunger he felt slowly began to subside. As his head cleared, he looked around at the mess he had made and dropped to the floor a sobbing mess. He couldn't remember if he ended up killing anyone or not, but when he looked down and saw no blood on his clothes he wondered if maybe he hadn't. He looked at the mess before him in the apartment and couldn't believe he'd done such a thing, although it was nothing compared to the murders he committed on previous nights. He sat on the floor and sobbed for a long, long time. He thought about his hyungs again and wondered what they were up to, if they'd ever want to see him again. He wouldn't even blame them if they didn't want to see him, since he could barely even look at himself.

The harder he cried the more he missed his hyungs. He wanted to see them more than anything, mostly to apologize for everything. It's day time, I'm safe to be around right now. If anything happens while I'm visiting them I can just quickly leave.

He made the decision to get up and go see his big brothers, he felt like they were who he really needed right now. He was nervous as hell to confront them after knowing they finally saw what he'd become, and he could only hope they still loved him anyway.

Instead of letting himself in, even though he technically still lived with them, he decided to knock on the door. Hobi answered it and his hyung stood there motionless for a moment.

"Jungkook?" Hobi eyed him up and down. The others heard him and came running over.

"Hi, hyungie..." Jungkook whispered. "Is it okay if I come in?"

Hobi hesitated. "Are you...like...the real Jungkook?"

Namjoon shoved Hobi out of the way. "Let the damn boy in here. It's his house too."

"I'm just trying to be safe, okay?!" Hobi shouted.

Jungkook was hesitant to come inside knowing Hobi was nervous, but Namjoon insisted it was okay. He walked in and closed the door behind him. His hyungs looked him over for a second, and then Jimin threw himself at Jungkook and wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug as he began to cry.

"Everything is going to be okay, Kookie! We promise!" Jimin sniffled.

Jungkook held his hyung tightly back and began to cry along with him. One by one, the rest of the members had their arms wrapped around their youngest.

"I'm so sorry." Jungkook's shoulders heaved up and down as he couldn't control his sorrow.

Jimin ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair. "We're going to figure this out and help you if it's the last thing we do, do you understand me?"

Jungkook couldn't reply, he was too busy drenching Jimin's shirt in snot and tears. He took in the words though, and felt comforted by them.

Yoongi grabbed Jungkook's arm and started pulling him into the living room towards the couch. "Come sit down."

The youngest plopped on the couch and buried his face into his hands. His hyungs all hovered above him, surrounding him. They didn't see a monster right now. All they saw was their maknae, the one they loved unconditionally, bawling his eyes out on the couch and it broke their hearts.

"I'm so sorry hyungs. I'm so sorry. Do you all h-hate me? Do you hate me now?" Jungkook cried.

Yoongi knelt down in front of him and grabbed Jungkook's knees. "Of course we don't hate you. Freaked out? Oh yeah, but we don't hate you. You're still Jungkook."

Jin was standing there rubbing the youngest's back. "We're going to get you help, Koo. Whatever we have to do."

Jungkook was curious. "What did you do after you left?"

"Decided we were going to do whatever it took to help you, although we haven't come up with anything yet," Hobi replied, "However we kept an eye on the news. And guess what...nobody died last night. Which makes me wonder what you did after we left?"

Jungkook slowly began remembering more of the night. How he was hunting ready to kill whoever but could find nobody. How he went back to the apartment and completely destroyed it. But then one small detail also crept back into his memory. I thought about showing up here to hurt hyungs.

He squeezed his eyes shut and more tears splashed out.

"Koo? What happened after we left?" Taehyung asked gently. They all gave the maknae a moment to compose himself and he finally confessed to all he remembered of the night. As much as he didn't want to, he told them about his random thought to come to them, he knew to keep them as safe as possible he had to be as honest as possible.

"Well then there we have it." Yoongi waved his arm in the air.

"What?" Hobi asked.

"He could have come here to hurt us. He even considered it in a blind rage, and guess what? He didn't. He went to his own place instead. That's really all the proof we need that he wouldn't hurt us. He had the complete freedom and chance to, and he didn't do it." He turned and looked Jungkook in the eyes. "So stop worrying about us so much. If you were going to hurt us, you would have by now."

"But if you were there in front of me, I don't know..." Jungkook confessed. He felt like maybe this was a one time lucky occurrence. He still didn't know how long he'd be able to control himself the way he had last night.

Namjoon cleared his throat. "I don't like you being out there alone like that. That apartment I mean. However the hell you found that place, I think you should give it up and stay here. I mean can't you just stay here at night? If anything we can help you stay in and not go out and hunt right?"

"Hyungie I can't do that. I completely destroyed the place last night because I couldn't find blood. If I were here I'd either kill you with my own hands or tear this place apart and accidentally hurt you in the process."

"So we will just tie you up like you were last night. Handcuffs or whatever. We will handcuff you up until you're past it?" Namjoon offered.

"No, hyung. I can get out of it when I'm like that and then there's no stopping me..."

The members felt at a loss. They wanted Jungkook home so he was safe, but they also wanted to be safe themselves.

"Until I get..." Jungkook dropped his gaze, feeling his heart sink, "...better...I have to stay away at night."

The rest of the members sighed. As much as they didn't agree, they understood the concern. They stayed close to the youngest as he continued to shed tears. "What if I never get better? Hyungs, if we can't figure this out can you please...just...just kill me?"

"Woah woah woah," Jin put his hand up to stop Jungkook from speaking any more words, "Yeah right. We'd let you kill us first before we ever did something like that to you. "

"Please, hyungs. I'm a monster. I don't want to be one but I am and I don't want to be..."

Jin wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck to hold him. "You're not a monster. You're our maknae, and you're a bit sick. There has to be a way to cure you and we're going to find it, together. Okay?" Jin kissed Jungkook's soaked cheek.

"And if we can't?" Jungkook gulped.

"We will," Yoongi interjected.

"But hyung...what if we ca-"

"We will!" Yoongi yelled. There was no other choice. He would spend the rest of his life figuring this out if that's how long it took.

"So now what?" Hobi asked. "Where exactly do we start?"

Namjoon had an idea. "Koo...where are all those books you bought?"

"In my room," Jungkook replied.

"I guess we start there." Namjoon motioned for everyone to go and grab whatever books the maknae had bought, and after that they began to research things on the internet. Stuff about bat viruses, myths about vampires, myths about how to cure vampires. Jin ended up on the deep dark web and even found contact info for a man who claimed to know how to cure people with this "condition."

"Do you think it's a hoax or should we contact him?" Jin asked.

"I mean...we're desperate..." Taehyung replied. Jin decided to shoot the guy an email. He tried to be vague in the email, not wanting to admit his little brother was going around and killing people. He illuded to the idea that this was all for a school project. While he waited for a reply, the others also continued their research but were left with more questions than answers.

"Kook? How come you're not allergic to the sun or whatever?" Jimin asked.

"I don't know. Maybe because it only happens at night? It only happens around the same time I got bit by that bat..." Jungkook thought that was honestly the least of his worries right now. They didn't find much of what they were looking for, and it was already growing late again.

Once it was dark out Jungkook told his hyungs he needed to get going back to his apartment for the night.

"But Kookie...are you sure you can't stay here?" Namjoon asked, sulking.

"Trust me hyung...I can't. I'll...I'll be okay."

Yoongi pulled Jungkook into a hug. "Just remember...you got through last night without hurting anyone. You can do it again. You're capable."

Jungkook sighed. He knew if he had actually found people last night he would have hurt them. He was already terrified of what the night would bring.

He made his way back into his little underground apartment, where for now, he was trying to keep the outside world and his hyungs safe from him. He decided he would try and lock himself up even tighter than the previous night. More chains or ropes to go along with his handcuffs.

As he was looking around the apartment for anything that might work, he heard something move behind him. He turned to see two men in black suits standing there. He panicked and started backing away.

"Who the hell are you?!" he screamed.

"We know what you are," one of the men said.

Jungkook felt his blood turn to ice as his heart pumped faster. No. I've been...caught? No no no.

In his panicked state, he tried to play it off like they had the wrong person. "I...I don't know what you're talking about..." he gulped.

"We've been watching you," the other man in the suit said.

"I...you...you must have the wrong person...I've just been...here..." Jungkook lied. He bit his bottom lip in a desperate attempt to stop it from trembling.

The two men rushed at him and grabbed him by each arm.

"Get the hell off me! Who the hell are you?! You have the wrong person! Get off me! I'll call the police!" Jungkook threatened. He could tell these two men weren't cops. But who the hell are they?!

"The last thing you want to do is call the police. I mean, unless you'd like to be locked up for countless accounts of murder," one of them said.

Jungkook's heart palpitations made him feel like he was going to pass out. Whoever they were, he knew they'd actually been watching him but for how long? Or were they just bluffing?

The tears were endless. "Please let me go! I didn't do anything!" He was hoping he could still lie his way out of this.

The two men were dragging him out of the apartment and Jungkook was putting up the best fight he could. It wasn't late enough for him to morph into the monster he became at night, so he didn't have the strength to fight them both off.

But he was sure as hell going to try.

He kicked and screamed. He tried making himself dead weight so they couldn't lift him. He tried clawing at their faces. He elbowed one of them in the face.

Without warning, one of the men took out a taser and jabbed it into Jungkook's ribs. He let out an ear piercing shriek before he felt his body convulse and drop to the ground. The man held it there for a few seconds, and when he released it Jungkook couldn't move. He quickly felt burning and stinging swirling around his rib cage and into his chest. One of the men in the suits scooped him up off the floor.

The boy couldn't fight back at all in that moment.

He'd been temporarily paralyzed as these two men threw him into the back of their vehicle and drove away.
