When the gang arrived at the Sleepy Cardinals, Moxie made sure he paid for all the drinks. Even though he didn't have to.

As they all sat down at the table they all discussed a few things...mostly Socks and Blaza's relationship.

"Can't we stop talking about the bet already!?"
Socks slammed his hands on the table.

"No I won't stop, because you left me- sorry let me correct myself Socks. Us to live out our lives we kept visiting but you!"
Blaza slams his hands on the table as well.

"I sense backstory tension."
Nadwe whispered loudly to Muffin.

"Yeah no kidding."
Muffin responded back with another loud whisper.

"I left because the kingdom needed me! It's not like I ever wanted to! I didn't have a choice!"
Socks yelled.

"Oh yeah!? At least when I was busy doing studies I actually had time to visit! But when you swing around that lousy sword-"

"Lousy?!"
Socks yelled interrupting Blaza.

"Drinks are here!"
Moxie announces loudly breaking the conversation.

"Hmph."
Blaza and Socks glared at each other.

"Tension kills me."
Muffin blurted out as everyone just stared at him.

Muffin grabbed his drink and awkwardly and silently sipped it slowly.

"Any...ways-"
Moxie chuckled, passing the drinks around.

"Hey hey! Watch this I bet I can chug this all down!"
Nadwe yelped with confidence. Everyone's attention was on Nadwe. Nadwe then picked up his cup and started chugging down the drink.

"Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!"
A few people cheered for Nadwe.

Nadwe then finished the drink quickly, as the people cheered.

"I bet Nadwe will be the first to start a riot."
Moxie mumbled while drinking his juice.

"I bet that's what Socks was doing while he was gone. Being a part of riots."
Blaza blurted out.

"Scoff! I would've been there to stop the riot! Not be a part of it!"
Socks gasped.

"Stopping a riot is being a part of it!"
Blaza scowled.

"Tension kills me."
Muffin said once again.

"It'll be fine Moxie."
Moxie whispered to Muffin.

"Blah blah blah blah blah"
Socks and Blaza's arguing just became annoying.

Nadwe started to sound awfully quiet.

"Hey you okay bud?"
Moxie asked Nadwe.

Nadwe nodded slowly, he was gripping onto his stomach though.

"You sure?"

"Yeah.."
Nadwe choked in response.

"I just need some fresh air.."
Nadwe stood up weakly and started to head out of the tavern.

"Hey Nadwe maybe you should-"
Before Moxie could finish his sentence Nadwe froze.

"Nadwe?"
Muffin stood up in alarm.

Nadwe's legs shook rapidly, then he vomited black liquid. It went everywhere on the floor, everyone looked at him in shock, some rushed to help him. Then a little bit of blood came out.

"NADWE?!"
Moxie and Muffin yelped as they stood up and rushed over to him. Even Blaza and Socks stopped arguing.

Nadwe then collapsed on the floor, he was shaking curling up into a ball.

"Nadwe? Can you hear me!?"
Muffin shook Nadwe.

"I...I...I feel terrible...my stomach feels so...queasy.."
Nadwe responded weakly.

"Poison."
Moxie announced looking at the bartender.

The bartender was cleaning the cups unbothered by the situation.

"YOU!"
Socks yelled suddenly.

The bartender stopped cleaning their cups and looked at Socks. Then they looked at Nadwe with a horrified expression. Socks wasn't buying it though, he stormed over to the bartender with his sword.

"YOU DID YOU DO THIS!?"
Socks yelled in fury pointing the sword at the bartender's throat.

"Sire- I would never is-is-isnt it illegal to poison someone without reason?"
The bartender stammered.

"GIVE ME A REASON NOT TO CUT YOUR THROAT."
Socks were ready to just slice.

"Socks stop, you don't have enough evidence that he poisoned Nadwe."
Moxie grabbed the sword gently.

"Y-yeah! How do you know!?"
The bartender whimpered.

"What's your name?"
Socks asked bitterly as he lowered his sword.

"T-T-Tenson-!"
Tenson stammered.

"Alright Tenson. I'll be setting my own private investigation as a knight."
Socks walked over to Nadwe to help him.

"A private investigation!? You're basically an ex-knight!"
Blaza whispered quietly to Socks.

"No! I'm still one! And this will help me regain that title!"
Socks bared his teeth.

"Wow those are some sharp teeth."
Moxie whispered to Muffin.

Muffin was puzzled. Since when did Socks have sharp teeth? Is he part vampire too?

"Uhm I don't think I understand-"
Muffin whispered back.

"Never mind what I said C'mon let's help Nadwe get a medic."
Moxie sighed.

It's odd how Moxie can be so observant. Muffin thought slightly impressed before going back to Nadwe.
