I'm so Sorry

~Your PoV~

My hands were shaking uncontrollably by the time we reached the kitchen, where most of the 'Pastas already were. I was still covered in blood, and my non-existent eyes were, surprisingly, brimmed with tears.

Mostly, I'm not on the brink of tears because of what I've done, I hated Clock and she hated me, I'm not unfamiliar with killing people either. No, I was afraid of being exiled, of suddenly being seen as wrong.

I don't want to lose my only real family...

Eyeless saw me shaking, and laced his fingers through mine.

"It'll be fine. I won't let them hurt you." he whispered. I smiled faintly at him. Neither of us had our masks on, but we didn't care at the moment. I leaned against him, as we stared at the closed door that lead to the kitchen.

"Here goes nothing" I said and pushed open the door.

As I walked into the kitchen, teary-eyed and bloodstained, all eyes turned to us. Well, eyes and faceless... something.

"Uhm.... we have a bit of an... issue" I said nervously.

Jane, who was following behind us, pushed through to the front and said: "KC ate Clockwork in her sleep."

I glared daggers into the back of her head, and everyone started muttering to each other.

"I-I... It wasn't on purpose, I-I s-swear! I was framed!" I squeaked nervously behind Jane. Why did everyone have to be so much taller than me?

"Katara, what happened? Answer truthfully, I'll know when you lie." Slender said.

"I-I... I don't know what happened! I woke up covered in blood and Clockwork's watch was in my hands!"

"Let me see the watch" Slender said. Huh? I didn't expect that.

"Eh?"

"The watch. I want to make sure it's hers. If your... 'theory' is correct and you were framed, I would want to prove it."

I stared at him for a while.

He... believed me?

I blinked and turned around, heading upstairs to go find the watch. I reached EJ's room, opening the door, which I was pretty sure was open, and looked for the watch. Instead of finding the watch in the corner where I threw it earlier, I found it on the bedside table, along with a note.

He Comes.

I stared wide eyed at the simple two words.

Who comes?

Why come?

Am I involved?

I involuntarily gave a small squeak, and backed away from the table, already beginning to hyperventilate again.

I looked around, searching for more possible clues, and my gaze wandered over to the walls. In the corner, close to where I threw the clock, was a message in blood.

Don't Tell.

Empty threats. That's all they are. Who is Coming? Why can't I tell anyone? My head was aching with theories and ideas, all the information and anxieties crashing against the protective walls of my skull, frantically pounding like they're trying to escape.

My eyes were wide, and it felt as if the walls are closing in. I stumbled to a clean corner right next to the window and curled up in a ball, clutching my head, wanting it to stop.

Am I going insane for a second time? Is that even possible?

Can you break what's already broken?

Ever so silently, tears started streaming down my face. When I wiped them away, my hand was stained with a dark violet color.

How odd.

I stared at the splash of purple on my hand, tears still streaming down my face. Then I rested my head on my knees, and curled up even more, wanting to disappear.

No. (y/n), you have to calm down. You can't show weakness. If this freak is out to get you, the last thing you need is to look vulnerable. Just... Calm down

She's right.

I have to calm down.

But how?

Suddenly, I had the urge to sing a song, one I undoubtedly forgot.

Ever so softly, I started singing the forgotten song.

"Pick it up, pick it all up.

And start again.

You've got a second chance,

you could go home.

Escape it all.

It's just irrelevant.

It's just medicine.

It's just medicine.

You could still be,

what you want to,

What you said you were,

when I met you.

You've got a warm heart,

you've got a beautiful brain.

But it's disintegrating,

from all the medicine.

from all the medicine.

from all the medicine.

Medicine.

You could still be,

what you want to be,

What you said you were,

when you met me.

You could still be,

what you want to.

What you said you were,

when I met you.

when you met me.

when I met you.

Ooooooooo...

Ooooooooo..."

As I sung the song, I was staring unseeingly at the floor.

Thinking back on the lyrics, I understand why I suddenly remembered it.

You could still be who you want to be.

I also got the impression that I remembered it because of EJ. He is a doctor after all.

EJ...

I need him.

I need my doctor.

Suddenly, and almost unknowingly, I started singing another song.

"I'm about to lose my mind

You've been gone for so long, I'm runnin' outta time

I need a doctor, call me a doctor

I need a doctor, doctor to bring me back to life..."

Before I could continue the song, though, EJ came bounding up the stairs.

Speak of the devil, right?

"KC! There you are! Did you find the watch? Slender's getting impatient..." he said. His eyeless gaze trailed over to me, and he stopped talking, taking in my huddled form, purple tears trailing down my face and softly singing to myself. He rushed forward, worried for my wellbeing.

"(Y/n), what's wrong? Are you okay?" He said softly, sitting down in front of me, lifting up my chin lightly with one finger.

Worry was plastered on his face, and his head was slightly tilted to the side. I wiped away the strange tears off my face and sighed. I moved my legs out of the way and held my arms out. He wrapped his arms around me and held me on his lap, feeling calmer in his comforting embrace.

I buried my face against his chest and sighed.

"Things are not looking good" I softly mumbled.

"Why? What happened? What did you find?" he said quietly, trying to stay as calm as possible.

"I... found a note. Look" I pointed to the bedside table, which was luckily not very far from us, and EJ could easily reach it.

"He Comes...? No.... it... it can't.... I really hope I'm wrong here..." he muttered, becoming anxious.

"What? You know who it is?"

"I... have a theory. Say, do you ever get odd dreams?"

"Yeah... I have... well, they felt more like... memories..."

"Describe them"

I looked up at him. Describe them? Jack wasn't looking at me, he was frowning, and staring at the floor, thinking.

"Well... they're usually different, but they all had the same... thing in them. Every single one of my dreams had this... demon in it."

"Demon? How'd it look?"

I was quiet for a few seconds, thinking a bit.

"It's skin was... pitch black, and it had seven mouths. It had horns too, which lead me to calling it a demon-cow. Stupid horn-head." I muttered.

EJ was completely silent.

"...seven mouths?" he asked softly

"Yes."

"... horns?"

"Yeah"

"...Pitch-black skin?"

"For God's sake, Jack! I already said all this."

"(Y/n), you are in grave danger."

"That, is very true" said the deep, haunting voice that invaded all my dreams

We both looked at the demonic being that stood in the center of the room, watching us.

"Fuck..." Jack muttered.

We both jumped up and raced downstairs, hoping to reach the others in time and warn them.

I stumbled into the kitchen, disheveled and freaking-out.

"Z-Zalgo!" EJ yelled at the few Creeps that were still occupying the kitchen.

Suddenly, the demonic creature manifested itself behind me

"I believe that the girl belongs to me"
