we really don't realise when night turned into day!!

Doctors pov:(especially interns)

we enter our second home(hospital) at around 9Am( well.. even if we are 1min late.. people may complain.. infact even if are ON time still people may complain.. it's due to doctor's absence) and in night duties we continue till next day 4pm.. even 6pm at times!!

And what we do??

9Am-10am: Go to wards, do rounds! Wait for seniors.. again do rounds with them.

10Am-11Am: complete rounds, complete updated treatment, make sure they undergo tests, write discharges.

11am- 1pm: go to outpatient department.. see cases.. see cases.. see cases...
(Lunch break- 1-2pm)
1:30pm: still see cases..

1:35pm: again a case saying we came from far, please have a look..
Ok still, we see the case..

2pm:
call from ward: Ma'am 4patients got admitted , please come and write case sheet..

2pm-3:45pm: write case sheets

Go to room, try to wash our tired faces!! Again a call!!

It's 4pm
4pm-Go for rounds for ward patients.. check for complaints!

4pm-8pm
Run to casualty in case of emergencies!!

Find out history, advice tests, give emergency treatment (but still hear people complaints tests are not fast!! May be true.. but still that are not in our hands right?)

And the additional offer, call senior residents and ask for advice, send the reports, follow up reports and report to them.

8pm-9pm.. official dinner..

8pm
Again a call from the ward.. Ma'am the patient is complaining of chestpain.. please come fast!!

Complete the case till 9pm
Eat any leftover food from the canteen!!

Walk to the hostel...

And see the ambulance coming to the emergency...

And guess what!! We get a call!!

2Am
We will not realise when the night turned an another day!!

Go to hostel!! (And get auditory hallucinations of phone ringing 😂)

Suddenly getup and press the side button of phone to see for time

It's 2:30Am

Close eyes..

Tring...Tring (😂😂any ringtone of your phone)

Get up.. go

8am
Damn!!... How 8am?
We live on coffee!

Go freshen up... And again go to wards by 9am

Yea... We do work alot.. at the end of day what gives satisfaction?
when the patient recognises you even after months he got discharged, and thank you..

Yea.. we live for that!!
