35 ; Flashback

"Okay," Jade replied.

She had recovered from shock. Tom had said that he wanted to talk about the almost kiss. Honestly, Jade wanted to talk about it too.

"I really wanted to kiss you," Tom admitted. A small red blush apparently on his checks.

Honestly, Jade was feeling mix emotions. Her stomach felt that weird warm feeling, her heart was going faster than Kid Flash, her face was hot. It was the feeling of being scared, happy, shocked, and panic.

"Tom... I felt the same way," Jade confessed.

The two scooted closer each other. Both their hearts were beating incredibly fast. It probably could've saved Quicksilver from a bullet.

"I honestly care about you, love," Tom continued.

"Tom, I-" Jade was cut off by Harrison walking into the trailer.

"Hey, Tom. You're needed outside," Harrison informed Tom.

Jade's face flashed from blushing red to disappointment before she covered it up with a smile. She really wanted to talk with Tom about the kiss. Maybe their feelings too.

"Is it important?" Tom questioned. He was forced to look away from Jade and onto Harrison.

Harrison gave Tom a look that caused him to realize it was important. Their shared look spoke a thousand words that Jade didn't understand. It honestly looked like they were glaring at each other.

"I think I'm going to go now," Jade awkwardly stated. She got up and clapped her hands. "I got to learn some lines for tomorrow."

"No!" Harrison shouted. Tom's eyes widen and Jade hopped a little from the outburst. "I need your help with this screenplay that I'm writing while Tom goes outside."

"I'm going to go out really quick," said Tom. He quickly gave Jade a kiss on the cheek and ran outside.

Jade's grew larger, her face burned fr blushing, and her emotions were in a jumble. She blinked several times and tried to process the face that Tom gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Are you alright, Jade?" Harrison asked.

The girl nodded her head up and down before she took a seat. She stared straight ahead and tried to imagine it again. How it was quick and sweet. How her cheeks turned red immediately after.

"Okay, you think about how much you like Tom while I go outside and help Tom out with the surprise. I know you aren't listening to me because you have that look. The one that Ginny makes when she's about to eat food," Harrison ranted.

He noticed that Jade wasn't reacting so he left the trailer.

Five minutes had passed and Jade was still sorting out her feelings. She was snapped back to reality when Harrison threw a bag of candy at her. The Hispanic girl looked down at her hand and saw she was holding a bag of skittles.

"Why do I have a bag of Ginny's favorite candy in my hand?" Jade asked.

"I needed to get your attention," Harrison admitted. "Now go outside."

"Why?" Jade asked.

"Just go," Harrison answered.

Jade shrugged her shoulders, tossed the bag of candies back to him, and left the trailer. When she went outside, she immediately looked at the sky. The sun wasn't out anymore. The sky was a mixture of pink, purple, and a dark shade of blue. It was beautiful to watch.

"Jade?" Tom's voice tried to get her attention.

Her shifted her eyes away from the sky and onto Tom. A surprised gasp escaped her lips when she saw what was in front of her.

Candles were lined on the floor and lit up. It spelt 'girlfriend?' in a beautiful way. Tom stood in front of the candles with a box of donuts opened with words written it it. She had to take a step closer to see what was written.

'Jade Natalie Ramirez,
I donut want to be with anyone else but you. You're the most beautiful girl I have ever met. You are amazing and I care about you in every way. Will you be my girlfriend?
-T.H.'

"Jade, I know we've been talking through social media and that we went out a couple of times. But that was all I needed to develop a crush on you." Tom spoke with deep passion. His words made Jade tear up as she continued to listen. "I like how your face lights up when you talk about something you love. I like how you love to laugh at jokes, even if they're horrible. I like how you value family above all else. Jade, will you be my girlfriend?"

Jade nodded her head, whipped away tears, and nodded her head some more. She was finally every to let out a yes and repeated it several times. Soon, she jogged up to Tom and waited for him to set the box of donuts down. Once he was donut free, the two kissed.

It was soft, full of passion, pure love no lust, and it was wonderful. All their feelings were expressed in that one kiss until they had to pull apart for oxygen.
