you stepped out of the bus along with the other boys.

the vast sky appeared colourful as it took form in a rose and tangerine shade. the street lights flickered on one by one, illuminating the busy roads of busan. it was past six in the evening now and you were back from your small trip to yeongdo-gu after exploring the place.

"we'll catch up later, then." jungkook said as he joined seokjin, yoongi and hoseok who stood opposite you, taehyung, namjoon and jimin.

"alright, call us when you reach home." namjoon said as yoongi gave a thumbs up and the four parted ways from you all.

you too made your way back to your houses, as you puttered along the sidewalk, watching the vehicles pass by as taehyung and namjoon lead the way while walking with their hand round each other's shoulder and you and jimin followed along.

"so? are we good now?" you heard jimin say as he slid his hands onto his pocket, huffing out white mist in the air.

as soon as you heard the question, you moved your pupils around, mind wandering here and there.

"i like you, but i don't like you." you said scrunching your nose.

turning your head to face him, you saw him looking at you with a clueless face.

"what..?" he asked you.

"i don't see you the way i used to before so i like you perhaps one percent yet i still don't like you cause you're a pervert and a playboy." you sulked.

"yah!" you looked at him, your eyes digging at his as you stared at him unbelievably.

"say that again." you deadpanned.

"i, i meant that who said i'm a pervert and that i'm a playboy? i'm way more respectful than that!" this time, he sulked.

"really? when did you break up with your last girlfriend?"

"like a week ago."

"that's the thing! you haven't even moved on from her completely yet you asked your random customer on a date?" you chuckled. "and talking about your ex or perhaps, your exes on your date won't make you look good. they'll only sympathise you, nothing more than that." you stated with an obvious voice.

"i'll make sure not to do it on our third date then."

"hey!" you hit his arm as he chuckled, trying to save his poor arm.

"grandma, mom! we are home!" you and taehyung voiced out after entering the house.

you were once again welcomed by the warmth of this house as you removed your thick coat and left it to rest on the coat hanger which stood by the doorstep.

"do you want to eat something?" mom asked, coming out of her room, listening to the voice of her children.

"nope, we are full." taehyung said as he hung his coat on the coat hanger as well.

after ten at night, the light goes off in your grandma's house everyday. and so did tonight. everyone was now in their room, preparing to go to their slumber. meanwhile, you were in your room, the light still lit up as you wrote today's events in your journal.

your third day in busan was nearing to an end and the past three days were sure eventful. it felt like you were the main character of a book where things took a turn when you changed your location. starting from dumping a random cafe barista to finding you were friends with him along with five other boys in your childhood was shocking to you. not to forget the dumb reason you dated a random guy. to forget the one who left you.

as if out of habit, you reached the cupboard to pull out the scrapbook only to be reminded that you were no longer in seoul.
heaving a sigh, you walked to your luggage bag, pulling out the post bound scrapbook from earlier and going back to the table.

like everyday, you began to turn pages with a sniffle, reminiscing about the past as once again the thought struck your head, 'what went wrong.' your heart ached every time you saw his face. you wanted to turn back time, enjoy the moments once again to the fullest.

three firm knocks.

you slammed the scrapbook close, your eyes moving to your phone as the screen lit up to show 11:30 pm.

rubbing your eyes, you gulped and walked towards the door, ready to face whoever was at your door at this hour.

opening the door, you found your grandma in a nightgown standing before you with worried yet curious eyes that stared at you.

"sweetie, are you having trouble sleeping?" she asked you.

you smiled and gently shook your head as you answered, "nothing is troubling me, gran."

but the bloodshot eyes and dried tears on your rosy cheeks didn't go unnoticed by her.

"are you busy with something?" she asked you, her eyes moving inside your room.

"no, there is nothing like that." you chuckled while shaking your head. "come inside." you gave her way to enter the room as she walked in and seated herself on the bed.

"are you not able to sleep, grandma?" you asked her after closing the door and taking a seat on the chair as you faced her.

"the walls here are really thin." she answered while rubbing her knees and giving you a smile when you realised what she meant.

"i--i'm sorry, you had to hear my sniffles. it's so cold here that i sneezed a few times and now i have a runny nose." you chuckled in embarrassment.

you had expected her to catch your lie in a flash and ask you to 'spill the tea' but she didn't. she continued staring at your eyes. it felt like she was staring into your soul, being able to see each and every secret you had been hiding for years.

"what you hide in your heart, shows in your eyes." she spoke after a while of staring.

"you are strong, so don't give up." she smiled at you as she patted your head with her warm hand, as you melted at her touch and smiled, your eyes beginning to tear up.

"but i still feel bad for whatever i did." your smile fell as you thought deeper.

"what did you do?"

"i don't know. we were so good that i never imagined i would have to face something like this. that day, h--he ignored me for the whole day and the next day he was gone." looking up with your blurry vision, you swore you saw your grandma's eyes being gloomy for a second before looking at you with the same loving gaze she has had since the beginning.

"don't worry my dear, leave it to the time and everything will be alright." she smiled as she tucked you in your bed and turned off the light, wishing you a 'good night' as you felt being back in your childhood again.

a/n:- this was a pretty long chapter.
