with the flow of time, the liveliness of the cafe had disappeared as the cafe’s closing time neared.

“are you sure you’ll be fine by yourself?” grandma asked you while looking at you with concern when you told her you wanted to discover the busan streets after having snacks.

“i can tell one employee to accompany you. how about jungkook?” grandma asked, referring to the guy behind the counter.

“i’ll be fine by myself and i’ll be back by noon. don’t worry about me, grandma.” you smiled as you placed a hand on your grandma’s, ensuring her about it.

you ignored the fact that you were having an employee by yourself to go with.

after you were done pleading with her to let you go, she agreed and you watched her walking out of the cafe.

now as she is gone, you let out a sigh of relief yet somewhere you were guilty of making her worry about you and go back home alone.

your lips turned to a fine line as you tapped your feet, waiting for him to come out of the staff room.

“don’t worry, jimin is a nice guy. he’ll take good care of you throughout your small date,” jungkook said with a tight smile, a forced one, before resting his chin on his palm.

“oh! since jimin will exit from the back of the cafe, you can wait for him outside the cafe.” he told you while showing his hand directed to the entrance, seemingly annoyed by your presence.

you thanked him and walked out of the cafe, waiting for the boy to show up. and your patience paid off when you saw a motorbike halting in front of you. the biker took off his helmet, revealing the cute cafe barista you had agreed to have a date with.

he smiled at you while gesturing to you to take a seat. you smiled back as you hopped on his bike and he speeded off to the busy roads not knowing where he was taking you.

“i wonder what his face would look like when he realises this girl isn’t any ordinary girl but the granddaughter of the cafe owner.” jungkook wondered aloud while sighing as he watched the duo go out on their ‘small date’.

you entered another cafe, near to your grandmother’s.

the cafe walls were painted with baby blue, white furniture complimenting the spacious room and the coloured walls, making you feel you were by the beach side and indeed you were.

knowing busan was well known for its beaches, he took you to a beach side place, to make you feel better.

the barista named jimin, pulled out the chair for you before taking a seat across from you.

what a gentleman.

“want to drop by the beach after finishing up here?” he asked you, his brows raising in a questioning look.

“nah, beaches are for evening.” you smiled at the thought of running barefoot on the beachy sand in the sunset.

“are you telling me you’ll stay with me till the evening?” jimin suppressed a smile.

“depends on the next few hours i’ll be spending with you,” you said while rolling your eyes as a way of thinking. “change my mind if you can.”

“interesting.” he hummed while tapping the table with his fingers momentarily.

the barista of this cafe then approached your table, and after taking your orders, you both continued your conversation.

“by the way, park jimin.” he introduced himself.

“kim y/n.”

he awed. “it’s such a sweet name! y/n. i can get the hang of it.” he giggled as you joined him.

cute.

you both talked about yourselves and you seemed to have a delightful conversation. another thing, he was a curious cat. he couldn’t stop asking you questions as well as answering back the question he asked you.

“how many times have you been asked on a date?” he asked you.

you pondered. you were asked out a few times before you dated him.

“maybe two to three times. how many times have you asked someone on a date?” the way he had asked you out, you figured out he was the one to take the first step.

“seven times, or, was it eight?” he placed a hand on his chin, seeming to think about it.

you chuckled nervously while you nodded your head pretending to understand.

“hyung! hyung! it’s his thirteenth time asking a random girl out! and guess what? this girl isn’t a random one but the granddaughter of the cafe owner!” jungkook spread the news among his circle of friends in the call while he hoped his way back to his place.

“i can’t wait to see his face when he comes to know about it!”

how infuriating.

two hours. this jimin guy had been ranting for two hours about how his ex-girlfriends cheated on him and dumped him within a week. neither did you have any interest in knowing how many exes he had, nor did you want to know how horny they were for him.

while it had been two hours since you finished your bubble tea, his bubble tea was left untouched since the moment it arrived. you were offended by how he ignored your favourite drink, who looked at him with pleading eyes to take a sip.

you stood up from your seat, making him look at you with a perplexed face.

“maybe, you need to talk to a friend before asking another random girl out thinking it would ease your mind. i’m sorry, mr. park jimin, but you failed to change my mind.” you huffed, trying not to let the anger control you. “and yeah, give the bubble tea some attention. it feels lonely as well.” you grabbed your bag as you stormed out of the cafe while murmuring ‘no wonder why his exes dumped him’ under your breath which he, unfortunately, had heard.

on a second thought, maybe it wasn’t his day.
