-Book 1.-
As she entered the living room, her heart sank even further. Eugenia, her girlfriend, was there, packing her belongings with a look of sadness etched on her face.
The sight was like a punch to the gut, leaving Selena breathless and bewildered. She couldn't tear her eyes away from Eugenia, her mind racing with questions and confusion.
The reality of the situation seemed unfathomable, like a cruel twist of fate she never saw coming. She was completely speechless.
"What are you doing?!" Selena yelled, her voice cracking with emotion.
"I'm done with this," Eugenia replied, her eyes avoiding Selena's gaze.
"Why are you leaving me like this?" She yelled again, desperate for an answer.
"This is how it's supposed to be," Eugenia said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"So, you're leaving me after everything we've been through?" She asked, her voice trembling.
"I'm trying to protect you," Eugenia said, her eyes finally meeting Selena's.
"Well, this isn't how you handle things," Selena said, her frustration mounting.
"Then we don't really know each other that well," Eugenia said, her voice cold and distant.
"Why are you doing this?" She asked, her voice cracking with emotion.
"Look, I'm not trying to be a third wheel in my own relationship!" Eugenia yelled, her frustration boiling over.
"You're not a third wheel. Eugenia, you promised me you would fight for our relationship. We can fix this!" She said, her voice pleading.
"We can't fix this, and it's not worth the heartache. I'm so sorry," Eugenia said, her voice barely above a whisper, before turning and walking away.
"Walk away then, if that's all you're good for," Selena taunted, her eyes blazing with defiance and was done begging, done pleading for Eugenia to stay.
But then something unexpected happened. Eugenia pinned her against the wall and kissed her deeply, leading her to the bedroom.
Selena couldn't believe it - was this really happening? As they tumbled onto the bed, Selena felt a rush of anger and passion.
She straddled Eugenia's waist, kissing her roughly and letting all her pent-up frustration out. Afterwards, as Eugenia got dressed and prepared to leave, Selena couldn't believe it.
"You're still leaving?!" She yelled, feeling a sense of desperation creeping in.
"It's over," She said, and walked out the door.
Eugenia slammed the door shut and let out a long sigh, leaning her head against it. Despite her apprehension about leaving Selena, she knew there was no turning back, with her suitcase in tow, got into her car and drove away.
Selena felt a deep sense of emptiness and regret. Justin's proposal had caused her to lose Eugenia's love, leaving her alone and crying herself to sleep.

Their drinks arrived, and they eagerly awaited their food. Suddenly, Selena got down on one knee and pulled out a small box.
"Oh my god," Eugenia gasped.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you, forever. Will you marry me, Eugenia Howard Trejo?" Selena asked, her eyes shining with love.
"Yes, I will marry you!" She exclaimed.
Selena slipped the ring onto Eugenia's finger. They shared a passionate kiss.

The guests held their breath as Ashley and Eugenia's twin sister, Megan, handed over the rings. The pastor gave a heartfelt speech, and then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.
"Does anyone object to this couple getting married?" The pastor asked, looking out at the crowd.
Silence.
"Very well then, by the power vested in me and the state of California, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may now kiss the bride," He declared.
Eugenia wasted no time, wrapping her arms around Selena and pulling her in for a passionate kiss. The crowd erupted in cheers and wolf whistles as the newlyweds pulled away, grinning from ear to ear.
After the ceremony, the couple made their way to the reception, where they greeted guests and caught up with friends and family. When the DJ played a song they both loved, couldn't resist hitting the dance floor.
"Give it up for Mrs. and Mrs. Howard's first dance as wives!" The DJ announced, as the couple swayed to John Legend's "All of Me."
The moment the first song of the night started playing, the couple couldn't resist the urge to dance. With beaming smiles on their faces, they locked eyes as if it was the very first time they had ever laid eyes on each other.
"How do you feel?" Eugenia asked, her voice filled with excitement.
"I feel absolutely amazing right now. Is that how you're feeling?" She replied, her voice brimming with joy.
"Of course, baby. I'm your wife now," Eugenia said, planting a tender kiss on her partner's cheek.
"I wouldn't want it any other way, Eugenia,"
She replied, her voice filled with love and sincerity.
"I love you," Eugenia said, her words carrying the weight of a thousand emotions.
"I love you too," Selena responded, effortlessly swaying them back and forth as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
As they continued dancing, the energy in the room began to rise. Other people joined in, filling the dance floor with laughter and joy.
The couple reveled in the moment, cherishing every second as people raised their glasses for heartfelt toasts. Suddenly, a slideshow of their beautiful journey together flashed on the screen, showcasing their love story for all to see.
Undeterred, they continued dancing, their bodies moving in perfect harmony for hours on end. They kept dancing for a while.
"We should head to the airport," Selena suggested, breaking the spell of the enchanting evening.
"Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day," Eugenia announced, waving to the crowd before making her way to the car with her wife.
With their hearts still overflowing with love, the couple embarked on their next adventure - a honeymoon in the romantic city of Paris. They collected their tickets, gathered their belongings, and breezed through security, eager to begin their journey together.
As they boarded the plane, hand in hand, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for the weeks ahead. Paris awaited them, ready to be explored and cherished, just like their love for each other.
Every obstacle they faced, every challenge they overcame, every tear shed and every laugh shared, had led them to this very moment. They had weathered the storms of life together, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever before.
As they embarked on their journey as newlyweds, they were filled with an unwavering belief that they could conquer anything that came their way. They were willing to risk it all for each other, knowing that their love was worth every sacrifice.
With each passing day, their bond grew stronger, unbreakable. They had been through the depths of despair and had fought their way back to each other.
Now, as Selena gazed at her wife, peacefully asleep with her head resting on her shoulder, a smile spread across her face. She smiled softly at her.
"I could definitely get used to this," Selena whispered, wrapping her arm around Eugenia's shoulder and kissed her forehead.
She was filled with excitement for the life they were about to build together, with the younger woman in her arms. As she looked out of the window, Selena couldn't help but feel that her life was complete.
Her career was flourishing, her marriage was thriving, and she had everything she had ever wanted. What more could she ask for in this very moment?
Yet, deep down, Selena knew that challenges would inevitably come their way. She was determined to stay married to the woman sitting beside her, no matter what obstacles they faced.
With that thought in mind, she closed her eyes, allowing sleep to wash over her. As she drifted off, she knew that their love would guide them through whatever lay ahead.

Book 2.
"You can say it then," She murmured under her breath.
The words that escaped Selena's lips left her in utter disbelief. She instinctively covered her mouth, unable to comprehend the situation unfolding before her.
"I want the divorce, Eugenia," Selena finally stated, her voice filled with finality.
(----)
She paused for a moment, taking another sip from her water bottle and wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Lost in her thoughts, she turned around and was taken aback by the sight of her ex-wife, Eugenia.
Her eyes widened with surprise, a mix of shock and anticipation filling her gaze. She parted her lips, ready to speak, but before she could utter a word, she was abruptly interrupted.
"Hey, Selena," Eugenia greeted, her eyes scanning Selena from head to toe.
"Where's your girlfriend at?" She spat out, her tone laced with bitterness.
"I don't have a one," She replied, her voice steady.
Without missing a beat, Selena downed her water bottle, tossing it effortlessly into a nearby trash can. Confusion etched across her ex's face.
"Cut it out," She said rolling her eyes.
"What are you even talking about?" Eugenia asked.
"You called her babe and held her hand, Eugenia. It's obvious you two are a thing," She said, disappointment tainting her words.
"Wow, seriously?" She questioned, her voice tinged with disbelief.
"Yeah, dead serious," Selena affirmed.
"You still look really hot when you're jealous. I miss that look on your face." She said.
"I am not jealous. Right now, I am happy with someone who makes me happier than you ever did!" Selena lied, her words filled with regret as soon as they left her mouth.
The confession hung in the air, causing Eugenia's eyes to widen in astonishment. A flicker of hurt passed through her gaze, and grimaced, trying to conceal her sadness.
"I hope you are happy with whoever you are seeing. They're lucky to have you," She managed to say, her voice tinged with a hint of sorrow.
"I hope you find someone, Eugenia," Selena said, taking a step closer.
Eugenia blinked, feeling tears welling up in her eyes. Selena found herself instinctively pulling Eugenia into a comforting embrace, as if nothing bad had ever happened between them.
They held each other tightly, but as their eyes locked. Selena's gaze involuntarily drifted to her lips and leaned in.
"Selena," Eugenia whispered, their lips briefly touching.
But Selena pulled away immediately. She sighed shaking her head.
"I can't do this," Selena said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I'm not dating anyone. I can't get over you," She admitted, her vulnerability on full display.
"I know how you feel. I lied about dating someone," Selena confessed, her eyes locked onto Eugenia's.
"I'm sorry," She expressed with sincerity, her eyes filled with regret.
"Is that so?" She questioned, her curiosity piqued, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"Yes, I truly am sorry," She whispered, her voice barely audible, her shoulders slumping in guilt.
"Why didn't you fight for our marriage then?!" Eugenia exclaimed, her frustration evident, her voice laced with hurt.
"I should have never let you leave us. I should have fought against the divorce, especially since I filed the papers that morning," Selena regretfully admitted, gently touching her cheek, her eyes welling up with tears.
"You shattered my heart into a million pieces, Selena Marie Gomez," Eugenia whispered, her voice trembling as she sniffled, her hands trembling with emotion.
"I'm so sorry for not fighting for our marriage," She whispered, her gaze fixed on her ex, her heartache visible in her eyes.
"I thought you were the one," Eugenia said, unable to meet her ex's eyes, her voice filled with longing.
"You will always be the love of my life. I'm such a coward for walking away," Selena said, shaking her head in self-disappointment, her voice filled with regret and self-blame.
"Why did you do walk away?" She asked, her eyes glancing on her.
"I thought we would both find more happiness if we weren't together anymore," She admitted, running a hand through her hair.
"You thought I would be happier without you as my wife?!" She screamed, her voice filled with disbelief.
In frustration, she began to pound on her chest, but the pain seemed to have no effect on her. She kept doing it.
"I was only thinking about what was best for us in the end," Selena defended, pushing her away.
"I can't believe you threw our marriage away because you didn't love me," She said, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Of course I loved you, Eugenia!" Selena yelled, her voice filled with raw emotion.
"Oh, really? That's a fantastic way of showing your love!" She shouted back, her anger boiling over.
"You know why I did it!" She yelled, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and desperation.
"Why did you break my heart? Care to explain?" Eugenia asked, placing her hands on her hips.
"I already told you why I had to end our marriage," Selena replied, crossing her arms over her chest and rolling her eyes.
"That's a load of crap, and we both know it," Eugenia retorted.
"Please don't make me say something I'll regret," Selena said, trying to hold back her anger.
"You can't handle the truth, can you?" Eugenia growled.
"I felt unsatisfied in our relationship. I didn't think you were capable of being mature, and that's why I was unfaithful," Selena admitted with a sigh.
"Well, it's nice to know how much our marriage really meant to you," Eugenia said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
"That's not what I meant, and you know it," Selena whispered, rubbing her temple to calm herself down.
"I'll see you around then," Eugenia said, turning to leave.
"Wait, let me apologize for what I said. I didn't mean it," Selena said quietly.
"You've already said enough. I was in pain when you asked me to sign the divorce papers," Eugenia replied.
"I don't want to lose you again. We can fix this," Selena pleaded.
"You lost me twice before. I don't know if we can get back the love we had. But I'll always love you, Selena Marie Gomez," Eugenia said, placing a kiss on her cheek before walking away.
Selena watched her go, feeling a sense of loss wash over her. She headed to her mother's house, trying not to disturb her family and once inside her bedroom, replayed the conversation in her head.
She whispered before promising to move on. She got into bed to sleep.
"I thought you were the one,"
(---)
Eugenia gracefully dropped down to one knee, capturing Selena's attention. With a raised eyebrow, she silently encouraged her girlfriend to continue speaking.
"Selena Marie Gomez, you are the love of my life. I cannot fathom a future without you by my side. Your love and appreciation have filled my heart whenever we are together. You have transformed me into a better person, constantly growing and evolving. You bring me a happiness I never thought possible. So, with that being said, will you honor me by becoming my wife once again?" Eugenia asked, pulling a small box from her pocket and revealing the ring inside, her smile radiating pure joy.
Selena's reaction was one of complete shock and disbelief. She instinctively covered her mouth with her hand, unable to find the words to express her surprise.
(——)
Eugenia took the ring out of her pocket and held it up, examining it closely. As she did so, she asked, "May I?"
"Yes, you may," Selena said, accompanied by a nod.
With a smile, Eugenia slid the ring onto her finger, her eyes welling up with tears. She looked at Selena, who gently wiped away her tears and smiled, shaking her head.
Eugenia leaned in and kissed Selena passionately. Selena eagerly returned the kiss before pulling away.
"We're getting married," Eugenia announced.
"I can't believe this is happening," Selena replied.
Eugenia sat down on the couch, a contented smile on her face. Selena kissed her cheek and settled onto her lap.
"Are you tired?" Selena asked.
"Yeah, I am," Eugenia replied.
Selena lifted Eugenia into her arms, wrapping her arms around her neck and her legs around her waist. They laid down on the bed, and Eugenia smiled as Selena rested her head against her chest, closing her eyes.
(——)
Eugenia whispered, leaning into Selena's embrace. "Because I don't know if I could handle going through that pain again."
Selena tightened her hold, her voice filled with determination. "I will do everything in my power to protect your heart, to make sure you never have to experience that kind of hurt again."
Eugenia looked up at Selena, her eyes searching for sincerity. "I want to believe you, Selena. I want to trust that things will be different this time."
Selena cupped Eugenia's face in her hands, her gaze unwavering. "I understand that trust is something that needs to be earned, and I am willing to work for it. I will show you, through my actions and my love, that I am committed to making this relationship stronger than ever."
Eugenia felt a flicker of hope ignite within her, a glimmer of faith in the possibility of a future filled with love and happiness. "I want to believe in us, Selena. I want to believe that we can overcome our past and build something beautiful together."
Selena smiled, her eyes shining with sincerity. "We can, Eugenia. We can create a love that is unbreakable, a bond that is built on trust and understanding. I am willing to fight for us, for our happiness."
Eugenia took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that healing would take time, that rebuilding trust would be a journey. But in that moment, as she looked into Selena's eyes, she knew that she was willing to take that leap of faith.
"Okay," She whispered, her voice filled with vulnerability. "Okay, let's give us another chance."
Selena's smile widened, her grip on Eugenia tightening. "I promise you, Eugenia, I will spend every day proving to you that you made the right choice. We will create a love story that is stronger than any doubt or fear."
As they stood there, their hearts entwined, Eugenia felt a sense of hope and excitement for the future. She knew that there would be challenges ahead, but with Selena by her side, she was ready to face them head-on. Together, they would rewrite their story, turning the pain of the past into a foundation for a love that would endure.
Eugenia stood nervously to the side of the room, her cell phone clutched tightly in her hand. She absentmindedly rubbed her neck, a telltale sign of her unease when it came to sharing difficult truths with others.
Meanwhile, Selena sat comfortably on the bed, a warm smile playing on her lips. Suddenly, she caught sight of a familiar face out of the corner of her eye and her grin widened. With a surge of excitement, she stood up and made her way towards Eugenia.
As Selena approached, she couldn't resist stealing a quick peck on Eugenia's lips. Tilting her head to the side, she gazed at her with affection.
"Hey there, baby," Selena greeted, her voice filled with love.
"Hi there." Eugenia responded.
"I love you," Selena declared, her words filled with sincerity.
"I love you too. I'm so sorry for everything I've put you through in our relationship," Eugenia apologized, her voice tinged with regret.
"It's okay, babe," Selena reassured her, her voice filled with understanding.
"No, it's really not. I need to tell you something, something really bad," Eugenia confessed, her voice trembling.
"What is it?" Selena asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Please, tell me," She added, her eyes pleading.
Eugenia's lips quivered softly as she glanced over at the wall, gathering her thoughts. Sensing her distress, Selena gently pulled her face back to meet her gaze, her mouth poised to speak.
"You're kinda scaring me, baby," Selena admitted, a hint of worry creeping into her voice.
Eugenia let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding. With her face just inches away from Selena's, she finally spoke the words that had been weighing heavily on her heart.
"I have a secret I've been keeping..."
