Selena stepped out of the building, a smile gracing her lips as she glanced down at the pavement. She made her way to her car, sliding into the backseat and shutting the door behind her. Clutching her purse, she checked her phone, letting out a sigh before tossing it into her bag. The driver took off towards her home.

As she gazed out the window, she shifted her head against the seat, then exited the car and entered her apartment, ready to rest. The following day, she was out with Raquelle, her phone in hand as they strolled. Selena noticed the paparazzi snapping photos but chose to ignore them, shielding her face with her hand as she hurried back inside her apartment, closing the door firmly behind her. She sank into the couch, seeking comfort.

With a water bottle in hand, she stole a glance at her friend, chuckling as they walked together. Adjusting her hat, she made her way to a nearby bench, rubbing her neck before taking a seat. After a moment, Selena rose from the ground, gathering a few more breadcrumbs to toss into the air, a grin spreading across her face. She held her shoes in one hand and left after a while.

Running her fingers through her hair, she entered the restaurant, scanning the room until she found a table and settled into a chair to have dinner. Her gaze drifted to the menu, studying it intently for a moment. Selena raised her eyes to meet the waiter's, a smile gracing her lips as she placed her order. She ate dinner, going to the car outside.

With a smile, she gazed out the window, tucking her sunglasses into her purse. She bit her lip thoughtfully and let out a gentle sigh. Her eyes fell to her hand, noticing the absence of her ring. It had been a while since she last wore it, not since leaving treatment a few weeks ago.

She hadn't dared to look at it since she removed it. After a moment, she retrieved the ring from her purse, a smile spreading across her face as she twirled it playfully. Sliding it back onto her finger, she admired it briefly.
She turned her attention to the road ahead.

Upon arriving at her apartment, she dialed Eugenia's number, and they arranged to meet and discuss wedding plans. It had been some time since their last conversation. Settling onto the couch, she switched on the TV, running her fingers through her hair. She placed her purse beside her and began to immerse herself in the show, leaned her head back against the couch, a soft chuckle escaping her lips.

Turning her head slightly, she caught the sound of a knock at the door. Rising to her feet, she made her way to the door and opened it with a bright smile. Stepping into the apartment, she leaned in and kissed her gently, shutting the door with a grin. With a warm smile, she wrapped her arms around her, pulling her close as they headed to the couch.

Eugenia settled down beside her, resting her head comfortably on her shoulder. She pressed her lips softly against hers, closing the door behind them. She pulled away. She beamed with joy.

"Wow, Eugenia, what a delightful surprise!" she exclaimed.

"I just wanted to see you," She said softly, accompanied by a casual shrug.

"That's so sweet of you," Selena responded warmly.

"I know," She said, a playful smirk crossing her face.

Wrapping her arm around Eugenia's shoulder, she leaned her head against her chest, holding her close as a smile blossomed on her face. She looked at her. Eugenia bit her lip.

"So..." Selena began, trailing off.

"So, what?" Eugenia inquired, curious.

"I saw that picture of you and her," Selena mentioned.

"Wait, what do you mean?" Eugenia asked, confusion evident in her voice.

"You and your girlfriend. It popped up on my Instagram feed when I returned from New York," She clarified.

"Oh no, I'm really sorry about that," Eugenia said, her expression shifting.

"It's okay. She came to talk to me about your relationship," Selena admitted.

"Why would she do that?" Eugenia questioned, her brow furrowing.

"She told me she was in love with you," Selena revealed.

"I can't believe she would go behind my back like this," Eugenia said, disbelief in her tone.

"I thought you might have already known. I didn't think it would surprise you," Selena replied.

"Well, I'm definitely surprised. I had no idea," Eugenia said, shaking her head.

Selena took a deep breath, her fingers running through her hair as she exhaled. Eugenia gazed at her, a puzzled look on her face, resting her chin on her hand. She sighed softly. She bit her lip.

"Are you in love with her?" Selena blurted out.

"I don't have feelings for her at all. I made it clear that I wouldn't choose her over you," Eugenia replied.

"That's not what I expected to hear from you," Selena remarked.

"I'll end things with her," Eugenia assured.

"I really hope you do," Selena said.

"I'll do it for you," Eugenia promised.

"I trust you," Selena replied.

"Shall we start planning the wedding?" Eugenia suggested.

Selena nodded enthusiastically, pulling out her laptop. She began browsing various wedding websites, biting her lip as she grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. Eugenia couldn't help but smirk. Her head resting her head on Selena's shoulder as she peered at the screen, a smile spreading across her face.

"Hey, babe?" She said softly.

"Yes?" Selena responded.

"I love you," Eugenia declared.

"I love you too," Selena replied warmly.

Eugenia took Selena's hand. She returned her focus to the computer. Selena jotted down notes intermittently. They continued their planning for a while until they wrapped up.

Selena strolled along the hillside before settling down on the grass. Eugenia took out her phone. She snapped a picture of her fiancé. She joined her on the hill and grinned.

With a warm smile, she wrapped her arm around Selena's shoulder, resting her head gently on her chest while soothingly rubbing her back. Their eyes met, and she playfully nudged her nose against Selena's. A smile spread across her face as she let her hand slide down to Selena's waist, pressing her lips together in a thoughtful line. Selena let out a deep breath and leaned back slightly.

"I'm really glad we are doing this," Eugenia expressed.

"Me too," Selena replied, her smile brightening.

"Have you found a dress yet?" Eugenia asked.

"I've been searching," Selena replied.

"That's great to hear," Eugenia said encouragingly.

"I want to keep an open mind this time," Selena admitted softly.

Eugenia nodded in understanding. Selena fidgeted with her sweater. Her mind drifting to the upcoming wedding. She felt feeling optimistic about it this time.

"We should come here more often," Eugenia suggested.

"I wouldn't mind doing this every now and then, babe," Selena replied as she stood up, brushing off her jeans.

Eugenia took her hand. They walked to the car, slid into the driver's seat while Selena settled in beside her. As they drove to Selena's house, she leaned in for a kiss. Eugenia returned before pulling away. Selena opened the door.

"I love you, beautiful," She said warmly.

"I love you too," Eugenia replied, heading toward the door.

Selena waved goodbye. Eugenia waved back before entering her home. After driving back, she spent the evening watching TV before heading to bed. She smiled drifting off to sleep.
