Eugenia settled onto the comfortable couch, pulling out her phone with anticipation. Opening Instagram, eagerly scrolled through her feed, hoping to catch a glimpse of her fiancé, Selena. And there it was, a picture of Selena that made her heart skip a beat. She longed to comment, but knew better than to risk exposing their relationship. 

It wouldn't be wise. Running a hand through her hair, Eugenia let out a sigh as she stood up from the couch. Making her way to the bedroom, sat down on the bed, her mind still consumed by thoughts of Selena.

With a deep breath, reached into her pocket and retrieved her phone. Dialing the woman's number, Eugenia pressed the call button and brought the phone to her ear. She waited anxiously for an answer. Finally, her girlfriend's voice greeted her on the other end.

"Hey there, babe," Her girlfriend said.

"Come over," Eugenia replied.

Ending the call, bit her lip, feeling excitement and anticipation. Just then, a text message notification caught her attention. Opening it, found a picture sent by Theresa. It was Selena on the beach, most likely from a recent vacation as Eugenia couldn't help but exhale in delight.

A smile formed across her face looking at the photo, eagerly anticipating the moment she would see her fiancé again. However, she couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment, realizing that their plans to spend the holidays together had fallen through. She sighed, knowing that Selena didn't want the press to know about their reunion.

Leaning in closer to the photo, Eugenia's eyes caught something missing. Her ring. It reminded her that they hadn't discussed any wedding plans yet. Uncertain of when they would be able to plan, understood Selena's desire to keep their relationship private.

She shook her head, switching off her cell phone. Carefully, placed it inside her purse and closed it tightly. With a sigh, laid down on the bed, her feet dangling off the edge. Suddenly, heard footsteps approaching and quickly rose from the bed.

Her gaze landed on the figure standing in the doorway. She couldn't help but think how beautiful she looked. A smile graced her lips taking in the sight before her, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. She shook her head and chuckled.

"You said you wanted to see me, Eugenia," She said.

"Yeah, I did say that," Eugenia replied.

"For what, babe?" She asked.

"I missed you a lot," She admitted shyly.

"I missed you too," She responded.

"Come over here," Eugenia ordered.

A chuckle escaped her lips as she made her way towards her. Standing in front of her, wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling her in for a passionate kiss. Eugenia eagerly kissed her back, drawing her closer. She led her towards the bed, gently pushing her down onto it and broke the kiss, placing a tender kiss on her cheek and Eugenia leaned into the touch.

"I want to go public," She declared.

"You know I can't do that," Eugenia whispered.

She let out a sigh, sitting on the bed and crossing her arms over her chest. She could see the conflicted expression on her face and ran a hand through her hair. Biting her lip, didn't want to lose her. The thought of going public was complicated by her engagement to Selena Gomez.

"Maybe it's just not meant to be," She mused.

"Don't you dare say that! This is far from over," She declared defiantly.

"Why are you being so selfish?" She shouted in frustration.

"I already told you, I'm not ready," She reminded.

"Perhaps we shouldn't be together," She suggested.

"Fine then," Eugenia replied, rolling her eyes in exasperation.

She winced and shook her head, standing up and extending her hand. Her girlfriend raised an eyebrow, but took her hand anyway and they headed towards the door. They walked out of the house, fingers intertwined. She held her hand as they made their way to the car and couldn't help but wonder where they were going.

"Where are we headed?" She asked curiously.

"It's a surprise," Eugenia said.

She rolled her eyes playfully as she got into the car. Pressing a kiss on her girlfriend's cheek, started pulling out of the driveway, her eyes focused on the road ahead. She held her hand tightly as they drove down a deserted road. Eventually, stopped the car and smiled.

"Is this it?" She questioned.

"Yeah, it is," Eugenia said sheepishly.

She nodded, turning off the car and stepping out. Her girlfriend hurried to open the door for her, a soft smile on her face. She took her hand and looked around as Eugenia led the way. Following closely, couldn't help but be amazed by the view in front of her as Eugenia pulled her close, planting a gentle kiss on the side of her head and leaned into the embrace.

"This is absolutely beautiful," She commented.

"I'm glad you like it," Eugenia replied.

"I don't," She teased.

"Wait, what?" Eugenia said.

"I love it," She clarified, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"You had me worried there," Eugenia chuckled.

She pulled out her phone, watching her girlfriend closely. Sticking her tongue out playfully, she snapped a picture of the breathtaking view behind her. She smiled softly. She shook her head.

"Hey," She called out.

"Yeah?" She replied.

"I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing surprise," She expressed.

"You're welcome," Eugenia responded.

As she gazed at her, a smile formed on her lips. Returning the smile, pulled her closer. For a brief moment, couldn't help but glance at her lips, feeling a lump in her throat. She smiled.

Their eyes locked, and inched closer, feeling her breath on her face. With a grin, leaned in and kissed her. She reciprocated the kiss, holding her tightly. Smiling against her lips, eventually pulled away, looking into her eyes.

"I'm in love with you, Eugenia," She whispered.

"I feel the same way," She fibbed.

The two of them stayed there for a while, enjoying each other's company. Eventually, they walked down the path together, hand in hand. Eugenia kissed her hand before they reached the car, and she drove her home. As she looked at her, a smile spread across her face.

Holding her hand, turned onto the street. She stopped in front of the apartment building. Giving her a goodbye kiss. She watched her enter the building.

Selena returned from her vacation and settled down on the couch. Taking out her cell phone, she decided to share a picture from her trip on Instagram. Staring at the picture, couldn't help but smile at the beautiful sight before her. Chewing on her lip, eventually closed the app on her phone.

Walking over to the couch, sat down. She ran her hand through her hair. Putting her phone away. She watched TV for a while.

As Selena made her way to her pilates class, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. It was a private session, but she wasn't alone this time. Walking towards the entrance, she spotted Justin by her side. He headed in the opposite direction towards his car and shook her head, she continued on her own.

After the class, Selena left the building and headed towards her car. Getting inside, started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot, driving towards her house. As she walked through the front door, closed it behind her and made her way to the bathroom. Stripping down, stepped into the shower, cleansing her body and refreshing her mind.

Once she was done, Selena grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself. Heading to the bedroom, put her hair up in a bun and slipped on a jacket. Ready to go out again, left the house and met up with a friend to go to church.

Selena stayed through the service, finding solace and peace within the walls of the church. When it was over, left the building, walking out with her friend. Making her way to her car, got inside and started the engine, ready to drive. Back at home, Selena walked into her house and closed the door shut.

She sat down on the couch, leaning her head back and placing her bag on the ground. Chewing her lip, eventually stood up and headed to the kitchen. Taking a seat at the chair, Selena took out her phone and scrolled through her Instagram feed, admiring the pictures and moments captured by others. Lost in the world of social media, found herself immersed in the beauty and creativity of others.

As she scrolled, her breath caught at a posted picture which is Eugenia was with someone else. A lump formed in her throat. It was hard to believe what she was seeing. But the worst was yet to come when she read the caption below.

"I'm with the person I love dearly. She makes me so fucking happy. You know how much I love and appreciate you, Eugenia." - the girlfriend.

"Oh, fuck," She whispered under her breath.

"I messed up," She admitted.

With a sigh, turned off her phone and got up from the chair. She headed to the bedroom to change. She got into bed. She eventually fell asleep in bed.
