TWO. wrong.
As the morning sun gently streamed through the curtains, Selena groggily rolled out of bed and made her way towards the kitchen.
She found Niall there, setting the breakfast on the table. A melody escaped her lips as she leaned against the wall, captivated by his singing.
A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she watched him, her heart swelling with affection. Niall noticing her presence, turned his head and his smile grew wider and the sight of her leaning against the wall filled him with warmth, and he couldn't help but feel a little nervous.
In that moment, wanted to savor every second with this incredible woman. With a bashful smile, rubbed the back of his neck, his adoration for her shining in his eyes.
As he looked at her, she glanced down at the ground, her cheeks tinged with a rosy hue. Niall chuckled softly and closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace from behind.
"Hey there, gorgeous," He said, twirling her around to face him and she couldn't help but smile at the sight of him.
"Hey, handsome," She replied, giving him a peck on the lips.
"How'd you sleep?" He asked taking a seat on the kitchen table.
"I slept like a baby. And you?" She asked, sitting down next to him.
"Amazing, especially with you by my side," He said, planting a kiss on her cheek.
"You're the best," She said, feeling her heart swell with love.
"I try," He said, flashing her a charming grin.
"I should get going now. I'll try to call you soon," She promised, giving him one last kiss before heading out.
As she drove away, Selena breathed a sigh of relief that the paparazzi weren't lurking around. She couldn't help but feel guilty for cheating on her wife of eleven months, knew it was wrong, but couldn't resist the pull of her lover.
Pulling into her driveway, Selena turned off the engine and pulled out her phone. She scrolled through pictures of her and Eugenia on their wedding day, feeling a pang of regret for betraying her.
As Selena stared at her phone screen, a single tear rolled down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away, her finger hovering over the pictures.
With a deep breath, she turned off her phone and placed it in her purse. Exiting the car locked the door and made her way to the front door of her house.
Standing in the doorway, she was greeted by her loving wife, Eugenia. Eugenia pulled Selena inside and closed the door behind her, a warm smile on her face.
"Hey there, babe," She said, placing her bag on the couch.
"Are you okay, Selena? You seem to have been crying a lot more recently." She asked.
Selena couldn't hold back her tears any longer and began to sob quietly into Eugenia's chest. She couldn't believe how caring and gentle her wife was being.
She felt undeserving of such love. She mustered the courage to speak.
"I'm really stressed about tour this year," She admitted.
"Don't be. You will do amazing, just like you always do. I know it's hard now, but you'll persevere like usual." She kissed Selena's forehead and rubbed her back.
"Thank you," Selena whispered, wiping away her tears and pulling away to look at Eugenia.
"Anytime, baby," Eugenia replied, wiping away Selena's tears.
Selena smiled and led them towards the couch, pulling Eugenia close to her body. With her wife by her side, Selena knew she could conquer anything.
"Hey, where were you last night?" She asked, her eyes filled with curiosity.
"I was at Priscilla's house, having the time of my life." Selena replied with a mischievous grin spread across her face.
"Oh, that's fantastic! How's everyone over there doing?" She inquired, genuinely interested.
"They're all doing amazing! I absolutely love spending time with them." Selena's eyes sparkled with joy as she answered and soft smile illuminated the room.
"I'm so glad to hear that. It's always great when everyone is doing well." She said.
"So, how was your night, babe?" She asked.
"Well, I spent most of it catching up on work stuff. I tried calling you a few times, but it seemed like your phone was off..." She admitted.
"Oh, that's a shame," She said, pulling Eugenia closer.
A mischievous glint returned to Selena's eyes as she leaned in to kiss her. Their lips locked in a passionate embrace, their desire evident in every touch.
Eugenia couldn't help but moan as they fought for space, their bodies entwined in a dance of love. Eventually, they reluctantly pulled away needing to catch their breath.
Selena rose from the couch making her way to the bedroom and taking a seat on the bed. With a hint of excitement in her voice and smiled.
"Guess what? I found an amazing apartment for us yesterday." Selena announced.
"Really? That's incredible!" She exclaimed, lying down on the bed.
"Yeah.. maybe we can go see it another time." She said.
"Sure, no problem. So, do you want some breakfast?" She asked, standing up.
"Yes, please! I'm absolutely starving." She eagerly replied.
As Selena walked into the kitchen, she couldn't help but notice that her wife, Eugenia, had breakfast ready. A mix of emotions flooded her mind - pride in being with Eugenia, but also the worry of her discovering the affair.
"The food is done," Eugenia said, breaking Selena out of her thoughts.
"I can't wait to try it," Selena whispered, taking a seat across from her wife.
Eugenia sat down next to her, and Selena reached across the table to grab her hand before they both started eating. As they enjoyed their meal, Eugenia took a sip of her drink, seemingly unaware of the turmoil going on inside Selena.
Suddenly, Selena's phone buzzed, and she couldn't help but smile as she read the text message. It was from Niall, the person she was having an affair with.
"Hey, I miss you," The text read.
"I miss you too, hun. I'll see you soon," Selena replied, trying to keep her excitement hidden.
"Who are you texting?" She asked.
"I'm talking to Ashley about a trip," Selena whispered, hoping to divert Eugenia's attention.
"What trip are you talking about?" Eugenia inquired.
"Oh, it's a trip to my hometown in Texas with some of the girls," Selena stated, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Does this trip involve me?" Eugenia asked, her voice filled with a hint of concern.
"I wouldn't want you to feel left out," Selena assured her.
"I know," Eugenia said, a smile forming on her lips.
The couple continued making small talk throughout the meal, but as soon as they finished, Eugenia excused herself to clean up. She grabbed her car keys.
"I'm going to see my sister. I'll be back in a while," She said, kissing Selena's cheek.
"I'll see you later then. You should tell her I said hi," Selena replied, waving as Eugenia left.
As Eugenia headed out, Selena prepared herself for an interview and made her way to the building. With the help of her team, arrived and settled in and just as she was getting comfortable, a text notification popped up from a locked number, curiosity piqued swiping to read it.
"She knows about your affair," The text read, accompanied by a picture of her and Niall kissing.
"Oh shit..." She muttered under her breath.
