TWENTY SEVEN. answer.

"Are you serious right now?" Selena asked, her eyebrows raised in disbelief.

"Absolutely. I'm dead serious," Eugenia replied firmly.

Selena looked at her, unsure if she was ready for what was coming next. Eugenia stood up, holding the small box in her hand.

She shook her head. She sighed softly running a hand through her hair as the woman spoke up again.

"What do you say then?" She asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"I can't marry you," Selena said, her heart heavy.

Eugenia closed the box and stuffed it into her pocket, looking at Selena with a pained expression. Selena leaned against the wall, grimacing.

"I'm so tired of seeing you out with him. I told you I'm okay with your relationship, but I'm really not. I should probably just go home now," She said, her voice laced with frustration and stepped back from her.

"Wait, what?" Selena whispered.

"That's how I feel," Eugenia said, slamming the door of the apartment shut as she left.

"Fuck," Selena whispered to herself, feeling lost and confused.

She wasn't sure if she was ready for marriage after what she had done to her girlfriend and ex wife. She sighed softly, wondering what the future held for them and wiped a tear away from her cheek.

Selena sank down to the floor, her mind racing with regret and confusion. She had always known that her relationship with her girlfriend was kinda complicated, but she never expected it to come to this.

The weight of her actions and the consequences they had brought upon them suddenly felt unbearable. Tears welled up in Selena's eyes as she realized the extent of the damage she had caused and wiped her tears away.

Selena entered the bathroom to brush her teeth and get dressed. Afterward, she took her purse and her puppy and left the apartment.

Once inside the car, she closed the door while Theresa followed suit. As she glanced out the window, a smile formed on her face.

With a smile still on her face, the blonde stepped out to fetch coffee for both of them. She went into the coffee shop and had her earbuds on.

Carrying Charlie in her arms, strolled along the coffee shop and left. She trailed behind and took a sip.

Walking on the sidewalk, she made her way towards her apartment. Slipping on her jacket, she grinned.

Running her fingers through her hair, she inhaled deeply. She gave a single nod while gazing at her reflection in the mirror.

Snatching her bag, she exited the trailer and headed towards the set. Walking alongside another person, she treaded on the sidewalk.

As she climbed into the cab, a smile spread across her face. Exiting the vehicle, she made her way towards the set.

Observing the scene in front of her, Selena listened intently as the director gave pointers to the actors. She did the scene.

During a break, she retreated to her trailer, anxiously checking her phone for any messages from her girlfriend Eugenia about their fight. Though unsure of what to say, Selena was determined to work through their issues.

Leaving her trailer, she walked to the set and joined Timothee for a few scenes. As the director called it a day, Selena hugged her co-star before heading back to her trailer and got some stuff to leave the set after taking pictures with fans.

Carrying her bag, she made her way to her apartment with a smile on her face. She walked inside closing the door behind her.

She approached the couch and took a seat, running her hand through her hair as she let out a sigh. Wrapping her arms around her puppy, she smiled and began rubbing his stomach.

Charlie happily jumped off the couch, wagging his tail in the air and she chuckled as she noticed her assistant engrossed in her cell phone. Getting up from the couch, she put on a sweater and sat back down.

"Hey, something happened last night with Eugenia," She whispered, letting out another sigh.

"What is it?" Theresa asked, setting her phone down to give her full attention.

"I'm not sure if I should tell you what's going on," She said quietly.

"I won't judge you, if that's what you're worried about," Theresa reassured her.

"She asked me to marry her last night," She admitted.

"What?" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, she just proposed to me yesterday," She said, nervously rubbing the back of her neck and nodding.

"So, what did you tell her?" Theresa inquired.

"I told her that I couldn't marry her," She replied.

"Did you give her a reason why you didn't say yes to the proposal?" She asked.

"I told her I'm not ready yet," Selena said.

"That's a valid reason. I hope she understood that," Theresa said.

"She stormed off after telling me that she didn't like seeing me with him everywhere and all over town. She hates that we can't act like that in public," She explained.

"She does have a point there. If you had said yes, people would assume you're engaged to him, which isn't the case," Theresa pointed out.

"I'm going to apologize when I can," Selena said.

"Good luck with the conversation," Theresa said, glancing back at her phone.

"Thank you," She replied.

"You're welcome," Theresa said.

With a grin on her face, she reached for her bag resting on the couch and left the trailer with her. She headed out to the car waiting outside of to take her to the apartment and grabbed Charlie from the bed.

Gently holding him under his arm, she strolled towards the entrance of the building for his checkup. A smile never left her face as she walked inside.

Taking a seat in the lobby, she patiently waited for her turn to be called in. She looked around biting her lip.

As she made her way through the room, she cradled him in her arms and gazed down at the floor as she entered the room. Afterwards, she headed towards the waiting car and drove her to her apartment and walked into the apartment.

Lying across her bed in the bedroom, she closed her eyes shut. Selena drifted off to sleep.

The following day, Selena woke up and headed to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast to eat before settling down on the set of her latest movie. Dressed in a white shirt and sporting sunglasses, she clutched a script in her hand walking on the sidewalk.

As she arrived on set, Selena glanced down at the script in her hand, her eyes scanning the lines she had memorized countless times. The weight of anticipation hung in the air as she prepared to bring her character to life.

Her sweater, a cozy reminder of home, draped over her arm, providing a sense of comfort amidst the chaos of the bustling set. Walking alongside her was her trusty bodyguard, a pillar of strength and protection.

She smiled at him, grateful for his unwavering presence, before turning her attention back to the paper in her hand. With a quick glance, she put the script away, her mind now fully focused on the task at hand.

Making her way to the set, Selena felt a surge of excitement and nerves intertwine within her. The set was a whirlwind of activity, with crew members scurrying around, adjusting lights and props, and the hum of conversations filling the air.

But amidst the chaos, Selena found solace in the familiar faces of her co-stars and the camaraderie they shared. As the director called for action, Selena stepped into her character's shoes, immersing herself in the scene.

With each line delivered, she effortlessly embodied the emotions and nuances of her character, her performance flowing seamlessly from start to finish. The chemistry between her and her co-star, Timothee, was palpable, their connection evident in every interaction.

When Timothee gave her a thumbs up, a surge of pride washed over Selena. The validation from her co-star, someone she respected and admired, meant the world to her. She beamed with joy, her smile radiating the satisfaction of a job well done, and returned the gesture, silently acknowledging their shared accomplishment.

As the cameras stopped rolling and moved to another area, Selena caught Timothee's eye, their gazes locking for a brief moment. In that exchange, they shared an unspoken understanding, a mutual appreciation for the art they had just created together. A small smile played on Selena's lips, a silent acknowledgment of the connection they had forged through their craft.

With the scene complete, Selena made her way to her trailer, her steps filled with a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. She grabbed her bag, a symbol of her transient lifestyle, and left the set behind, ready to embrace the next adventure that awaited her.

As she walked away, she couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfillment, knowing that she had poured her heart and soul into it. She went to her trailer and left the set.

Selena decided to have a delightful meal with her friends. As she sat at the table, she couldn't help but think of calling Eugenia and try to work on things.

However, when she reached for her phone, disappointment struck as her girlfriend didn't answer and left no message. Frustration crept in, causing her to nervously chew on her lip.

With a sigh, she reluctantly placed her phone back down and focused on finishing her meal. After bidding farewell to her friends, Selena made her way back to her cozy apartment.

Wanting to unwind before bed, she curled up with a captivating book, allowing the words to transport her to another world. Eventually, she drifted off to sleep, hoping for a better tomorrow.

The next day, she arrived on set and quickly grabbed a jacket before heading out. As she walked, she greeted the crew with a friendly wave and a smile.

Making her way to her trailer, she set her belongings down on the couch and closed the door shut behind her. Feeling a sense of frustration about her relationship with he girlfriend, shook her head and took a deep breath.

Returning to the set, she prepared for the scene by grabbing a jacket that was needed. As she got into the car for the scene, she shared a scene with her co-star Timothee.

They continued shooting the scene, moving to different areas of the city. Along the way, she spotted some fans and happily took pictures with them.

Observing Woody giving instructions, she nodded her head in understanding and followed his guidance. Finally, the director smiled getting peoples attention.

"That's a wrap for the day," Woody announced, signaling the end of filming.

"Have a good day everyone," She said, bidding farewell to the crew.

Heading back to her trailer, she sat down on the couch and smiled softly. Suddenly, her cell phone rang from inside her purse and answered her phone placing it to her ear.

"Hello?" She greeted, her voice filled with warmth.

"Hi there Selena," The person on the other end greeted her.

Recognizing the familiar voice, her face lit up with a slight smile on her face. She shifted the phone to rest on her shoulder and continued the conversation.

"Hey I'm so glad you called. I wanted to talk to you.." She said.
