THIRTY. again.

Selena inhaled deeply, gathering her courage. Stepping out of the vehicle, she started to walk down the sidewalk.

She strolled into the street, clutching her bag tightly. Her gaze fixated on the pavement below.

She stepped into the building and settled herself onto a chair. Running her fingers through her hair, she took a deep breath.

Entering the room, she gracefully lowered herself onto the couch. She crossed one leg over the other.

"How are you feeling today, Selena?" Her therapist asked.

"I'm feeling fine," She confidently replied.

"I heard some news about you," He mentioned.

"About what exactly?" She asked.

"You made a significant leap with your boyfriend," He said.

"I did," She responded with a grin.

"Where's the ring? I don't see it on your hand now," He questioned.

"It's getting fitted," She explained.

"Why don't we transition to something else," He suggested.

"Alright then," She whispered.

"Have you had any panic or anxiety attacks lately?" He asked.

"Not as much as when I was touring," She answered.

"That's good. Are you taking the medication you've been prescribed?" He inquired.

"Yes, twice every seven hours," She confirmed.

"That's very good," He noted, jotting it down on his notepad.

"I think I am getting a little better every single day," She expressed.

"That is very good. You seem relaxed and calm at this moment," He observed.

"I am doing what I love," She stated.

"I'm glad," He responded.

"So, what else?" She asked.

He smiled, concluding the session after an hour. Returning the smile, she stood up and left the building, heading towards the waiting car.

She arrived at her apartment and changed her attire. Exiting the building, she made her way to the car.

She strolled out onto the pavement, making her way towards the apartment to freshen up. She left the apartment.

She strolled along the street, clutching her bag tightly. Her gaze fixated on the pavement beneath her feet.

She grinned as a fan approached her, and she happily posed for a photo with her and Dakota Johnston. She sat down at the front, a smile on her face, crossing her legs and gently rolling her neck as she watched the film.

Her gaze remained fixed on the screen, occasionally shifting in her seat. Afterwards, she returned to her apartment and slept.

The next day, she stepped out of the building, holding her laptop and purse in her arms. Selena ran her hand through her hair.

As fans gathered around, she gracefully slipped into the waiting car. She leaned back against the seat, putting her earbuds into her ears.

A bright smile spread across her features as she looked out the window. However, nerves got the better of her and she chewed her lip.

Upon arriving at the airport, she got out of the car with her things and went through security to board the plane. While on the plane, she received a call from Abel.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey, I just tried talking to my team about our relationship. They wouldn't let me get out of it. I'm so sorry," He said.

"It's fine, but thank you for trying anyways. I'll see you soon then," She replied.

"You're welcome. See you soon, babe," he said.

She put her phone away and sighed. She knew that management wouldn't let her out of the deal.

Upon arriving at the hotel, she got dressed and walked out, being greeted by The Weeknd. She held onto his arm as they walked, with a few security guards ensuring their safety.

As she entered the store, she swiftly withdrew her arm from his after a few minutes. Her gaze fixated on the ring adorning her finger.

With a quick glance around, she discreetly removed the ring. Placing it carefully inside her bag, she closed it with a sense of secrecy.

A soft hum escaped her lips as she admired the various items in the store. Her smile widened, radiating pure delight.

Engrossed in browsing through the items before her and took her time exploring. She didn't make any purchases.

Exiting the store, she linked her arm with his, walking side by side. He focused on the path ahead and smiled.

After exploring the city for some more time, the pair returned to their hotel room to retire for the night. The following day, she made her way to the airport and boarded a flight back to New York and had spend time with friends.

Upon arriving at her apartment, she slipped the ring back onto her finger and settled into the car. As she walked through the doorway, she couldn't help but smile with contentment.

As Eugenia sat reading her book, she suddenly looked up and saw Selena standing in the doorway, a smile playing on her lips. With open arms, Selena walked towards Eugenia, resting her head against her shoulder.

A smile spread across Selena's face as she held Eugenia close. They both sat up on the bed, and Selena opened her mouth to speak.

"I might have told a few people about our engagement," Selena admitted sheepishly.

Curious, Eugenia asked, "Who exactly did you tell?"

"Priscilla, Jay, who is Priscilla's fiancé, and my mom," Selena answered.

"That's fine." Eugenia reassured.

"I was thinking maybe we shouldn't announce it." She mumbled.

"I know. Let's announce it when you're ready." She replied.

"I mean, I can't announce it." Selena whispered.

Eugenia stared at her, her expression turning into a frown as she comprehended the situation. She sighed.

"You're unbelievable right now," Eugenia said, disbelief evident in her voice.

Silent, Selena sat on the bed, turning her head to the side and shrugging. Eugenia stood up and turned to face Selena.

"I should probably get going now," Eugenia added.

"I think it's a good idea to keep our engagement private," Selena defended.

"You go do whatever you want to do. I'm just going to let you know that I'm so done with this," Eugenia said, grabbing her purse and heading towards the door.

"You can't leave," Selena pleaded, grabbing Eugenia's arm.

Shaking her head, Eugenia placed her hand at her side. She looked at her.

"I love you so much. I shouldn't be walked all over like this recently," Eugenia admitted.

"I didn't know you felt that way, and I will try to do better. I love you too," Selena said.

Eugenia turned her head to the side as Selena walked closer. She stood in front of her.

"I sometimes wish we had never met," Eugenia whispered.

"What now?" Selena exclaimed.

Without responding, Eugenia walked out of the bedroom. The singer stood frozen on the spot as the front door slammed shut.

She stood there, her hands resting by her sides, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over her. With a heavy sigh, made her way towards the living room.

Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, racing at a million miles per hour. She couldn't make sense of what she had just said to her.

Taking a seat on the couch, she took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away.

"I sometimes wish we had never met,"

Leaving the living room behind, she walked back towards the bedroom. Stepping inside, she closed the door behind her and climbed into bed, closing her eyes in an attempt to find solace in sleep.

-Time passes.-

Selena emerged from the building, a smile gracing her lips as she entered the car and watched as the door closed after she went to film. She was filled with anticipation.

She was on her way to a museum to see some art with a friend, who happened to be a talented street artist. Glancing at her engagement ring, she couldn't help but smile widely.

She had discussed the recent events over a phone call, and they had agreed to meet in a few days to work things out. The mixture of happiness and nervousness filled her heart as she looked forward to seeing her.

As soon as the car came to a halt, she stepped out going inside and greeted him with a warm smile. Ashley had just finished spray painting and signed her name at the top.

After climbing down the ladder, she walked over to him. He returned her grin and looked around the museum.

She ran her fingers through her hair and crossed her arms over her chest, thinking about the upcoming days after filming. After admiring the art, she hugged him and left for the car.

Later, she arrived at her apartment and went straight to bed. The next morning, she got up and groaned, stretching her neck before heading to the closet.

She picked out a dress and headed to a building across town, holding her bag in her hand.  She had a meeting with her management, but despite her efforts, she couldn't get out of the deal.

Frustrated, she stormed out of the room and returned to her apartment, sitting on the couch. She decided to go out on the weekend and messaged one of her costars to meet up, and they agreed.

-Next day.-

As she strolled down the street and made her way towards the port, she caught sight of the magnificent yacht resting at the dock. Without hesitation, she stepped on board.

With a stylish hat adorning her head, she flashed a warm smile at the camera. As the picture was captured, she noticed the sudden burst of light.

A soft grin spread across her face as she glanced at the photograph, capturing the memories of all those present. She looked at the picture.

Standing at the edge, she gazed out at the breathtaking view. Embracing herself, she leaned back, savoring the moment.

Lost in her thoughts, she couldn't help but reflect on her own life. Grateful and blessed, she found a seat and settled down.

-next day.-

As she made her way down the black carpet of the event, she caught sight of her makeup artist and joyfully embraced him. He returned the hug with a smile, and she held him tightly before pulling away to admire her friend's bright smile on his face.

After posing for a few pictures, continued on to conduct interviews with the press before finally making her way inside. As she settled into her seat, she couldn't help but smile as someone snapped a photo of her with her eyes closed.

After presenting an award to Hung, she eagerly delivered a speech in his honor, praising his exceptional talent and unwavering dedication to his craft. The audience erupted in thunderous applause, acknowledging his remarkable achievements and the impact he had made in the industry.

As she stepped down from the stage, a sense of fulfillment washed over her, knowing that she had played a small part in recognizing his brilliance. Later that night, she retired to her cozy apartment, seeking solace and rest after a long and eventful day.

The weight of the evening's events lingered in her mind, making it difficult for her to find tranquility. Tossing and turning in her bed, she couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something was amiss.

The next morning, the sun had barely risen when she jolted awake, her mind racing with urgency. She had an important meeting at the management office, a meeting that could potentially shape the future of her career.

Without a moment's hesitation, she sprang out of bed, hastily getting ready for the day ahead. With a sense of purpose, burst into the room where the head of the record company was waiting, caught off guard by her sudden entrance.

"I have something important to say. I can no longer proceed with the deal." She said.
