"Why did you cheat with your ex-wife?" He asked, his voice filled with a mix of hurt and confusion.

Putting his cell phone away, he noticed her nervousness as she rubbed the back of her neck, preparing herself for this difficult conversation. With a deep breath, opened her mouth.

"I didn't want to cheat, David. It just kind of happened," She admitted, her words tinged with regret.

"You're lying to me," He whispered, his voice barely audible.

"I'm sorry I hurt you, but I still love her. Nobody can change how I feel about her," She stated, her voice filled with a mix of guilt and longing.

"I saw the way you look at her, the same way you used to look at me. I know you still love her," He said, his voice heavy with sadness as he let out a sigh.

"I tried to move on, but I couldn't do it. I didn't want to hurt you, but I ended up doing it anyway," Selena confessed, her voice filled with remorse.

"I thought I was the one for you. I guess I was mistaken about that," David said, his voice filled with disappointment.

"I'm so sorry," She said, her voice filled with genuine remorse.

"It's fine. I kind of figured it wasn't going to last," He said, his tone resigned.

"I hope you can forgive me," She whispered, her voice barely audible.

"I need time to adjust to this," He said, running a hand through his hair as he tried to process everything.

"I completely understand if you need time to cool off," Selena said, her voice filled with understanding.

As he rose from the couch, he the urge to visit his brother. Without wasting any time, he headed outside and hopped into his car as Selena took a deep breath and reached into her pocket pulling out a beautiful ring from Eugenia.

She playfully twirled the object around her fingers, her head swaying in rhythm. Selena found herself caught in a moment of contemplation, unsure whether to slip it back onto her finger or not but after all, it was a memento from her ex-wife, Eugenia.

In the midst of uncertainty, she found herself unable to make a decision. She carefully placed her wedding ring inside her purse, closing it tightly.

As she lifted her head, the sound of approaching footsteps caught her attention. Her eyes met the familiar figure standing by the living room door - her manager, Aleen.

Disappointment etched on Aleen's face, she took a seat beside her on the couch. She spoke with concern.

"I can't believe you're going back after your divorce. It's not wise to be seen as a cheater right now, sweetie," Aleen expressed, shaking her head.

"I can make my own choices when it comes to my personal life. I needed to see her, okay?" Selena replied.

"I'm just trying to ensure you become the best artist you can be." Aleen insisted.

"I appreciate that, but I'll handle my personal matters on my own," Selena assured her.

"I hope so," Aleen responded, her concern lingering.

"I'll see you at rehearsals." Selena declared.

Aleen flashed a faint smile before making her way to the car outside. She got into her car.

Selena's fingers absentmindedly ran through her scalp as she stood up from the couch and walked into the bedroom. Leaning against the wall, she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, noticing the exhaustion evident in the bags under her eyes.

She sat down on the bed, her thoughts drifting back to her past relationship. The desire to reconcile tugged at her heart, but uncertainty loomed over the possibility of a lasting reunion.

As she scrolled through her phone, Selena stumbled upon pictures of her wedding day with Eugenia. A smile graced her face as she reminisced about the moments captured - their joyful cuddles and radiant smiles.

Standing up from the cozy bed, Selena tucked her cell phone away and made her way to the inviting kitchen with a sigh. With a determined spirit, she began preparing a delicious meal for herself.

After carefully placing the food on a plate, Selena sat down and eagerly started to eat, savoring each bite while quenching her thirst with refreshing water. As she finished her meal, she gracefully made her way to the cozy living room, ready to indulge in some well-deserved television time.

With a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, Selena reached into her purse and pulled out a jar of pickles, a delightful snack to accompany her TV viewing. Opening the jar, she plucked one pickle and savored its tangy flavor, a smile dancing across her lips.

Just as she was about to put the pickles away, her phone suddenly rang, interrupting the peaceful atmosphere. Swiftly answering the call, she brought the phone to her ear, her curiosity piqued.

"Hello?" She whispered, her voice filled with anticipation.

"Hey Selena," Her assistant and roommate Ashley greeted.

"What's up, Ash?" Selena asked, her voice filled with warmth.

"Management wants a meeting at headquarters right now," Ashley informed her.

"I'll be there in a few," Selena assured, her determination shining through.

"See you there," Ashley replied before hanging up, prompting Selena to put her phone away.

With a purposeful stride, Selena's hands found their way to her pockets, retrieving her keys. She securely stowed away her phone and headed towards her car and drove to the biking.

Selena entered the car, driving on the road and stopped the car to get out and head inside. She walked into a room and closed the door behind her as her management team looked at her.

"What's happening?" She asked, sitting down on a chair.

"We are aware of what happened between David and you. We don't want a repeat of that," Her agent Tom said.

"It's my decision, and all of you work for me. I can fire everyone in this room right now if I wanted to," She warned.

"We have your best interest as an artist at this moment," He said.

"This is not about my career, it's about my personal life. I kindly ask you to stay out of my business," She said.

"I'm not sure if we can do that, Selena," Ashley said.

"You should be on my side about this, Ashley. You know how much of a wreck I was after the divorce. How hard I tried to be strong for my fans. I kept this hidden for the sake of my career and fans," She said.

"We appreciate that. We need you to stay with David until this is resolved," Tom said.

Selena didn't reply, she sighed. She couldn't believe she was being forced into a fake relationship.

Ashley placed a hand on her thigh and gave it a squeeze. Selena forced a smile as she stood up from the chair.

"I will do it," She said through clenched teeth.

"Good. We'll be in touch," Tom said, waving her off.

She reminded herself not to retaliate and left the room, shutting the door. She rolled her eyes as going to her car with Ashley.

She embarked on a thrilling adventure, driving to the luxurious apartment and eagerly stepping inside. With excitement bubbling in her veins, she swiftly packed a stylish suitcase, carefully selecting the trendiest outfits for Paris Fashion Week.

Unable to contain her enthusiasm, she captured a captivating moment and shared it with her followers on Instagram. She left them in awe of her glamorous journey.

With a radiant smile, Selena gracefully prepared her belongings, eagerly anticipating her next adventure. Making her way to the airport, effortlessly brushed off the relentless inquiries from the paparazzi, choosing to focus on the present moment and engaged in a lively conversation with her trusted bodyguard, she patiently awaited her turn to board, cherishing the company and the excitement that filled the air.

Accompanied by Raquelle and her trusty bodyguard, Selena made her way to the airplane. Once on board, she took a seat and gazed out the window, lost in thought.

As the plane began to take off, she decided to take a nap and let her mind wander to her complicated life. Thoughts of her relationships with family and friends filled her mind, and she needed to talk to Eugenia about her management's decision to keep her relationship with David going for the time being.

A small smile played on her lips as she looked out the window once more. Running a hand through her hair, she let out a breath and shook her head as she glanced at her phone and with a deep sigh, closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Several hours later, Selena woke up as the plane landed in a French airport. She grabbed her purse and headed to her hotel, leaning her head against the seat with a smile on her face.

After greeting fans, she settled into her room and headed out for lunch. After a satisfying meal, returned to her room ready to take on whatever the rest of the day had in store for her.

As she stepped into the room, she gracefully made her way towards the bed, ready to embark on a new adventure. The anticipation of fashion week approaching filled her mind, urging her to prepare for the glamorous event.

While her gaze wandered around the room, it suddenly landed on her purse. Curiosity sparked within her, compelling her to retrieve a precious ring from its depths and held it delicately in her hand, examined its intricate details, lost in a moment of reflection.

Running her fingers through her hair, she rose from the bed, determined to get dressed for the occasion. As she stood before the mirror, her eyes caught a glimpse of her wedding ring, prompting her to secure it safely back in her purse.

With her attire carefully chosen, she was now ready to join her friends for a delightful dinner. Leaving the comfort of the hotel, she gracefully acknowledged the adoring fans who eagerly awaited her presence, gracefully making her way towards the restaurant.

After finishing a delightful meal with her friends, she found herself back at the hotel. Making her way up to her room in the elevator, she suddenly found herself in a sticky situation as the elevator became jam-packed with people.

Panic started to set in as she realized they were stuck. In the midst of the chaos, Selena decided to capture the moment on video, cheering loudly whenever someone attempted to rescue them from their predicament.

Finally, they were freed from the elevator, and she made her way to her hotel room, feeling a mix of relief and exhaustion. Changing into more comfortable clothes, she climbed into bed, hoping to catch a quick nap.

Just as she was about to drift off to sleep, her phone rang, jolting her awake. Annoyed, answered the call, groaning as she opened her mouth to speak.

"Hello?" She answered, her curiosity piqued.

"Hey, it's me," Eugenia's voice came through the phone.

Selena's breath hitched at the sound of her voice. She let out a sigh.

"I can't talk right now," She said, her tone regretful.

"I want to talk about the kiss we shared earlier," Eugenia insisted.

"I'm sorry, but I can't see you again," Selena replied, her voice filled with determination.

"What? Why?" Eugenia questioned, clearly confused.

"It's a career move," Selena explained.

"Then explain it to me," Eugenia pleaded.

"I could tell you about it when I get back to town instead," Selena suggested.

"I will fly out as soon as possible so we can talk," Eugenia offered.

"Please don't talk to me anymore," Selena pleaded, her voice filled with sadness.

"Please, I need to see you," Eugenia whispered desperately.

"No, don't come here," Selena begged, hoping to dissuade her.

"I'm going there to see you," Eugenia declared before abruptly ending the call.

Selena sighed and put her cell phone away. She was interrupted by Courtney entering the room and closing the door behind her.

"Who were you talking to?" Courtney asked, her tone filled with suspicion.

"You won't like the answer," Selena replied honestly.

"Don't tell me it was her calling," Courtney said, her voice tinged with annoyance.

"I couldn't answer her," Selena mumbled to herself, her voice barely audible.

The weight of her friend's words hung heavy in the air, echoing the countless times Raquelle had warned her about the toxicity of her relationship. Selena knew deep down that she needed to sever ties, but the grip of her influence was intense.

"I've told you she's no good for you so many times," She reiterated, her concern etched across her face.

The words were like a broken record, playing on repeat in Selena's mind. She sighed.

"Maybe you just need to stop talking to her altogether." She added.

"I could if I knew how to." She replied.

It was a battle she fought within herself, torn between the love she once felt and the reality of the situation. As the weight of the conversation settled, Courtney made a vow, determination etched in her eyes.

"I'm going to make sure you don't talk to her during this trip," She declared, her voice unwavering.

"You don't need to do that for me," She insisted, her voice tinged with guilt.

As Courtney slipped out of the bedroom, Selena found herself alone, her thoughts swirling like a tempest. She bit her lip, her gaze fixated on the ring adorning her finger.

It served as a constant reminder of the battles she faced within herself. With a heavy sigh contemplated removing it.

Lost in her thoughts, Selena ran a hand through her hair, the exhaustion evident in her weary eyes. She succumbed to the weariness, laying down on the bed, her body craving respite.

"Oh great, another sleepless night awaits." She thought.
