Jamie's POV

"Jamie, we need to tell you something," Elsa said.

"I do too," Jack added.

I lifted my head, teary-eyed, my face red from crying so much, and a confused look on my face.

"What?" I asked.

"We know the men that were in your nightmare," Elsa admitted.

"Before you came to live with us, my now ex-fiancé, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, only wanted to marry me to get to the throne because he was 13th in line for the crown in his kingdom. After that, he wanted to kill Elsa then get rid of me so that it would look like he saved Arendelle and be the king. We took care of him but he could come back," Anna explained.

As I heard the story, I felt distraught. So apparently these men weren't just in my nightmare, they're real people. When I saw Jack, he looked a little confused himself. I didn't know why.

"So that explains Hans. But what about the guy named Pitch?" I asked.

That got Jack's attention.

"Oh. Well, before I became a guardian, Pitch, the Boogeyman, was trying to scare the children to the point they wouldn't believe in the others. They'd believe he was real but not the actual guardians. I don't know what he's doing back, but I promise you that Pitch won't come near you. And neither will Hans," Jack assured me.

"Yeah. They'll have to get through us," Elsa said as she put her arms around Anna and Jack.

"Thank you guys so much," I said.

I got out of bed and hugged all three of them. Then Anna and Elsa left the room and Jack and I were alone.

"So can I ask you a question?" Jack asked.

"Yes. Of course," I replied.

We both sat on my bed.

"What did Anna mean by 'before you came to live with us'? Aren't you guys related by blood?" he asked me.

"Oh. Actually no. It's kind of a long and sad story," I said, rubbing my shoulder nervously.

"I'd like to hear it," Jack urged.

"Okay. It all started when I was five. I lived in the United States. My real parents loved me unconditionally. Then I found out about my powers and I have four: ice powers, shapeshifting, flight, and making things appear and disappear. Even though I was really young, I hid them from my parents. Six years later, they got me so angry that my powers came out all at once. They were shocked and threw me out of the house. I flew around until I found an orphanage in Arendelle. I stayed there for seven years. Then Elsa and Anna came to visit and saw me practicing my powers and they immediately saw potential in me. They adopted me and raised me more as a sister than a daughter. Everything got better after they adopted me. Elsa taught me how to control my ice powers and I taught myself to control the other three. And I've lived here ever since," I explained.

I saw Jack's eyes went wide. He then wrapped his arms around me in a huge hug. I was confused but I hugged back.

"I'm sorry," Jack whispered.

"It's okay," I said.

As we parted, we looked into each other's eyes. I wanted to kiss him so bad, but I didn't want to ruin anything between us because I was afraid he didn't feel the same way.

"Um, I should, um, get back to bed,"I stammered.

"Yeah. I've, um, got to keep, uh, flying around. I'll see you tomorrow," he stuttered.

Then without thinking, he kissed my forehead then flew out the window. I was smiling when I went to sleep. This time, I had an amazing dream. I was dreaming about being with Jack forever.
