Wait, don't say it, let me try my hand at it first, "Who are you and what in the world are you talking about?!"

Well, going to the second question, I'm talking about acting; one of the many gears in the beautiful, chaotic, sometimes painful process of making movies and shows. And though I'm not one of the Emma Stones, Viola Davises, or Scarlett Johanssons of the world, after almost eight years of acting, I know a fair bit.

Yeah, yeah, don't worry, I'm getting back to the first question. Lesson #1 for acting and everything else in life; patience is key.

I'm Alaina Estelle Gillespie, but for right now, you can call me Lainie or Stells. All of my friends do.

Where was I? Oh, right, gears. Just like with any other creative process, making a movie or show has lots of elements, otherwise known as gears. Lighting, music, actors & actresses, sets, costumes, makeup, and all of that lovely jazz.

However, contrary to popular belief, there's more to it than that. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that only those involved in the given production see. The sweet, the bad, and the gray area.

If you think you're ready, I encourage you to read on. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows, but it is my life. So, in my biased opinion, I'd say it's worthwhile.
