chapter 4
I stand in an empty field, accompanied by Aizawa who is taking countless notes on everything from my stance to my attitude. Today is the day that I get tested for my quirk, and I can't help but fidget a little from the excitement. I mean, I have a POWER.
I awkwardly flex my fists as he walks toward me, a pill in hand.
"Eat this. It will forcibly activate your quirk," he drones, clearly uninterested.
I briskly take it from his outstretched palm and bring it up to my lips. Tilting my head back, I let it into my mouth and swallow. Immediately after, I gain a strange feeling In my throat. It is an undeniable need to speak, to project my feelings. I let a sad monotone flow from my lungs and out into the air. It is almost like music, but not quite. The sound is sorrowful and deep and a bit angry. Looking around, I see that Aizawa has tears streaming down his face and a pained expression. Sadly, before I can really grasp it, the voice fades back into me like a snail goes into its shell.
"So that was my quirk..." I mumble in awe.
The living Caterpillar was busy writing. "I think your quirk is some sort of emotional manipulation type of thing. Try activating it again, but this time, hold it back a bit. Harness some good emotions," he grumbles.
I focus on the more sweet memories that I have, because that's how you activate your power in the animes, and sure enough, it comes back. A high note fills the air with ringing tones, almost like jingling bells.
Aizawa has a rare smile on his face and a far away look in his eyes, lost in memory.
Deciding I want to show off a bit, I start singing.
She sings this but in a female voice
I finish, panting and with a bit of a sore throat.
"How do you feel? Do you have any drawbacks?" He asks.
"My throat is a bit scratchy," I rasp.
He jots that down in his growing collection of notes. "You can go home now. I think I got what I needed."
I cringe. "Actually, um, I don't actually know where my home IS right now."
Timeskip brought to you by deku finding out he has more bones to break
I stand in front of a surprisingly fancy looking apartment complex. It is smallish, but you can tell that only the rich could afford the place. It stands tall and gives off a slightly rustic aura, with the vintage wooden doors that lead inside and forest colored walls. It kind of reminds me of the forests near home. I step forward and let myself inside.
After a while of searching for my room number, I see it: Apartment number 666. I snicker a bit, before entering the code for the keypad to enter. There is a tiny flash of green light followed by a beeping noise, signifying that it has been unlocked. Pushing it open, I gasp at the sight in front of me.
I sink to my knees in shock and awe. This is the type of place that I could never afford, one only ever meant to be seen in my dreams. I knew Yuuei had a lot of money, but this is way over the top! They could have just gotten me a three room apartment and I would have been fine, but this is like a fantasy. Out of nowhere, a wave of exhaustion hits me, like a 50 ton weight has just dropped down onto my shoulders. I decide to find the bedroom. When I find it, what I see is just as incredible as what is in the living area.
The entire area seems to radiate light and soft energy. I stare at the beautiful sight before me for approximately 3 seconds before flopping onto the bed and falling into sweet unconsciousness.
Authors note: yes, I know that it's awful. I have major writers block and I nEEd IdEAs. If anyone has any ideas for the next chapter, any at ALL, I'd love to hear them. Bye, my lovelies!
