Veronica came and saw me earlier this morning. "My baby sister going through furthest in space." She hugged me and said. "I couldn't be more proud."

Veronica was currently out getting us breakfast. While I made my way to the Garrison campus. I stand out due to the fact I'm not in uniform.

Im wearing jeans and a flannel. As I walk the halls people point and whisper about me. They know my name. They know that tomorrow I leave for Kerberos. I continue to  scan the halls for my brother.

I hear someone call my name. I turn around. "Amber hey." Its Keith.

"Hey lunch buddy." I smile when I say that name. People began to walk by and point. So we walk into an Empty classroom. "Whats up?"

Keith smiled. "One." He held up one finger. "I hate that nickname. Two." He held up another finger. "You know what's up." He dropped his hand down to his side. "You leave soon."

I smiled looking up to meet his eyes,  "Is the great fighter Pilot Keith Kogane gonna miss me."

"Shut up." Keith said playfully.

"Aw you're gonna miss me." I smile and sit on an empty table.

"I assume your busy today?" Keith looked at me like he wanted to ask me a question.

"Yeah." I nod my head crossing my arms. knowing Veronica was sure to be in her way back to my room and that's why she wanted me to get Lance, "But I'm willing to do anything for my lunch buddy."

Keith let out a little laugh. "Nah I just wanted to wish you luck. And yes I'm gonna miss you."

I smiled getting off the table. I wrapped my arms around Keith's waist. "Im gonna miss you too." I felt him return the hug. 

After that we both went our separate ways and I went back to scanning the halls for Lance. I quickly walked up to Lance and Hunks room and knock on the door. A few seconds later the door opened and there Hunk stood.

No words are needes he just opens the door and lets me walk in. I see the bathroom door locked. I walk up and knock.

"What!" Is Lances loud reply.

"Ronnie went out to get us breakfast." I walk away from the door and look at the time 6:15 I know lance has been up sense 5:45 because he has a half hour morning routine and i know hes almost down. So I plop down om the couch next to Hunk.

"Im gonna miss you Amber." Hunk says as hell wraps me in a hug.

I returned the hug, "Im gonna miss you too. But then I think about where I'm going and how big this is. And that makes a bit of the loneliness fade away." Hunk doesn't let up on the hug and I feel tears in my eyes. 

"Im gonna miss your singing while you help me clean the room." I listen to Hunk sob.

I pull away from the hug and reach into my purse and pull out a flash drive. "I made some recordings of me singing." I place the flash drive in the palm of Hunks hand. "And I'm gonna miss seaking into the commissary to get us food late at night." I reach across the coffee table and hand Hunk a tissue, "Here." I watch as he blows his nose and dabs at the tears in my eyes. "You're gonna be there in the morning to see me off right?"

Hunk sets down the balled up tissue, "yeah of course I'm gonna be there." The bathroom door unlocked. Me and Hunk hug again.

When he pulls apart from the hug I stand up. "Your morning routine took longer than usual."

Lance walks over to me, "You said Ronnie had food?" He smiles running a hand through his hair, "I wanted to look good." Me and Hunk let out a fit of laughter.

"Come on big brother." I grab Lance's arm as we walk out of the room, "We have food to get to." I turn around to close the door, "Bye Hunk. See you in the morning."

I heard a quiet 'goodbye' and I closed the door.

"The plan, is..." I do a fake drumroll with my fingers, "Eat breakfast, I shower and get ready while you and Veronica finish packing up my stuff and walk down to the air field."

"Ok but its real early -" Lance begins.

"So we can eat for a real ly long time." I say. As I lean into lance as we walk out of the school and into the compound.

I walk in my room with lance right behind me. In my bed is Veronica with a box if donuts. One cup of coffee in her hands two on my desk. I grab one cup then I sit in the bed with Veronica while lance sits in my desk chair, he crosses his legs and props his feet up on the corner of my bed.

"Got our bags packed for tommorow?" Ronnie asks me as I reach uder the lid of the box and pull out a Boston creme donut.

"Yeah." I say

"Don't worry about boxing up your stuff here. We got it covered."

"Thanks." I hand Lance a strawberry jam filled doughnut. Lance licks his lips and gladly takes the doughnut.

I stare down at my doughnut. I take a bite. And it hits me tomorrow I'm leaving to go to the moon of Pluto. "Im really gonna miss you guys." I look over at Veronica to see her avoiding eye contact her eyes are closed. "Vee." I whisper. I glance at lance who now has his chair turned away from me. "Lance a lot." My hand goes to cover my mouth as I let a sob escape my lips. My body leaves in the bed over the donut box.

In a few seconds Lance is turned around and has his arms wrapped around my body. Hes crying too. Veronica leans forward and wraps her arms around the both of us. All three of us crying like babies waiting to be fed.

We all spent the day together, the  three of us. Doing what siblings do, eating donuts and watching old movies.

The next day we all met at the launching pad, Hunk came earlier to my room and we said goodbye. He had classes but we talked for a good hour. The best hour, a very tearful filled hour. But it's Hunk he like a big brother to me he even cooked me brefast today. Bacon pancakes , man im really gonna miss him.

My mom, Lance, Veronica and Luis all meet me on the launch pad. We take a grouo photo i dont bothet aslin were Marco is. He didnt want me here at all so thae fact that im really going on the trip is getting to him.

"I dont like goodbyes." My mother says tearfully. "Please dont say it."

"Mom you know me." I say holding her hands trying my best not to cry. "You know i have to"

My mom hugged me tighter than ever before. She began her walk to the desinated area. Verionca was next. "Im really gonna miss you." She doesnt cry we did that yesterday

Luis hugs me then walkes away.

"Lance." I say, putting a hand on his cheek.

His head is down and i know he is crying. "Lance-" My mouth is agape. "I wrote you a letter." I pull it out of my orange and white Galaxy Garison uniform, "Read it when you miss me the most."

Lance wipes his tears and takes the white envolope. Lance wraps his arms around my waist and i wrap my arms around his shoulders. "I love you amie"

"I love you too Lancealot."

Thoes were the last words i said to my brother before i set sail for Kerbros.

Now im counting stars.
