Shy

~ The Next Day ~

Casually walking into Jimin's office with a cup of Americano in one hand, I widened my eyes at what I saw.

I saw Jimin holding up a cushion, eagerly aiming it directly at Jin.

Jin was on the floor with his arms over his head as he cowered in fear.

The two of them noticed me standing there completely speechless, since I was still trying to process what hell was going on.

"Yeona!!" Jin shouted in relief as he hurriedly ran over to me, hiding behind me and holding onto both of my shoulders.

"Jiminnie's scaring me!!" He cutely said, as if he was some five year old kid running away from his mom.

"Because you're saying nonsense!!" Jimin protested.

I count help but chuckle at their immaturity.

"Oh gosh, you two are acting like little kids." I said, slowly shaking my head in disbelief.

"Protect me~" Jin said as he wrapped his arms around me, giving me a back hug from behind.

"J-Jin!!" I said as my cheeks flushed from his sudden action.

I barely even knew him and yet he was hugging me.

"Hey get off of her!" Jimin angrily shouted as he tightly clenched his fists.

"Why? Is little Jimminie jealous?" Jin teased as he hugged me even tighter, gently placing his head on my shoulder.

My heart beat was increasing from the way his warm body pressed against mine.

"N-No! You're making her uncomfortable!!" Jimin protested.

"Alright, fine fine." Jin said as he finally let go of me while laughing.

I let out a sigh of relief.

"What're you guys even fighting about?" I curiously asked.

A devious grin immediately forming on Jin's face, he cleared his throat and spoke up.

"Well Yeona, there's a company party coming up, and I was thinking maybe you could be my-"

Suddenly, Jimin vigorously jumped onto Jin's back, hastily covering his mouth.

I cocked my head in confusion as I watched Jin trying to push Jimin off of him.

After he finally got Jimin off, he fixed his outfit and shot a glare at Jimin.

"Alright fine! I won't ask her!" Jin angrily said as he put both of his arms up in surrender.

"What's going on?" I asked, still extremely puzzled.

Jimin walked over to me and cleared his throat.

"Well as Jin was saying, there's going to be a company party tomorrow night, so I need you to be my date." He said as he put his hands in his pocket.

"Huh? Why me?" I asked.

"Because you're the only girl who isn't afraid of me." Jimin said.

"Oh, right." I said, nodding in agreement.

"Well, you don't have much of a choice anyways. You're my assistant so you do as I say." He said as he shrugged his shoulders.

I rolled my eyes.

"You're so bossy I swear."

Jimin scoffed.

"Like I care."

"Just meet me at my house at 7:00 pm tomorrow alright?" He said.

I sighed and folded my arms.

"Whatever."

~ The Next Day ~
5:00 pm

Briefly rummaging through my closet, I eagerly looked for a perfect dress to wear to the party.

Since it was a company party, I decided to just wear a simple black lace dress.

I applied some make up,

And headed over to Jimin's house.

Reaching his front door, I took a deep breathe and rang the door bell.

I was actually anxious about how Jimin would react when he sees me all dressed up.

As the door gradually creeped opened, I stiffened.

Seeing me standing there, Jimin didn't react at all.

He  just intently stared at me with an expressionless look, not uttering a single word.

Urgh, I hated how I could never tell what he was thinking.

I expected him to compliment me or something, but instead, he suddenly let out a rude scoff.

"Why're you dressed like you're going to a funeral?"

I gasped in great offense at his insulting comment.

"EXCUSE ME?!" I furiously yelled, clenching my fists in rage.

Jimin immediately put his index finger on my lips and shushed me.

"Is that how you speak to your boss Yeona?" He asked, giving me a devious smirk.

I rolled my eyes in disbelief.

He was nice at times, but he was a real asshole most of the time.

"Come in." Jimin said as he turned around and entered back into his house.

As I obediently followed behind him, I noticed him suddenly cover his mouth with his right hand.

I raised an eyebrow in confusion, tilting my head a little to see what he was doing.

Although his back was facing me, I could clearly see how his cheeks were extremely red.

I couldn't help but chuckle at his cute reaction.

So I guess he did like my outfit.
