Rude

"Kim Yeona!"

I cowered as I heard my boss furiously yell my name from his office.

I hurriedly stood up from my desk rushed to his office.

I reluctantly opened the door and quickly bowed at him 90 degrees.

"D-Did you call me Mr. Choi?" I anxiously asked.

"Come here." He ordered, slowly shaking his head in disappointment.

Uh oh.

He sounded angry.

I gradually approached him and reached his desk, until Mr. Choi suddenly slammed his hand on his desk, making me flinch in fright.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH MONEY WE'RE LOSING BECAUSE OF YOU?!" He yelled furiously.

"You don't sell any products from our company, all I get are complaints from the customers about you and your terrible service, and you're ruining my company's reputation." He said, rubbing his temples in utter irritation.

"I-I'm so sorry-"

"I don't want to hear it. Yeona, you're fired."

I froze.

"N-No please! This job is all I have! Please don't fire me!" I earnestly begged.

It was true. I was terrible at socializing, selling, or anything dealing with my job. Even though I worked hard, I never seemed to get it.

But this job was all I had, and I couldn't afford to lose it.

Mr. Choi let out a deep sigh.

"I no longer want my reputation to go down because of you. I'm sorry but I don't need you in my company anymore."

I just stood there completely speechless from shock.

With shame and agitation filling up inside of me, I sadly nodded with a distressed expression.

"I-I understand.." I muttered, slowly turning around and walking over to the door.

"Good bye Mr. Choi.."

And with that, I exited his office and left the company.

As I was gloomily walking through the streets with my head hanging low, a flier on a window of a shop caught my eye.

I lazily walked up to it and briefly scanned it, only to realize it was a job flier.

"Looking for a new assistant for Park Enterprise? That sounds pretty easy." I said, feeling my anguish slowly fading away.

I looked at how much the pay was, and gasped in utter astonishment.

"T-Twenty thousand a month?!?!" I yelled in shock.

My face immediately lit up in joy and elation.

"Maybe I can work here!" I excitedly said as I immediately headed to Park Enterprise.

As I reached the colossal building, I gulped at how enormous it was.

"This company must be huge... I wonder why they couldn't just simply find an assistant." I said curiously.

I entered the building and was welcomed by two pretty workers at the counter.

"Hello, how may I help you today?" One of them asked as she gave me a polite smile.

"I saw a flier saying you guys were looking for a new assistant?"

The worker froze as her eyes suddenly grew larger.

"O-Oh, yes. R-Right this way please." She nervously said as she reluctantly lead me to the elevator.

Why does she seem so scared?

As we entered the elevator, she pressed the top floor and the elevator door closed.

The worker suddenly let out a deep sigh.

"We are looking for an assistant who is compatible for our boss.." She said.

"What do you mean by compatible?" I confusedly asked as I raised an eyebrow.

She gulped.

"W-Well, our boss is very... abrupt."

The elevator door opened, indicating we have reached the floor.

Suddenly, a girl came running into the elevator with tears running down her face.

"He's so cruel..." She said as she cried even harder.

I was starting to feel a bit anxious.

Was the boss that despicable?

The worker stepped out of the elevator, leading you to a door.

She took a deep breathe and hesitantly knocked.

"M-Mr. Park? Someone is here to see you." She said as her voice trembled.

"Let her in." A rather husky voice ordered from inside.

His voice didn't sound so mean?

I slowly entered the room, and the worker hurriedly closed the door.

I widely widened my eyes in shock at the person I saw.

There was an astonishingly handsome man in a suit, situated at a big black desk.

How can this attractive man possibly be mean?

As I speechlessly stared at him and admired his  features, he suddenly raised an eyebrow in irritation.

"Are you just gonna stand there and stare at me like an idiot?"

I immediately snapped back to reality.

"I-Im so sorry!" I apologized as I quickly bowed at him.

"Who are you?" He asked in an uninterested tone.

"I-I am Kim Yeona, and I'm here because I heard you were looking for a new assistant."

The guy suddenly let out a scoff.

"I've heard that phrase a million times already. But they always end up running away so you might as well leave already." He said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"N-No please! I would do anything to get this job!" I eagerly begged.

He stayed silent, intently staring at me.

"Fine, I'll give you a chance. But just letting you know, I'm not the nicest boss you'll ever have." He said as he folded his arms.

My face immediately lit up.

"Thank you so much!" I joyously said.

"You will start tomorrow. Be here by 7:00 am or else you're fired. Understood?"

"Yes!" I said, determination filling my eyes.

"Good." He said as he slowly stood up from his seat.

"Well Yeona-ssi, I'm Park Jimin and I will be your new boss starting today." He said, displaying a smug, devilish smirk on his face.

I anxiously gulped at his devious expression.

Why do I feel uneasy about this?

Jimin eyed me from head to toe and furrowed his eyebrows.

"And pull down your fucking skirt. What are you? A slut?"

I gasped.

"EXCUSE-"

"Are you talking back to your boss Yeona?" He asked, cockily raising his eyebrow at my remark.

I furiously clenched my fists, trying my best to hold in the great rage that was boiling up inside of me.

I see it now.

But still, I couldn't dare to lose this job.

"S-Sorry Mr. Park.."
