Different

As the party went on, the orchestra began to play a soothing, romantic song.

The people around us gradually began to get together and slow dance.

I looked at Jimin in utter confusion.

"Are we supposed to dance or something?" I asked.

This was my first time at a fancy company party, so I had no idea what to do.

"Urgh, I always hate this part of parties." Jimin said as he scoffed.

I was just expecting Jimin to be his stubborn self and not dance at all, but he suddenly stood up from his seat.

He stuck out his hand in front of me and put his other hand in his pocket.

I just stared at him as I cocked my head, not knowing what he expected me to do.

"What?" I asked in a puzzled tone.

"Do you want to dance or not?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow at me.

My heart greatly fluttered.

Although his unexpected invitation caused me to feel a bit shy, I eventually nodded in agreement and gently placed my hand on top of his.

As my hand touched his, I noticed Jimin's cheeks instantly redden.

I chuckled.

I guess he was nervous too.

As we walked over to the center of the dancing crowd, Jimin suddenly placed his hand on my waist.

I gasped in surprise as my cheeks flared up.

"W-What are you doing?!"

Jimin laughed.

"Calm down. It's just a part of the dance." He assured.

"S-Sorry.. I don't really know how to slow dance.." I reluctantly muttered.

"Then I'll teach you how."

With that, Jimin gently took both of my hands and placed it on his shoulders.

He firmly placed both of his hands on my waist, pulling me closer towards him to the point our bodies were almost touching.

My heart was beating out of control from how close we were right now.

My face was burning up as we slowly swayed to the rhythm of the calming tune.

I couldn't take my eyes off of his.

Our faces were only an inch apart from each other.

"You're really red Yeona." He said, displaying a playful smirk on his face.

"S-Shut up Jimin.." I shyly muttered as I shifted my gaze away from his.

I widened my eyes in shock, realizing what I had just said.

"S-Sorry! I meant Mr. Park!" I said as I greatly panicked.

Jimin let out a laugh at my reaction.

"Just call me Jimin from now on. I like it when you say my name." He said, softly smiling at me.

Geez, his smile.

My cheeks flared up even more.

I gently laid my head on his chest, attempting to hide my blushing face.

I felt Jimin stiffen up from my sudden action and I could clearly hear his heart beat hastening.

Was he as nervous as I was?

"Y-Yeona." He suddenly said, causing me to look up at him.

"Y-Yes?" I curiously asked.

"To be honest, I think you're the first girl I've ever danced with.." He sheepishly confessed.

I chuckled.

"No wonder why you're so stiff." I teased.

Jimin cutely pouted at my remark, obviously embarrassed at the fact that he couldn't dance.

"I'm just kidding, Jimin." I said as I gently laid my head back onto his chest, feeling a bit shy from calling his first name since I wasn't so used to it.

He slowly placed his head on top of mine, causing my heart to skip a beat and my cheeks to tint.

I've never thought I would ever be this close to Jimin.

I gradually closed my eyes with a warm smile plastered on my face, gently swaying to the soothing music in Jimin's embrace.

~ After the Party ~

Everyone was beginning to leave, and Jimin and I were also getting ready to head home.

Since I really needed to use the restroom, I hastily stood up and faced Jimin.

"Jimin, I'm going to go and use the restroom real quick okay?" I said.

He nodded as he patiently sat down.

I left him and hurriedly rushed over to the restroom.

After I did my business and walked out, I noticed Jungkook standing near a wall while looking down at his phone.

I didn't want anything like earlier to happen, so I attempted to quietly walk away from him before he noticed me.

But I guess he noticed me, because he hurriedly approached me.

"Yeona."

I cowered at his voice.

I reluctantly turned around to face him, faking a crooked smile at him.

"H-Hello Jungkook." I anxiously muttered.

He arrogantly smirked as he walked even closer to me.

I gulped as I slowly backed away.

"Shall we continue what we didn't finish earlier?"

With that, he forcefully grabbed both of my arms and pinned me against the wall.

"I will fucking yell if you don't let go of me." I threatened, trying to hide the fact that I was extremely terrified.

"Ohh fiesty. I like it." Jungkook seductively whispered.

He gradually began to lean into my face, attempting to kiss me on my lips.

I quickly turned away as I shut my eyes in fear.

"S-Stop... please.."

Instead of kissing me on my lips, he began to plant small kisses on my neck.

I clenched my fists in utter disgust.

I wanted to push him off so badly, but my body was too weak and I was quivering in fright.

As if the barrier that was attempting to stay strong had broke, hot tears began to trickle down my cheeks.

"P-Please Jungkook... please stop..." I muttered with the greatest courage I had left inside of me.

I guess he noticed that I was crying, because he slowly let go of me.

"Y-Yeona..." He reluctantly said, displaying a regretful expression on his face.

Suddenly, I felt someone pull me away from Jungkook.

"What the fuck are you doing to Yeona?"

It was Jimin.

He tightly held me in his embrace and protected me, causing me to close my eyes in great relief.

"J-Jimin, its not what you think-"

But as Jungkook attempted to protest, Jimin immediately cut him off.

"Don't ever come near her ever again."

I felt his grip on me tighten even more.

"I-I'm so sorry..." Jungkook apologetically muttered, slowly turning around as he walked away from us.

After making sure he was out of our sight, Jimin let go of me.

"Thank you..." I muttered, looking up at him with great gratitude.

"Ah, that bastard made you cry? I swear to god, I'm gonna kick his ass the next time I see him." He said as he gently cupped my face with his hand and wiped my tears away.

I felt my cheeks gradually getting hot from his gentle touch.

"Jungkook may be a real pervert most of the time, but when it comes to making a girl cry, he becomes a totally different guy." Jimin said.

No wonder why he had such a apologetic look on his face when he saw me crying.

Jimin suddenly wrapped his arms around me, warmly embracing me.

"Just forgive him okay? I'll make sure to protect you from now on." He assured.

I shyly smiled and nodded in response.
