You know some times when you read a book then some big mystery happens and even though the next page is right there you're just still so scared to find out what is going to happen next?

That was Alexis right now.

She was scared. She didn't know what to think. I mean, what are you supposed to think when you see your friend get into a car with dark glass? You'd think so many things all at once.

Alexis stood there still perplexed wondering what was happening. She wanted to run outside and stop Amber; hold her back. But she knew Amber all too well already and knowing Amber, she was a very stubborn person.

So Alexis stood there, a blank expression plastered on her face, as she waited listening to her own breathing.

Even after school Alexis hoped to find Amber with the group of boys who always smoked weed but she wasn't there. There wasn't any sign of her.

What if she was raped? Or kidnapped? Or something bad had happened to her?

So many thoughts...

Amber wasn't in class or at lunch or with Matt and his guys. None. But she knew exactly who she was going to ask to get her answers.

"Matt?" She turned him over by the shoulder.

The smile on his face faded once he made realized that it was Alexis.

He threw up the football in the air and smirked. "Well well well, look who it is? What do you want?"

Alexis sighed, "Have you seen Amber?"

He frowned. "Why are you asking me about her? I don't know okay, she's probably fucking the janitor or something."

He laughed and turned back around. Alexis got even more worried. That's when she saw someone who she suspected would have her answers.
