Alexis started noticing things afterwards. People stared at her, girls wanted to be friends with her (or at least that's what she thought) and guys started to like her and look at her while she walked down the hallway. She felt like a milly worm being watched by hawks.

But she knew it was all for another reason. Not for who she was; but for who they thought she was. They liked her for the person she wasn't, a person who wasn't her. She didn't like the new her. That day when she decided to put herself out there, they all looked at her as the new slut. She didn't like the attention, she never did but this all started happening all because of a stupid party and one stupid stupid mistake.

She was different from the other kids; that she knew. Even when she was little, poeple found her rather weird and never made any effort to speak to to her or at least try to befriend her. She knew why though; Her skin was different. Though people never understood her and never belived her when she told them that her family was those white people. They'd look at her and she always knew what the next question was going to be; is that your real family?

They never understood why out of all of them, she was the black sheep. Literally. She was black. Her dad had married more than once. Or at least didn't really marry though. He had children from other women before meeting her mom. Out of the rest, she was the Black American. The rest of her Her mother was black, and her father was American.

The rest of the family though, we're white. That's why they never had trouble attending new schools. Kids just saw them as normal people, while she struggled with socialising. They looked at her as if she was some disease. Like she was this horrible person that screamed virus everywhere she went just because of her skin color.

Now, she's moved. She thought trying out new stuff wouldn't hurt so bad. Well, she was so definitely wrong, because this awesome beginning that she thought she was going to have; turned out to be her downfall.
