"I did it."
I actually did it.

Kennedy and her friends had left us and now it was finally just us again.

I ran a hand through my hair gasping for air.
I had never stood up for myself. Well, I had but not like that.
I turn to Roni and Ava.
"I did it. I did it!"

I break into a smile and they both engulf me into an embrace.

"We are so so proud of you!"
Ava says pulling back.

"Wow. Well that was a turn of events."

I laughed and hugged them both again.

"Okayyyy so now that that is over....you've gotta read Carter's text!"
Ava said rather excitingly. Roni chuckled and grabbed her drink from the table.

"Oh yeah!"

I opened his texts and skimmed through them.

hey I was wondering if you wanna walk around the park with me later tonight?

I know you probably don't wanna leave your friends so I could bring my friends and we could all hang out together or something

whatever you want really, I dont wanna stress you out or anything if you already had something planned. Anyway lmk :)

I smiled and looked back up at Roni and Ava.
They were looking at me anxiously.

"He wants to hang out."

A squeal escaped Ava's lips and she quickly covered her mouth.

Roni walked over reading the texts over my shoulde.
"Well what are you gonna say?"

"Do you guys want to? I mean if you don't I totally understand. This is our trip after all and I dont wanna mess it up if you guys don't-"

Roni put a hand to my mouth and shook her head.

"We wanna meet them."

I smiled
"Okay then I guess I'm texting him back."

I stood waiting anxiously to see Carter again. I could feel my palms began to sweat.
I let out a breath and wiped my hands on my shorts.

We decided to meet behind the castle next to king arthur's carousel.
It was an open enough area to be able to find each other easily.

"Hey, its not it a big deal." Roni said walking over to my side.
"Everything will be fine. Besides whats the worst that can happen?"

She spoke too soon.

I felt my heart hitch at the sight.
And it wasn't because of Carter.

Cameron

He was with Carter.
It was like a bomb had gone off in my brain. That's why Carter resembled Cameron so much.

The hair
The facial structure
The eyes
Their smile

Oh their smile

His smile

They were brothers.

Was it to late to turn back? Maybe they hadn't seen me yet.

Why did I let Ava and Roni talk her into this.

Well they didn't really talk me into this...they just happily agreed to it.

My eyes met his and I cursed under my breath.
Too late now.
She watched Cameron's lips raise upward into a smirk the second he saw me.

I felt Roni's hands on my arm and my breath hitched.
"What's wrong?" Her voice came out in a whisper.

I wanted to answer.

I wanted to move!

I couldn't move.

I was a statue

It was like all the muscles in my body grew stiff and all I could do was watch him approach me.

"Marley hey!"

That's what did it.

I broke from the trance Cameron had put me under and looked at Carter.

I pressed a smile to my lips.

"Oh hey. I uh- good seeing you again."

Why was i so awkward! I groaned. Luckily in my head so he didn't hear but still.

"These are my friends Kayson and Flynn. And that's my brother Cameron."

The second he brought up Cameron, i felt myself being sucked back into his stupid trance.

Cameron just grinned and nodded.

"Ahh yes, Minnie right? We met this morning."

I let out a nervous laugh. "Its still Marley." My breath came out shakey.

Carter turned to him shocked. "You did? When?"

Cameron shrugged. "I dont know around ten maybe. We happened to bump into each other."

"Literally." I mumbled.

"What was that?" His eyes held my gaze and I felt all my words escape my lips like they had done the first time. "I uhh-"

I felt everyone's eyes on me so I quickly spoke.
"These are my friends, Roni and Ava."
They both smiled and Ava waved.

"Its nice to meet they guys. Marley hasn't shut up about you all day."

My eyes shot to Roni and I elbowed her in the ribs.
She groaned. "Nevermind..." she breathed.

I let out a shakey laugh. "So...what do you guys wanna do?"

Carter chuckled and shrugged. He turned and looked to his friends for ideas before looking back at me.

"Let's hit some rides i guess."
He smiled and gestured forward.

I turned to walk with Roni and Ava but noticed the two of them were already engaged in conversation with Carter and Cameron's brother and friends.

"Great." I said through teeth.

I walked in the back of the group. It was nice watching both Roni and Ava be so invested in conversation these guys.
Strangers really.

I felt myself regretting meeting up with Carter and his friends.

Why was I being so awkward.

Was I the one being awkward?

Or was the situation just awkward?

Did they think this was awkward?

I was so lost in thought I hadn't noticed that Cameron had slow his pace to match mine.

"Having fun yet Minnie?"

"Its Marley...and yes. Are you?"

"This is the happiest place on earth right? Can't go wrong there can ya."

I could hear the sarcasm dripping from each word he spoke and I couldn't help but raise my eyebrows.

"You don't think so? Oh don't tell me you think you're to old for disneyland."

Cameron just chuckled.

"Its not that I think I'm to old for disney...its just not my thing."
He shrugged.
"I'd rather travel the world and see new things than go to a dumb theme park."

My lips pursed together and looked at him.
Did he just call disneyland dumb?

You could tell by the look on his face he was amused with my reaction.

"Disneyland is not dumb. Its magical."

I huffed and ran my fingers though my hair.
I was frustrated and he knew it.

"Its where you come and feel like a kid again. You leave all your problems back at home when you come here."

Cameron laughed again. His eyes burned into me. Yep. He was clearly amused by the choice of topic.

"You can have your opinion and I can have mine."
He said rather calm.

I frowned and tore my gaze from his. I stared down to the floor and took in deep breaths.

Its fine. Everythings fine. Think happy thoughts.
Besides, its not a big deal if he doesn't like disney. It doesn't effect me.
Except it does!
It does effect me. Expecially because Carter wants to keep hanging out during this trip. Which meant I'd be seeing Cameron

I just couldn't handle his opinion. It didn't work like that.
And I was a huge control freak.

I huffed and turned, smiling sweetly at him.

"Okay how about this. You give me one day.
One day to prove to you how disneyland is the best place to go on vacation, and really is the happiest place on earth."

I could tell he was intrigued.

He thought about it before answering.
"And what do I get if you fail?"

I felt my smile drop.
Of course he'd want something in return.

"You can choose. Whatever you want."

This made his grin only grow.

"Okay deal. I will give you tomorrow from when the park opens right down to when the park closes."

He put his hand out to shake on our deal and I took his hand sealing the bet

"And if you fail you can't come back here ever again."

I jerked my hand back as fast as I could.
"What! You must be joking."

Cameron let out a long hard laugh and I just huffed crossing my arms against my chest.
His laugh faded down to a smile and he looked at me.
"I'm kidding. If you fail, which I'm counting on...you have to let me take you on a real vacation.
How long are you in California?"

My cheeks heatened in embarrassment and crossed my arms.
"Our flight is sunday." I muttered.

"Okay good that gives us about week. When you fail, plan on me showing you around California Saturday. That is or do you have disney tickets that day?"

I shook my head. "We have disney tickets Monday through Friday."

"Great. Then its a date."

A date. I dont know why those words shook me so much.

I would win this bet.
