Chapter 69

Yumi and Miran had met and had gone shopping in search of a costume, each one for the one they were in charge of. Luckily the two of them found common hours as Yumi had just finished her dancing classes while Miran had a three-hour gap until her next lecture.

"I don't like anything about this place. Nothing draws me in. Let's go to another one." said Yumi as she took one last look at the Halloween costumes for men that didn't satisfy her though she hadn't decided exactly what to dress Yoongi in yet. But shops were supposed to give inspiration and ideas to everyone who visited them but that didn't seem to be the case for her.

"I think I found something that would look stunning for Hoseok but I'll come and get it another time when I'm alone," Miran told her, as the two started walking slowly towards the exit.

"Come on seriously, you're not going to tell me? As you know I'm going to be curious. " Yumi quickly grabbed her arm and looked at her with a soft gaze, wanting to know what outfit she was planning to get for Hoseok.

"We are all curious. That's the point and after all, I can't tell you since we agreed to keep it a secret to see if we would recognize each other at the party. " Miran told her as the two of them exited the store side by side.

"Pfff, you're starting to look like Eleon, following the rules and all " Yumi pouted and Miran couldn't help but laugh a little at her words.

"If I were like Eleon, you'd be under interrogation right now for the young man I saw you talking to outside your school when I came to pick you up." Miran gave her a mischievous look as she found the right moment to bring that up for she had curiosity towards the event.

"Don't give me that look. It's nothing weird. I just think the guy likes me. Actually, I am certain he does, he said it himself. He's very straightforward." Yumi started explaining about Lucas who had stopped by her school again today to see her, after their, shall we say, date last time when they had had crepes together.

"Ooh, he sounds promising. What's his name, what do we know about him so far? "Miran started asking questions but Yumi didn't seem too interested.

"Lucas is his name, he's a model and Taehyung most likely knows him. From what I've seen so far, he's not a bad guy, but..."

"But?"

"But you know I'm turned off by guys that keep running after me and he already looks down bad while I haven't  even done anything to get his attention." Yumi blurted out, slightly annoyed that she now had another lovestruck guy to get off her back.

"You know it might be time to stop getting into bad relationships. What's wrong with being with someone who wants you? Yes, I know you like the game of chase but love isn't just about the game." Miran tried to give her sister some serious advice but Yumi just started laughing at her words.

"Are you serious? And who told you I wanted something serious? For God's sake, I don't want to get hurt. I only have one heart, you know." Yumi replied and Miran gave her a sad look but didn't have time to say anything as Yumi's cell phone rang.

"Oh! It's Irine. I'll tell her about the party! It would be great if she could come too. I'll invite her!" She said and Miran nodded her head affirmatively not finding any problems with it and then Yumi answered the call, with an extra enthusiasm.

---change of set---

Jungkook was sitting on the couch with his arms crossed and an irritated look that he was trying to hide in front of Anika who smiled widely at his brother Jimin once he put down on the coffee table the coffee he made for her.

His eyes met with hers and she looked down with cheeks that started to blush, which made Jungkook want to get up and wipe from his brother's lips the friendly smile Jimin gave her.

"It was really kind of you to take the trouble to come and visit my brother. The truth is that he was lonely in the early hours of the morning because we all have to be away from home." Jimin told her leaving the tray on the table's edge and taking a seat on the couch at a distance from her.

"Really? Why didn't you tell me Jungkook? I can come and keep you company. "She looked towards Jungkook with joy, and his heartbeat started to increase at the thought of her wanting to spend more time with him.

Do you think this situation will finally turn in my favour?

"Of course, you can come. I'd feel a lot more at peace if I knew he had company." Jimin encouraged her, already having a suspicion that his brother had an interest in this girl if he was to judge by the way Jungkook avoided looking at her gently.

"Oh of course I can come. Don't even discuss it. After all, Jungkook and I are good friends. I don't think you dislike my company, do you Jungkook?" Anika asked and Jungkook's eyes opened wide as he found himself in difficulty to reply.

"Uh... of course. I-I like your company." He managed to get those words out while inside he wanted the earth to open up and swallow him. Why on earth did he have to be so awkward in front of her?

How could she see me as a man if I can't even speak properly before her? To hell with it!

He cursed under his breath in indignation.

"Good. I'll see you tomorrow then. Unfortunately, I can't stay more for today, although I'd love to." Anika stood up from her seat looking towards Jimin who she hadn't thought she would meet today and now that he was there, the truth was she had more than wanted to stay longer but unfortunately, she had plans.

Jungkook and Jimin stood up with her, each for different reasons as Jimin thought it would be appropriate for someone to escort her to the door and Jungkook remembered that he still had to give her the book that one of his teammates had asked Anika to take it from him and bring it to him since she had come to see Jungkook.

"Just a moment. Hyung's book is upstairs" he told her and with quick steps he ran towards the stairs, gaining a few words from Jimin who told him to be careful but Jungkook ignored him.

Jimin looked to his side with an annoyed look for a moment as he was well aware of what position his body was in and his behaviour at that moment would cost him in his recovery but at the same time, Jimin understood the fact that everyone would want to look good in the eyes of someone they were interested in as he assumed Jungkook was to Anika.

Jimin gave Anika a small smile before walking her to the door and the two of them stepped out and walked a few steps until Jimin found himself gazing at his vehicle that was parked right in front of the house.

"I'm so sorry I can't give you a ride. Unfortunately, I have a lot to do today." Jimin felt the need to say this as his car was right before her and he didn't want her to think he was letting her take public transportation when he had the ability to service her. Although no one asked him to do this he just felt the need to excuse himself for avoiding doing a good deed.

"Oh, don't worry. I understand. After all, a little walking will do me good. My body needs it." Anike replied and Jimin couldn't help but step back and check her body from top to bottom.

To him, it was a simple act but she almost screamed at the mere fact that her eyes were travelling her body with such care.

"I don't think so. Your body is in a very good condition. " Jimin told her sincerely as she seemed to be in very good shape physically but she also seemed in need of some confidence so he kindly uttered those words.

The only problem was that once again his good intentions had been mistranslated, his smile and words making Anika blush and making Jungkook who saw the moment, want to punch him.

Such a Flirt! His whole life! Once he sees a female! He just has to hit on everyone he sees! He is such a bastard!

Jungkook approached them with quick steps and placed the book between them, drawing both of their attention to him before Anika took the book and with a quick bow and a hurried goodbye, she began to walk away without looking back at them again.

"Come on, let's go inside and I'll give you your massage. I'm in a hurry." Jimin turned and faced his brother and grabbed his brother's arm to support him but to his surprise, Jungkook pushed him so hard he almost fell.

"What the-"

"You're awful," Jungkook told him as he looked at him with a look that would kill if it were a knife.

"What?" It was all Jimin had time to say before Jungkook took off in quick strides into the house leaving him behind, quite confused but also a little hurt by the way he looked at him.

What did I do now? I thought he'd like to see her more often. What's his problem?

Jimin wondered before he followed him in.
