My Big Lipped Self

I graduate from high school,

but I must still remember that I'm only my big lipped self.

I won't be treated fairly because of my big lipped self.

I won't be allowed to have goals.

They'll say I'm white for my big lipped goals.

Everyone wants to be me until they're treated the same as my big lipped self.

Gucci makes a mockery of my race,

they apologize, but the damage is done,

But yet no one apologizes to me.

I have a dream,

that we will all achieve.

We will not continue to be known only for our big lips and weaves.

Today, we take a stand.

Tomorrow, this will be our land.

I will no longer be ran by a man that still claims to make America "great again."

Hey everyone! I would just like to thank y'all for 89 followers! I really appreciate it and I'm so grateful for all of you, and also thanks for reading this, this book has gotten over 1k reads! It's really unexpected and insane to me that this book has gotten so many reads. On a snow day, I sporadically came up with the idea for this book, created the cover, and posted my first chapter. So thanks again!

I know that this book doesn't only have women's right content in it, but the main thing that I want you to be able to say when reading this book is, me too. I want you to feel comfortable enough to share your stories and release the feeling of guilt.

It's also crazy to me how I haven't exactly experienced many of the things that I've written about, but from listening to how others feel when these things have happened to them almost gives me the same emotions that they feel, and that's how I'm able to write about it. I hope that all of you will feel inspired to write as well.

I may just be a teenager, but I'm beginning to discover what I do and don't want in my life and gender inequality, racism isn't one of them. I'm, along with society trying to overcome these barriers, so that the future will be brighter for all of us. I really encourage all of you to take a stand on what you want in your life, don't just say, "that's tough," do something to change it. Sometimes, you have to be that person to take a stand before others will even think of doing it, so I encourage you to be the one to lead the crowd.

I would also like to give a motivational pep talk to you. I know that it can be hard sometimes when you're waking up and going to school or work early, or any other things you do. I commend you for working so hard to accomplish your dreams and to be brave enough to go out there and make money. It's not easy, but you're doing very well and in order to succeed in what you're doing, you must keep working hard. There will be trials and tribulations that you will face, but don't be discouraged, keep going and reach your goals. I believe in you!
