I wish I wasn't a leaf that is smothered in dirt and suppressed  by the rain.

I wish I was a famous poet because even if I don't show it, everyone wants to be heard.

I wish the world could read my poems like a page in my heart except they never care to flip the page.

I wish I could be a lily pad and float on top of the water without being submerged in the worlds drowning tales.

I wish I wasn't a planner where no one writes any plans as if I am less than.

I wish there were no awkward silences and I wouldn't have to silence my thoughts that are treated as a defiance.

I wish that I wasn't ignored and didn't hear the crickets when I talk on discord.

I wish that people took my advice instead of stomping over what I said and sleeping over my advice like it's a bed.

Like petals swimming away from its stem, I know that I am a gem.

But sometimes I just wish that I was more like them.
