In a daze, Salina was led through a luxurious hotel. Dominik held her hand tightly, Fern and Gabriel were on either side of her as well as well as three other Ivanov guards.
She's never really seen the look Dominik has in his eyes at this moment.
It made her heart skip a beat at the sight of what so many people saw in their last moments. Feeling her gaze on the side of his face, Dominik wrapped his arm around her shoulders and tugged her into his side. Leaning down, he kissed her temple gently and then her cheek.
Salina hummed softly when he pulled away, "Ça va?"
is everything okay?
She smiled up at him, nodding once at his question as he strode on determinedly.
"Are you sure, Domo?" She couldn't help but ask, he still had time to change his mind.
"I'm sure," he was facing forward as they walked quickly. Salina gripped his shirt to slow him up, forcing him to look at her.
"Domo... Look at me- you're positive?"
He finally paused, "Mon chèr," he cupped her cheeks. "You are the most important thing to me. I don't have the patience for anymore threats to your safety or our marriage. This isn't the first time they've tested me and it wouldn't have been the last. I'm tired of the threats and the arrogance."
His attention was momentarily torn away when they caught sight of a Russian man that Dominik seemed to recognize. She figured he recognized him because Dominik wasted no time lifting his gun and shooting it straight through the mans skull.
Salina didn't flinch away this time, simply sneering at the loud sound. The single gunshot signaled the okay for all the others in the Ivanov clan- their weapons firing endlessly and killing what Salina knew was Andrei and Irina's guards.
In front of her, Russian was flying from both sides. Dominik was barking orders she didn't even understand and for a moment Salina wondered what she was even doing here. But she knew that neither her nor Dominik wanted to be apart at this moment.
And he would never let anything happen to her.
Gabriel stepped forward, holding his gun pointed down as Fern stepped behind him and kicked the door down. Shrieks, presumably from Irina, echoed out from the hotel as more shots were fired in.
"Wait here," he kissed her cheek again as he casually stepped into the room being lit up with gun fire. Salina frowned, crossing her arms tightly and toying with her sweater.
Sounds of a struggle went on in the room, minutes passing and Salina winced at the sounds of obvious pain and the crunching of bones.
"Baby c'mere," her husband called softly moments later.
Tentatively, she opened the door and just as they did all of the guards filed out. Salina raised a brow when she saw Andrei and Irina tied down to chairs.
Andrei was bleeding profusely from his head, he struggled to focus his eyes on her and Irina clenched her fists tightly in her seat. Her cold eyes were narrowed and her entire body was tense.
"Dominik, stop this nonsense. Message received- untie us. You've already drawn blood," Irina hissed through her clenched teeth as she looked at her husband who sneered at their son.
Salina was watching them warily, feeling Dominik guide her to sit across from his parents. He rubs her shoulders while smirking at his parents over her head.
"You can't even begin to understand my message," Dominik snickered as he bent his head down to brush his lips up Salina's neck. She lent back into his touch, although Dominik's display solely to piss his parents off would soon piss her off. They didn't even deserve the theatrics he was giving them.
"But are you starting to get the picture here?" The mafia Don hummed as he pressed his nose to his wife's neck and inhaling deeply. "You gave me a choice.. whether you verbalized it or not. Now I've made it."
"This is madness! Fucking- get me out of here! I will not stand for this any longer, Dominik. You're going against the entirety of the Ivanov's doing this!" Andrei screamed out, spit flying from his mouth as he shook his chair about.
Dominik pouted mockingly, "Oh poor Andrei. You're so ignorant to the world around you, you don't evolve old man. You're stuck in your ways. I am the Ivanov's. I don't need either of you and I haven't in a long time."
Salina turned her face towards her husband, watching him closely before he too looked back at her. Then, he was putting his handgun into her grasp and kissing her softly.
"If they move in a way you don't like baby, shoot them in the fucking face- yeah? Good girl," Dominik purred as his face hovered over her own. Salina's eyes widened for a second before nodding once. Leaning back in her chair, she gripped the gun as Dominik pulled out another one.
"You know- I've had your voice in my head since I was a boy," Dominik began as he squatted in front of his parents. He sighed exasperatedly, tapping his temple with the barrel of his firearm.
"You beat it into me very well, I have to say. Every decision I made I had to hear your dumbass screaming over and over about what I should. It's. Fucking. Annoying!"
His parents both jumped at the raise in volume, terror began emitting off them in waves. Perhaps this was when they started realizing Dominik was serious.
"But lucky for you, the voice is so quiet now. Barely a whisper. Now, my sweet wife I hear at every waking moment. Her voice, I love it so much. Look at her... Look!"
Dominik snarled as he slams his fist on the table besides him and points the gun at Irina. She shrieked and the older couple both looked to Salina.
Honestly, she looked a bit bored.
"You almost made me lose her. You raised me in a shitty fucking home and my children will be raised better than you could ever fathom. And unlike you, I know better than to underestimate Salina," Dominik stood up abruptly. Both of them flinched while tied down and he chuckled to himself as he walked back around Salina. He leaned down again, brushing his mouth against her ear.
"You both thought she was below you but she's excelled as Donna. And she's as cut throat as they come, right eсолнышко? Show them," he instructed Salina gently. She didn't have to look back at him to know what he meant. He wanted her to shoot one of them.
"Salina..." Irina began shakily. She fidgeted in the chair she was strapped down to, "Salina we got off to a bad start- I've realized now that we sh-should be more open minded. Bring some sense to my son, yes?" Her thick accent made her words jumble up but Salina simply tilted her head in thought.
"I think he makes perfect sense," Salina responded in her sultry voice. Dominik chuckled, his breath fanning her neck and raising goosebumps.
"Which one is it going to be?" He grazed his teeth over the shell of her ear. Salina weighed her options. She could shoot Andrei- that would be... invigorating. To be one of the few that's left a mark on the Andrei Ivanov. Or... there was Irina who has yet to get a mark on her.
Her head tilted in thought, peering at her target before pulling the trigger. Andrei screamed out through his gritted teeth as the bullet shot straight through his liver, Salina knew he'd bleed out slowly. Slow enough for Dominik to do whatever had planned.
"Perfect," Dominik perked up. "She reads my mind I swear. Did you think it would all end like this, папа. Все эти годы ты мучил меня. Я имею в виду, что ты действительно думал, что произойдет?
All those years you tortured me. I mean really what did you think would happen?
Dominik slapped his father roughly to catch his attention back, his hand slid up to grip Andrei's hair painfully. He craned his head back and notched the nozzle of his gun under Andrei's chin. Dominik began chuckling softly, Salina could see his shoulders shake with amusement.
He caught sight of the wound Salina left, the blood soaked through the expensive fabric of the shirt. The man towering over them inhaled the scent of his blood deeply, exhaling with only satisfaction on his face.
"Посмотри на меня."
look at me
Andrei sneered and dragged his hazy eyes towards his son. They're eyes reflected one another's, they were almost identical. "This business you created will continue to thrive, I promise you that," Dominik gave him the comfort in knowing that before pulling the trigger.
He didn't turn away as blood and brain matter sprayed his face and body. His mother screamed loudly, sobs and curses flying from her mouth.
Dominik wasted no more time, shooting Irina in the face point blank. He offered the useless woman no comfort or nice words before her death.
The room was still and silent for a moment. The labored breaths of adrenaline rang in his ears as he started at his parents corpses. Salina stood up, staring at her husband with worry clear on her face before he started laughing.
Laughing- loudly and freely. Salina's hands came to his back, smoothing her hand over his spine. Abruptly, he spun around, covered in blood as he grinned down at her. Salina had no warning before he crashed his lips against her own, groaning loudly in the satisfaction of feeling her.
Salina gasped, kissing him back gently as his own lips moved ferociously. Her soft hands held either side of his face, her thumb brushed the corner of his eye. Suddenly, Salina pulled away.
Her pretty brown eyes peered up at him, concern etching onto her face. Blood smeared his cheeks and brow and from the corner of his eyes tears fell slowly.
"Mon cœur," she cooed. "Dominik, please." Her hands tugged on his shoulders to try and get him to sit.
"No, no my eсолнышко. My жена. My все. I'm just happy," he wound his arms around her tiny waist to hug her close while admiring her face.
my little sun. my wife. my everything
Salina's own eyes watered, unable to hide her smile. Uncontrollable giggles erupted from her- whether from shock or from adrenaline she doesn't know. Dominik chuckled softly as well, letting her wipe his face of his parents blood.
When their laughter quieted down, Salina simply caressed his now mostly clean face. She admired the man she loved more than she thought possible. "We deserve a break, Dominik. Please," she practically begged.
Dominik nodded, "I'll cut down on work, Salina. I promise, we'll have a break."
Her eyes slid to the lifeless bodies behind his broad shoulders and immediately she frowned up at her husband. "Can we leave now?"
Once again, her husband nodded with one last parting glance to his parents he walked out with his wife in front of him.
