Jungkook pulls Taehyung close to his chest, laying his head in the crook of his neck, their bare legs still tangled together.

The brunette exhales, his eyes falling shut as he catches his breath, sweat glistening on his forehead.

"I love you." Jungkook breathes into his fiancé's hair. "I love you so much, Taehyung."

Taehyung laughs softly, kissing the younger's neck before responding. "I love you more, Jungkook."

"I don't want to leave." The younger says, his heavy eyes falling shut as his chest still heaved slightly. "I don't want this to end."

Taehyung pouts softly. "It won't end. We're getting married, Jungkook. We'll always be together."

"I know we'll always be together, but it won't always be like this." Jungkook says kissing Taehyung's shoulder. "Here, in our own perfect world."

The brunette laughs. "We can always go on other vacations."

Jungkook sighs, sure they could, that'd be easy, but nothing would ever be as special as this trip. "I love you."

"I love you too, Kook." Taehyung says pulling away from Jungkook so that he can look at him better. "What's the matter? You sound like something's bothering you."

The younger shakes his head. "I'm fine. I just...I love you. That's all."

Taehyung isn't convinced by his words. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm okay." Jungkook promises as he presses a kiss to Taehyung's forehead. "I promise."

The brunette smiles when Jungkook pulls him back into his chest. "Our passion won't be left behind when we leave, Kook. This isn't as good as it gets, it just gets better from here."

Jungkook smiles at Taehyung's words, the brunette always knew just how to comfort him. "It just gets better."

Taehyung laughs. "I promise it does."

And Jungkook believed him one hundred percent.

Things would just get better from here.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Please stop asking me that, it's not helping."

Jungkook nods, refocusing his attention on the paper work he was going to get done durning the flight.

Vic sighs softly as he looks out the window, anticipation rising in his gut as they announce the final boarding call.

"I'm sorry if I'm in a shitty mood. I just really fucking hate this." Vic apologizes, pushing his shades on top of his head and looking at Jungkook.

"It's okay, Vic. I understand." Jungkook says shooting him an understanding smile.

"Flight 2173 is preparing for take off. All passengers, please fasten you seatbelts. In case of an emergency..."

Vic tightens his seatbelt for the umpteenth time, his leg bouncing nervously.

"Wanna hold my hand?" Jungkook says holding his hand out, earning a look from Vic. "Come on, it might help."

"Fine. But we don't speak of this." The brunette says taking Jungkook's hand just as the plane starts to move.

Jungkook smiles reassuringly at Vic when he squeezes his hand in fear. "It's okay, Vic."

"Mhm." Vic hums, his eyes closing as the plane accelerates for takeoff. "Shit, this is the worst part."

Jungkook feels bad for Vic as the plane gets off the ground and his breaths come out shaky. "We're in the air now, Vic. The turbulence isn't supposed to be that bad today."

"Okay. Great. Yeah, cool." The older says taking his hand away from Jungkook's and looking out of the small window, closing the shutter immediately.

"You're okay now?" The younger asks, Vic nods his head. "Okay."

"What is it that you're doing there?" The brunette asks looking at the papers in Jungkook's lap.

"Oh, I got a new client a couple weeks ago so I'm just trying to read up and see if I can help them." Jungkook answers. "Just boring talk therapy stuff, really."

"Is it another middle-aged woman trying to get in your pants?" Vic asks, scoffing and rolling his eyes. "You have enough of those."

"What? I do not, and my clients don't try to sleep with me." The younger says defensively. "I don't know where you and Jimin get that from."

"Let me guess, your new client is a middle aged woman going through a nasty divorce who thinks talk therapy is the 'saving grace' she needs to get through this horrible time in her life." The brunette says dramatically, describing Jungkook's patient to a tee.

Jungkook looks at his paperwork and he kind of starts to see where he's coming from. "Alright, fine. I'll tell her I'm all booked."

Vic laughs at him, shaking his head. "I'm convinced that the only reason you get clients is because they want to sleep with you."

"Thanks for that." The younger says flipping to his next set of paperwork.

"That and because you're an extremely talented psychotherapist that anyone would be lucky to have." The brunette adds, making Jungkook roll his eyes. "I was right though, wasn't I?"

"Okay. Drop it, go to sleep or something." The younger says waving his hand and focusing on his work.

It's a calm flight, not much turbulence throughout, Vic switches as they're landing, Taehyung fronting as the plane hits the runway.

The brunette grips the arm rests in panic before Jungkook comforts him quickly.

"Hey," He says taking his hand. "We're just landing, it's okay."

Taehyung nods, blinking a few times as the plane comes to a stop. "Sorry~"

"It's okay." Jungkook says squeezing his hand reassuringly. "Take your time, I'll get our bags down."

Taehyung gathers the things Vic brought to keep himself occupied durning the flight, his hands shaking with the other's fear.

"Take your time, baby." Jungkook says when he notices the brunette's rushing.

"I'm fine." Taehyung says, trying to smile up at him reassuringly. It was always hard switching in public places, they always felt so vulnerable durning switches and feeling like that around so many people wasn't a good feeling.

Jungkook makes it better though, he makes everything better.

"I'm okay, Jungkook." The brunette insists as he stands to exit the plane, the amount of people still making him anxious.

Jungkook leads him off the plane and to the baggage claim, taking his hand despite the looks they receive from a few passerby's.

"You okay?" The younger asks squeezing his hand as he leads the way to the car.

"Yeah, I just hate switching in public." Taehyung responds, his anxiety calming when they finally reach the car.

"I know." Jungkook says as he opens the door for him. "We'll be home soon."

Taehyung smiles, stealing a kiss before climbing in the car.

The car ride is mostly quiet aside from the radio, Taehyung was exhausted from the stress of traveling and Jungkook didn't want to bother him too much until he got a chance to rest.

When they arrive to the house they both immediately notice the numerous cars parked around the house.

"Oh, no." Taehyung sighs, leaning forward in his seat. "What is this?"

Jungkook parks the car on the curb due to the cars blocking the garage. "It must be Jimin."

Just as the words leave his mouth Jimin walks out the front door, skipping towards them with a bright smile.

Taehyung unbuckles his seatbelt before climbing out of the car to meet his best friend. "Jimin-ah~"

"Before you say anything, I just want you to know that it's a really lowkey gathering and I spent a lot of time putting it together so, please don't be upset." The older says holding his hands up. "It's the engagement party you said you never wanted but it's everything you'd ever want at the same time."

"Why didn't you tell us, Jimin?" Jungkook asks walking around the car.

"Because I wanted you to be surprised." Jimin pouts. "And I knew you'd say no."

"Jimin~" Taehyung starts again before Jimin cuts him off.

"Don't be mad, Tae. It's just our friends and your parents~"

"Parents?" Jungkook asks. "What do you mean 'parents?'"

"I invited your mom, Jungkook."

"Jimin!" The younger exclaims. "What do you mean you invited her? How?"

"I just called her and she said she'd come. She's a really nice lady~"

"She's literally my mom, Jimin. You don't have to introduce her to me." Jungkook says, running a frustrated hand through his hair before going to get their bags from the trunk of the car.

"Can I say something now?" Taehyung asks, highly annoyed with the two of them.

    "Yeah, I'm sorry. I just~"

"Why'd you invite his mother? You know they have a complicated relationship." The brunette says. "You should've called me, Jimin."

"It's a surprise party, Tae." The older pouts, crossing his arms. "And she's happy for you guys."

"It's fine, Jimin." Jungkook says handing Taehyung his bags. "I really appreciate you thinking about us. You didn't have to."

"I wanted to. You guys deserve to be celebrated." Jimin smiles. "And, I told your parents that the party ended at seven but that's actually when it starts."

"You're a dork." Taehyung laughs shaking his head.

"Let's just go inside, yeah?" Jungkook says closing the trunk.

"Yeah." Jimin says excitedly before skipping off ahead of them.

Taehyung looks at Jungkook, trying to read the younger's expression before saying anything.

"I'm fine, Tae." He says when he meets his gaze. "Seriously, let's just get it over with."

"Hey," The brunette says, stopping him by the arm. "I know it's not fine, Jungkook. If it was you would've reached out to her years ago."

"Yeah, well I really don't feel like talking about that when I literally have to see her in a second." Jungkook snaps, the frustration in his tone not because of Taehyung but because of the situation. "I feel like an asshole for not calling her, alright? What the hell can I do about it now?"

"Okay." Taehyung says, he never took it well when Jungkook got upset, even if it wasn't because of him. He usually just shuts down the conversation when they argue or when Jungkook was upset, which wasn't fair to either of them, he was trying hard to work on that. "Can we talk later, then?"

"About what?" The younger asks continuing up the driveway.

Taehyung shrugs, following him into the house silently, both him and Jungkook forcing smiles as their friends and family greet them.

"Jeon Jungkook." Namjoon laughs as he hugs the younger. "I haven't seen you in forever."

"You're so dramatic." The younger chuckles, patting his back before pulling away to hug Hoseok. "I wish I would've known you guys would be here I would've dressed better."

"You look fine." Hobi says hugging him briefly before pulling away so Jungkook can hug Seokjin.

"You came, hyung?" The younger laughs. "How'd you fit me into your busy schedule."

"I barely managed." The older says hugging him back briefly. "How was the trip?"

"It was pretty good." Jungkook shrugs, switching his carry-on to his other hand as he goes to greet Mr. Kim. "Mr. Kim."

"Jungkook." The man says offering a small smile as he shakes his hand. "How have things been?"

"Alright." The younger nods. "I can't really complain."

Taehyung smiles as the two continue to make small talk before Jimin is grabbing his attention again.

"Dinner should be here any minute so please go change and get back down here." He says pushing him towards the stairs. "I'll entertain while you're gone."

"Okay, okay. Fine." The brunette says rolling his eyes. "I'll be right back."

Jungkook looks around the room for his mother, finding the women standing off from the group, her eyes already watching her son.

"I'll be right back, Jimin." He says to his friend before he goes to talk to her.

"Okay. Go ahead." Jimin smiles.

Jungkook walks over to her, biting his lip nervously as he stops in front of her, looking down before speaking. "Mother."

"Son." She responds looking up at him. "I'm sorry your father couldn't come on such short notice."

"Yeah. I didn't expect him to come." Jungkook says. "I didn't expect you to come either."

His mother takes his chin in her hand and forces him to look at her, tilting her head as she examined his face. "You've changed a lot through all these years."

"I'm sorry I didn't call you." Jungkook says, the guilt that's built up over all this time coming to a head.

"Hm," The woman hums, crossing her arms. "you shouldn't be sorry for my mistakes, Jungkook."

"I stopped calling." The younger says dropping his carry-on to the ground.

"I know why you stopped calling, Jungkook." His mother says. "And it wasn't your fault. I shouldn't have let your father~"

"Mom."

"I shouldn't have let you step father," The woman corrects. "make you feel uncomfortable in your own home. It was wrong of me and I wish I could go back and fix that. Because you're my son and I love you, and I want you to at least have a good relationship with me if not with your dad. I'm sorry for not reaching out to you. I'm the adult, I should've called."

Jungkook nods, some of the guilt dissipating.

"So you're getting married, huh?" His mother asks, forcing a smile to form on Jungkook's face.

"Yeah. I am." He chuckles.

"I'm happy for you." She says, chuckling as well. "You have a lot of good people around you, Jungkook. I can tell your friends really care about you."

"I know." Jungkook says looking back at his friends and his soon to be father-in-law who have now gathered in the living.

"Do you love him?" His mother asks, even though the answer is obvious.

"Yeah. I love him a lot." The younger nods. "I couldn't imagine myself marrying anyone else."

"If you love him, I love him too, Jungkook. I've always told that I'd love whoever you decided to marry when the time came. And I meant it." His mother says taking his hands in hers. "You don't have to speak to your step father, even though I wish you would, but please don't avoid me anymore, Jungkook."

"I won't, mom. I'm sorry." Jungkook says, pulling his mother into a long overdue hug. "Never again."

"Okay, okay." She says patting his back. "Go change before you keep your friends waiting too long."

Jungkook pulls away from the hug. "You're gonna love Taehyung, mom. He's perfect, I swear he is."

"I believe you. Go now." She says waving him on.

Jungkook grabs his bag and skips up the stairs, walking into the bedroom and finding Taehyung sitting on the bed kind of staring off.

"Hey," He says putting his bags down. "are you dissociating?"

"No. I'm just kind of tired." The brunette says, forcing himself to continue putting his shoes on. "Are better now?"

"I'm sorry I snapped at you earlier." Jungkook says after realizing why he's asking. "I didn't mean to. I was just nervous. I shouldn't have taken it out on you."

"It's okay. I understand." Taehyung says as he laces up his shoes.

"Baby," The younger drawls as he sits beside him and pulls him into his arms.

"What?" The brunette says, biting back the smile that forms on his face.

"Don't be mad at me." Jungkook whines, looking at his fiancé with a serious expression. "I'm sorry, I was a dork."

"A huge dork." Taehyung says pouting. "You hurt my feelings."

"Oh, my baby." The younger says mimicking his expression. "How can I make it better?"

Taehyung can't help but crack the smallest smile. "Kiss."

"Mm." Jungkook hums as he kisses the brunette, both of them smiling into the kiss before he pulls away. "Better?"

"I'll be fine for now." The brunette says. "Make it up to me later?"

"You don't even have to ask." The younger smirks as he leans in to kiss him again.

"Hey, you guys." Jimin's voice comes from the other side of the door, followed by a few knocks. "Please tell me you're not fucking right now. Was three weeks not enough?"

"Jimin, I said I'd be right back." Taehyung complains.

"That was ten minutes ago." Jimin whines. "Dinner's gonna be here soon."

"Okay, Jiminie. I'm coming." The brunette singsongs as he stands, pulling Jungkook up with him.

"Okay. And Jungkook, put your dick away and come enjoy the party I'm throwing for your dumbass."

"All dicks away."

"Good. Come downstairs."

Jungkook rolls his eyes. "Go ahead, Tae. I'm gonna change."

"Okay. Don't take too long, I don't wanna be alone." Taehyung says before leaving the room.

Jimin smiles excitedly at him before pulling him down the stairs, going on and on about how he wanted to show him the decorations.

Despite his slight fatigue Taehyung manages to smile and chat excitedly with his friends, he was honestly so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful individuals.

"Alright, alright." Namjoon says standing and clinking his spoon against his glass. "I don't know who decided, or why, but I'm giving the toast tonight. I'm just gonna start talking and hopefully the right thing comes out."

Everyone around the table chuckles, giving Namjoon their undivided attention.

"I met Jungkook when he was in his final year at university. We met in a strip club, but that part doesn't matter." The older says earning another laugh, Taehyung looking down as he laughs, his face flushing. "I met Taehyung months later, when they were already dating," He continues, thankfully leaving out the part about Taehyung also being at the club. "so I can't say I know either of them that well but I know one thing for sure, these two, they love each other. No doubt."

Taehyung looks up at Jungkook to find his eyes already on him, a fond smile on his face.

"I remember telling Jungkook that life feels different when you have someone to share it with, it's true. It does. And I know that it does because I can see it in both of their eyes that they're so much happier by just...being alive with each other." Namjoon explains, his eyebrows drawing together as his words reach a deeper meaning. "It's rare to have what these two have, it's a privilege to be loved and to love so undoubtedly."

Namjoon pauses as he glances at Hoseok, then at Jimin and Yoongi before his eyes travel to Taehyung and Jungkook.

"It's a blessing to be able to wake up next to the person you love and I want to congratulate Jungkook and Taehyung, and I want to tell them that they are among the luckiest people in the world to be able to wake up, every single day for the rest of their lives, side by side." He says raising his glass. "Congratulations, guys. We love you, and we're proud of you."

Everyone cheers and claps before drinking their drinks, Taehyung and Jungkook both standing and hugging Namjoon.

"Thank you, Namjoon." Taehyung says they hug, tears falling down his face.

"You're welcome, Tae." Namjoon chuckles. "I meant every word."

"Come on, Tae. Don't be a cry baby." Jungkook says making everyone laugh.

Taehyung chuckles as he hugs Jungkook, pulling away enough to kiss him, despite how much he hates displaying of affection around other people.

The dinner portion of the night comes to an end, Jungkook's mom kissing him goodbye before she leaves to drive back home. He offers her a guest room but she insists on driving back tonight.

"Thank you for coming." Taehyung says as he walks his father to the door. "I know you probably didn't want to, but it means a lot that you came."

"I wouldn't have missed it." His father says. "We really have to start discussing the wedding if you want to have it by the end of the year."

Taehyung nods, his dad was always one to focus on the technical aspects of things and never the emotion aspects, it was his way of showing his support without saying it and Taehyung understood that, even though he wanted to hear him say it. "Are you happy for me?"

"If you're happy that's all that really matters, isn't it? I should get going." The man says checking his watch. "I can still get some work done tonight."

"Okay. I'll see tomorrow." The brunette says opening the door for him, closing it after he's gone.

Jungkook finds him by the door after noticing that he didn't return. "Hey, Tae. You're zoning out again."

Taehyung looks up at him, his eyes glossed over with tears. "Sorry, I was saying bye to my dad."

"Baby, what's wrong?" Jungkook says taking his face in his hands, his eyebrows drawn together in worry and concern. "What happened?"

The brunette shakes his head, blinking his tears away and taking Jungkook's hands in his. "I'm fine. Let's just enjoy tonight, okay? I don't want to ruin it."

"You won't ruin it. Tell me what's going on. Now." The younger says looking at him expectantly.

"Please, Kook. I'm fine." Taehyung says. "I just really want the night to end perfectly."

Jungkook sighs, his shoulders sagging as he watches Taehyung blink away his tears. "I wanna fix it."

"Kook~"

"We're pouring drinks, get your asses in here!" Jimin yells from the kitchen.

"We're coming." Taehyung calls back, looking up at Jungkook. "I'm fine, bun. I swear."

Jungkook nods, kissing Taehyung's forehead before leading the way to the kitchen.

Taehyung was sad that his father wasn't vocal about his acceptance but he tells himself that he has to understand that his father just needs time. He's doing more than enough by helping with the wedding and he's trying his best to understand that.

His father accepted him, he just couldn't say it yet.
