So I really like this guy, ok? And so I'm new to this school, I was new this year, and whenever I try to talk to him I just choke up, and like MMMMMMM It makes me so mad that I'm making a fool outta myself. 

Anyway, I met this really cool girl and she is always trying to comfort me/help me talk to him. It's difficult because for some reason whenever I like someone, I always get super shy around them, or just completely awkward around them.

Another problem is when you (I've don't this in the past.) surround yourself with people who try to make you be someone who your crush would like, but in the end you realize it's not you.
