Titanic

We were in the living room with the TV on ready to watch "Titanic".

Patrick: It's been 110 years since Titanic sank.

Fu Hua: Yes it has.

Theresa: Out of all the movies made retelling the events, this one by James Cameron tops them all.

Himeko: James Cameron is great. He's directed a lot of great movies like the "Terminator" film series, "Aliens" in the "Alien" film series, "Rambo: First Blood part II" in the "Rambo" film series, "Point Break", and "Avatar" which managed to make the most money and no other movie has been able to surpass it for a decade until "Avengers: Endgame" but then "Avatar" was rereleased again in China and reclaimed the throne again.

Patrick: Yeah... James Cameron is a legend. I remember on Titanic's 100th anniversary, the movie was rereleased in theaters again. It had great stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, and Bill Paxton.

Kiana: And that song, "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion. It's really emotional.

Patrick: We know how it ends. Titanic sinks. Just like in every movie.

Rita: Most artifacts recovered from the wreck have been put in museums in America and Europe.

Durandal: Like old dishes, old teacups, old china, old clothing, old metal, old luggage, and pieces of coal.

Patrick: There was that one time where my mom and I went to a Titanic exhibition at the Liberty Science Center in my home state New Jersey where there were artifacts of the Titanic shown. There were other things like a model iceberg to touch to know how the passengers felt during the cold temperatures and when the Titanic struck the iceberg. There was also a model of the Titanic what it's like at the bottom of the ocean. We have souvenirs from the exhibition. There was also that time when my dad and I went to the Biltmore Estate during Spring Break where it was holding a Titanic Exhibition too but did not know that because the only reason why we were going to North Carolina was to see the filming location of "The Fugitive" where the train crash scene was filmed at but he also wanted to go to the Biltmore Estate. It was a good timing that we went there where we were surprised to see the Titanic Exhibition over there. Turns out that the Vanderbilt family had a history with the Titanic as they originally were gonna board the Titanic but cancelled that and took Titanic's sister ship, Olympic instead. However, a few of them died while on the sinking of the Lusitania. With the history of the Titanic, an exhibition was held at their Estate which is now a museum.

Seele: What was displayed there?

Patrick: Every single costume that was used in James Cameron's movie, "Titanic". I got to see the costumes worn by Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. I also saw the prop the Heart of The Ocean on display with one of the costumes. The Titanic costume exhibition at the Biltmore Estate was really unexpected.

Mei: Titanic's shipwreck is well known in history.

Bronya: One shipwreck was more deadlier than Titanic's shipwreck. The Doña Paz where it was involved with colliding with an oil tanker which caused a fire and then both ships sank.

Patrick: I've heard about that.

Liliya: Nasty.

Rozaliya: Yes.

Kallen: The love story is really interesting. A rich girl from 1st class gets into a relationship with a poor boy from 3rd class. There was also 2nd class on Titanic in between those 2 classes.

Sakura: Most of the time characters from two different classes fall in love with each other.

Patrick: I remember during I believe Kindergarten or 1st grade I read this book about Titanic first hearing about it. I believe also that I used to have a model of the Titanic that floats. I have more books on the Titanic. I also remember reading that FanFiction on FIMFiction where it retold the movie in a pony version.

Theresa: Lets start watching it.

Patrick: Seele, if you start to feel uncomfortable watching the sinking where people are dying, you could always leave and we'll call you back once the sinking is over.

Seele: Oh no. I can take it.

Patrick: Fine then. Still, if you starts to feel uncomfortable, you have me and Bronya to comfort you.

Bronya: Yes.

Seele: Ok.

So we started the movie and sat back.

(After DVD 1)

Rozaliya: It's a really long movie.

Liliya: Really long.

Patrick: DVDs, CDs, and VHS' have limited spaces like USB drives and smart devices. Most movies need to be on 2 discs like "Titanic" and "Pearl Harbor" did. Including "Roots" 1977.

Theresa: Let's take a break and have some sweets.

Seele: Good idea.

Patrick: I'll get the milk.

While eating sweets we discussed what has happened so far.

Patrick: Brock Lovet was searching for the Heart of the Ocean then Rose tells her story. Rose and Jack fall in love with each other. Cal and Rose's family do not want them together.

Kallen: It's like what happens in typical love stories. Someone from high class falls in love with someone from low class. That is why I rob the rich to feed the poor.

Patrick: I love being in middle class. Being in rich class means too much rules to follow and I hate dressing fancy. Why even James from "Pokémon" hated first class and ran away to seek freedom from his family, Jessiebelle, and first class.

Kiana: Most wealthy people prefer to live their own way without following so many rules or dressing fancy or living in mansions.

Kallen: Yeah... most rich people prefer to be wealthy in their own way.

Sakura: Cal frames Jack by putting the Heart of the Ocean in his pocket.

Patrick: The oldest trick in the book. I've seen that before in "The Great Muppet Capper". Putting a necklace in Ms. Piggy's pocket. And then framing her. And then she got her revenge by helping Kermit and the Muppets stop the villains from stealing the Baseball Diamond.

Seele: Jack and Rose had true love. And Cal interfered.

After finishing our sweets, we went back to the living room and put in disc 2.

Theresa: Let's continue where we left off.

Himeko: And get to the homestretch.

(After DVD 2)

We were in tears. Seele held Bronya, Kiana held me and Mei, Theresa held Rita, the twins held each other, and Sakura held Kallen.

Kiana: What an emotional movie.

Seele: It was emotional.

Theresa: The ending was emotional.

Sakura: Reunited in the afterlife.

We stopped crying and regained our senses.

Patrick: They put people in the lifeboats then Rose saves Jack. The music players play that song then dramatic music plays while the Titanic is sinking.

Bronya: The Captain went down with the ship.

Seele: Most of the people died from hypothermia. Including Jack where he goes down to the bottom of the ocean too. Rose used that guy's whistle and was saved.

Fu Hua: And then the Carpathia came at dawn and rescued everyone. Then it arrived in New York City where the scene showed the Statue of Liberty then Rose Dewitt Bukater went by Jack Dawson's last name.

Seele: The sinking was really terrifying.

Patrick: Even so. The iceberg scene was really amazing. They tried their best but failed.

Fu Hua: Even though it was a tragedy, the sinking, the split, and the final part of the sinking was really interesting.

Durandal: the CGI was great and so were the miniature effects. The Titanic set was life size.

Seele: I admit that I was uncomfortable during the sinking part but at least I had Bronya Onee-Chan and Patrick Onii-Chan with me.

Patrick: From what I've seen, the splitting scene took days to do with having to shoot it over and over again.

Mei: After the power went out, the Titanic split in half.

Bronya: Then the rest of the ship sank down to the bottom of the ocean.

Patrick: There were memorable lines like Molly's "God Almighty".

Kiana: And the line, "Iceberg, right ahead!"

Himeko: And the promise line and never let go line too. Jack died and Rose lived as shown at the beginning of the movie where Rose was still alive and Jack wasn't. Then Rose died after she put the Heart of the Ocean back where it belongs. She goes to the afterlife of Titanic where all the other characters that died were there, waiting for her including Jack then after they kiss, everyone claps. And then the movie ended.

Patrick: Of course, Leonardo DiCaprio gets killed off in every movie he's acted in as shown in that video by WatchMojo.com where it shows the top 10 actors who always get killed off. Like in "The Great Gatsby" with Tobey Maguire where I knew that he was gonna get killed off after reading the book.

Kiana: Leonardo DiCaprio or Tobey Maguire?

Patrick: Leonardo DiCaprio.

Rita: Let's watch the deleted scenes too.

Durandal: Ok.

Patrick: Yeah let's do that.

(After watching all the deleted scenes)

Patrick: Those scenes were cut from the movie because they would make the movie too long. However, I prefer the alternate ending. I'd want the characters to know what happened to the Heart Of The Ocean.

Himeko: The ending would of been more happier and then Brock would of danced with Lizzie. Lewis and after Rose threw the Diamond into the ocean was funny.

Patrick: Yes it was. Titanic sank. Then a few years later during World War 1, her sister ship Britannic sank after getting hit by a German mine. And then decades later, Olympic was scrapped.

Theresa: Well we should be getting to bed right now.

Everyone: Ok.

Everyone goes to their bedrooms to go to sleep. Kiana knocked on my door and I answered her.

Patrick: Is there...

And then Kiana kissed me.

Kiana: It was a romantic movie we watched. I felt like giving you a kiss. Good night.

Patrick: Good night.

Kiana walks to her room while I closed the door then all at the same time, we got into bed then went to sleep.

Outside in the waters of Soukai City, an astral projection of a ship appeared in the water. It was the Titanic sailing by then blowing its whistle before disappearing.
