"So Banksy, What's it like being on varsity?" I asked.

"Well, it's okay, but I miss you." He said.

"Yeah. Me too." I said. I did kinda like Banksy, a little. I mean, Luis and I weren't officially together.

Then one of his varsity kids came up.

"Hey. Get away from him loser." He said.

"Excuse you. This is a shovel and rake conversation. We don't need a hoe." I said. Banks laughed.

"Bye Banksy. Ice cream after school." I said. He nodded.

"Alana! Come here." Coach said. I walked to him.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I told you to stay away from the varsity team." He said.

"I was just talking to Banksy, then that puck head came up and told me to leave. I'm not gonna take that." I said.

"I get that they frustrate you, but you can let them know anything about us before the j.v varsity show down." He said. I sighed.

"I get it coach. I'll lay off them, but can I at least talk to Adam?" I asked.

"Fine. But nothing about the team!" He said.

"Thanks coach!" I said then walked away to math. Math was so easy. We were learning about the distributive property.

After school Luis came up to me.

"Hey Mendoza." I said.

"Hey, wanna hang out?" He asked as he grabbed my hand.

"I'd love to, but I've got ice cream with Adam." I said. He looked disappointed.

"Oh. Catch ya later." He said. I nodded and went to the front of the school to wait for him.

He came out a few minutes later.

"Where ya been?" I asked.

"Practice ran a little late." He said. He looked good as always. Damn it.

We skated to the parlor and sat down.
"How's the team?" Banks asked.

"Fine. You're not a spy are ya, Banks?" I asked. He smiled.

"No. I'm just interested. I kinda miss those guys. Varsity guys are so tuff. All we do is practice the whole time." He said.

"Not even a cowboy to hog tie you every once in a while?" I asked.

"Nope." He said. I gasped.

"That is not a world I wanna live in." I said smiling. He laughed.

After ice cream we skated back. I ran into someone.

"Shit! Sorry." I said helping that cheerleader girl.

"Its fine. Hey, you're the girl who saved me from that nerd." She said.

"That's me. Averman is a little unrealistic when it comes to girlfriends. Meaning he expects to get one." I said as we laughed.

"Yeah. Well, we better get going. Come on Lanni." Banks said.

"Alright bye.... I didn't catch your name." I said.

"It's Amelia." She said.

"Okay. Bye Amelia." I said then we skated off.

As we were about to enter Banksy fell on me.

"Ow." I said laughing.

"Sorry." He said.

"What is this?" Averman asked. We jumped up.

"Nothing." I said quickly.

"Uh huh. Sure." He said.

"Oh shut up Averman." Adam said. I laughed and we went inside.

"Race you to my dorm!" I said then skated off. He caught up to me and I was just about to beat him. Yes! I win.
"Ha ha." I said.

"Whatever. Bye Alana. I and fun." He said.

"Me too. Bye." I said then he kissed me on the cheek. I blushed. Then I went inside.
