I never thought I would get along with humans but it worked out in the end, they were nice, and even if they get criticized, they will push through it to prove them wrong. In other words, they gained my trust.

In the morning...

Nikki: Good morning world! *yawns from her bed*

Then someone knocks at my door.

Nikki: Who is there? Brooks? Is it you?

He opened it and he comes in.

Brooks: Yep, she is showering.

Brooks: I heard that bathroom door when I left the room.

Cross: Good morning, here's your breakfast. *gives her a plate with food*

They always make me so important than themselves that they gave me a complete breakfast, Bread with Peanut Butter And OJ
while they are eating just toast for breakfast. I guess I was wrong about humans...

Nikki: Wow, this is good bread.

Brooks: Hehe, see Cross? I knew we should go to that place every time when we need bread.

Cross: Yeah, yeah you win.

Nikki: Wait you bought this?

Cross: Yeah.

Brooks: Not too far from here. It's called "The Bread Breed".

Brooks: So. Any plans for today Nikki?

Nikki: Not much really. How bout you two?

Brooks: Since we don't have much to do in this apartment, you should tour us around Inkopolis.

Nikki: Wait for what? You two don't know the awesome places around there?

Cross: Oh, I wish I could. *slightly sarcastic*

Nikki: Well, what are you waiting for? Come on let's go!

Brooks: Lemme just wear our disguises real quick.

Nikki: For what? As far as I know, disguises don't look fresh, people will look at you. Plus with me? That's gonna get attention.

Brooks: Like you are famous are something. Last time we went there almost no one noticed us, so just shut it and we'll be quick.

Cross: That sounded so conceited. Better tone that down dude.

Nikki: Whatever you two. *frustrated*

They finished dressing up, plus they looked ugly AF, I showed them around the square like the Inkopolis Tower, Ammo Knights, which they already knew about. And others.

Brooks: Ughh... I'm hungry, I knew that toast wasn't enough... Nikki.

Nikki: What is it?

Brooks: Any suggestions for a place to eat?

Nikki: There's a fast-food chain nearby. Just under the Squid Sisters Studio.

Cross: I see it. Plus, by the way. Are the Squid Sisters still on the TV in Inkopolis?

Nikki: Well, they do still but not as often. The plaza is kind of losing its life here.

Brooks: That's terrible no wonder it's kinda losing some people.

Nikki: Yeah, but I stuck with this place.

Cross: Why? There are more places that this right?

Nikki: I still need to help my crew out from being broke.

Brooks: Okay... I see, let's eat first and talk about that when we are going home.

Brooks said that he was worried about our own crew. He's a great person to be with even for a human.

At the restaurant...

Brooks: *opens the door* Hmm.. It's not a bad place I must say...

Nikki: It's a pretty good restaurant still.
*walks up to the counter*

Cashier: Hello miss! How may I help you today?

Nikki: I'll get a Dumpling Bucket and Large Fries And 3 Drinks, please?

Brooks: *scared for his money* ... (Jeebus she might kill our wallets.)

Cashier: Thank you for ordering here! Your receipt. *hands it over*

Nikki: Thank you! *grabs the food tray and walks away*

We went to our seats to eat upon, and while we were waiting we talked about some random stuff.

Brooks: While we wait, tell us about your crew, please?

Nikki: Okay, it started with.

Flashback... (A-kun: Or Is It A Vietnam Flashback?)

Nikki: Guys! What is happening here?

Bro #1: Those... Inklings... They took all our weapons. And we are all wounded here. *holds it's wound*

Nikki: Don't worry I'll find someone to help us just wait for a little more! *runs*

Bro #1: Please... Come back...

10 minutes later...

Nikki: I'm here! I got medical assistance!

Bro #1: Thanks.. *gets carried to the ambulance*

Bro #2: Thank you, sis. *gets carried to dem vehicle*

Bro #3: Sorry... Nikki... I don't really think I can make it in time... *smiles*

Nikki: NO! You are gonna be alive after this!

Bro #3: Thank you, Nikki. For all the times we won.. I won't forget you.. *loses heartbeat*

Nikki: NOOOOO!!!! *screams on the top of her lungs* *holds him* *crying*

End Flashback...

Brooks: Wow... Now that's a moment that will scar you for life right there.

Nikki: Yeah, so I played turf war to raise my money to help them for the medical treatments.

Waiter: *walks up to our table* Here's your extra dumplings, ladies and gentlemen. *puts down our food* Glad to serve. *walks away*

Cross: Well, let us eat now.. *starts eating*

Brooks's P. O. V

Wow... What a terrible past. Well, just like mine, something tells me I should help her, from that terrible accident, to be finally happy.

We finished our dinner and started to walk back home... And I started to ask Nikki this...

Brooks: Nikki. *in a serious tone*

Nikki: Huh? Brooks? Something wrong?

Brooks: I have a request to say to you when we get home.

Cross: Huh, what's going on?

Nikki: Well if you say so, Brooks...

We got home, dressed back to our casual clothes, and I went to Nikki's room.

Brooks: Nikki? Are you here?

Nikki: Yeah I'm here. What do you want to say to me?

Brooks: Since I heard that past of yours, I made a decision.

Nikki: Uh-huh. What is it?

Brooks: Me and Cross are gonna join your crew...

Nikki: What?! Are you serious? *happy and surprised*

Brooks: Yes. *smiles*

Nikki: *starts tearing up* Are you for sure? *sobbing*

Brooks: Yes I'm sure. *hugs Nikki*

I hugged her. She was kinda small compared to me, but I know that she felt better when I hugged her.

And there's that. I joined her crew, known her on a more personal level, and one question remains in my mind. "Will They Accept Me?"
