Another morning, another breath. I woked up late because of yesterday's craziness...

Brooks:*wakes up* Huh?! I am late, am I? *looks at the clock* yep, 9:00 AM...

Meanwhile at Inkopolis Plaza...

Cross's P. O. V

I gone to Ammo Knights to buy a new weapon I used to love, but I lost my touch with it, so I'm buying it to gain my advantage I once had with this weapon, it the Octobrush. 

A-kun: TOTAL REMINDER: This is the Splatoon 1 Octobrush...

Cross: I can't wait to use this thing again...

Nikki's P. O. V

Why is Cross out? Did he need to buy something? He knows too well that I can't cook.. He better come back before Brooks is awake...

Then Brooks just had to wake up at the worst possible time.

Brooks:*opens his bedroom door* Hmmm? *sees Nikki* Nikki? What's for breakfast?

Nikki: Well, you see...

Then Cross came back, at the perfect time to not embarrass myself for not knowing how to cook.

Cross: Hey guys! What's going on? Oh! *sees Brooks* good morning bro!

Nikki: *sighs in relief*...

Brooks: Good morning to you too bro! What's for breakfast?

Cross: You were late. Me and Nikki ate outside, I guess you need to cook your own thing yourself.

Nikki: Is that an Octobrush you're holding?

Cross: Yeah, I was using this a lot back then...

Brooks: Now, what do I cook? We don't have much in the pantry.

Cross: Don't worry I bought more just now too. You can cook whatever you like...

Brooks: Yeah cool. Just wait for me before we go to a Turf War.

Nikki: Just be quick.

Brooks: Look here, there's so much time. Don't rush it.

Nikki: Fine, I'll wait for you. And lemme try your cooking!

I made the dish that I always cook at home, Smoked Fish with Veggies in it.

After a while...

Brooks: And, here! I'm done. *puts the food in a plate*

Nikki: This looks good! Can I eat it? *hungry*

Brooks: And I thought you already ate with Cross earlier.

Nikki: Come on now, this is my first time eating this.

Brooks: Yeah, cool go ahead. Just leave some for me... I'm gonna take a shower from that smokey dish. *walks to his room*

Nikki's P. O. V

The dish that Brooks made smells good already, and I hadn't taken a bite yet.

Nikki: *bites* ... (it's a little hot but it's really good, so he can cook?)

I ate more of it, but he's not taken his breakfast yet so I need to save some for him.

Nikki: That was great! *puts the plate in the sink*

Then I checked on Brooks...

Nikki: Brooks? Are you good yet?

He responded with a muffled tone.

Brooks: Not yet Nikki! A little bit more.

Nikki: I trust you, you still have a breakfast to eat.

Brooks: I know..

Nikki: Okay, I'll be watching TV... *leaves*

Brooks's P. O. V

I finished dressing up and grabbed my weapon of choice today, Rapid Blaster Pro.

Brooks: *leaves his room* Oh hey Nikki, did you left some for me?

Nikki: *nods*...

Brooks: Okay, just wait a bit more. Please wait...

I ate as fast as I can so I won't keep Cross and Nikki waiting more and I finished eating, drank water.

A-kun: He's human... He's immune to that crap.

Brooks: Nikki, I'm good now. Let's go!

Nikki: Good, and Brooks, before we go out.

Brooks: Huh?

Nikki: Uhm, we are going to go to Ranked Battles.

Brooks: Uh sure cool but you need to teach me how the hell those modes work there...

Outside the apartment, walking to Inkopolis Plaza...

Nikki: I got you, I'm an A+ rank!

Brooks: Not S rank yet? What a noob. 

Nikki: You haven't done anything yet to give you the authority to say that. 

Brooks: For some reason, I want to try that mode that gets on the "Tower" or something? *ignores the statement*

Nikki: Oh, Tower Control? Well, you have a Rapid Blaster so I think you'll do good at it.

Brooks: I don't know. If that's in the rotation of modes today...

Nikki: Let's go now, we can't make Cross wait any longer... *starts jogging to Inkopolis*

Brooks: Okay, right behind you! *follows Nikki*

At Inkopolis Plaza...

Cross's P. O. V

What's taking them so long? I already took this Octobrush to the Shooting Range and I finished and still not here... What are those 2 idiots doing??

Then they showed up. Great. Totally called it... I'm starting to lose my cool here...

Brooks: *sees Cross* Hey Cross! Sorry for waiting for you for so long.

Nikki: It's his fault.

Cross: Ugh, let's just go to Turf War.

Nikki: Uh we are not playing Turf War, we are going to Ranked...

Cross: Oh, Competitive?

Nikki: Yeah, so you better get ready!

Cross: You sound confident, what rank are you?

Nikki: A+.

Cross: That's pretty good, how more wins to S?

Nikki: Well, I didn't play competitively since I started to save up money for my crewmates. So I think I'm still at the starting point at my lowest point.

Brooks: Let's stop rambling and let's get to a Private Room and gear up.

Nikki: Let's go! *excited*

Cross: *nods*....

Inside the Inkopolis Tower...

Nikki's P. O. V

I picked an Aerospary RG so I can use my Inkstrike to the tower and get some splats and keeping enemies off the tower...

Speaker: All Inklings! Get ready in 20 seconds. Don't leave anything behind here, we are not responsible for any personal loss...

And we showed up at Kelp Dome, my least favorite place to play Tower Control...

3... 2.... 1.....  GO!!!

I went to Booyah before we go out. So atleast we have teamwork here.

Cross's P. O. V

I went in and splatted one Inkling and the other one was in the grates and killed me. My over-confidence is getting me splatted...

Brooks P. O. V

I saw Cross get splatted and the other team got the tower. Crap, I won't let this happen this long...

I went in and used my Seeker and got one and I went to shoot the top of the tower a d got another kill.

Nikki's P. O. V

I guess Brooks he's doing really good. Crap, I should have used the Rapid Blaster too.

Cross: Hey Nikki! This way! *call-out*

Nikki: Okay! What's the plan here? *arrives*

Cross: Currently Brooks he's in the tower and we need to use our specials to protect him...

Nikki: I get it, let's go then.

Brooks P. O. V

I used my special, Inkzooka and soon as I  show up out on the corner someone with a charger splatted me...

Brooks: *respawns*Ugh... I got a quad on that...

Meanwhile at Cross and Nikki's spot...

Nikki: He's gone now. Should I?

Cross: Don't until someone else goes there...

Then someone took the tower and I used my Inkstrike. To take them off the tower itself.

And then Cross used his special, Inkzooka a and got a double kill immediately...

Cross: Ha! EZ!

Then I used my Inkstrike and got on the tower at the same time to put more pressure...

I didn't see Brooks since the start of the match. I wonder what he's doing?

Brooks's P. O. V

I realized earlier that sneaking in might be a better idea now since I got splatted WAY too many times

A-kun: LOOK AT DIS DOOD!

Brooks: *activates special*...

I started to blast people with this Inkzooka until I get splatted and I got one, two, and it. But, if this thing wasn't a stupid "Game", I would just shoot and hide...

Our, well, MY strategy worked. And my first ranked battle ever is a W? I won't ask for more...

THAT'S A WRAP!!!

Well, that was quicker than I expected.

Later...

Nikki: *gets out of the tower* YAY! We won! And I'm slowly getting my S rank!

Brooks: Well, that was pretty quick.

Cross: I know...

Nikki: You're still low rank so you still suck.

Brooks: Wow, that was uncalled for...

Nikki: Well, wanna eat?

Brooks: Yeah! *excited*

Nikki: Let's go then! *runs*

That was a pretty good evening to have a try at Ranked. I must say, that was pretty quick but I'm not done yet. 

Not done until I'm 'finally finished'.
