Wow, I can't believe I actually finished that. I've been posting it since February, but writing it since November of last year. I can still post on this if anyone has an idea for a different POV or something that happened to Lori in her old universe, or anything that needs to be resolved (I believe Keefe still holds an unlimited dare over Dex). And I might come back to this later so we can see things like Lori and Dex fighting for equality for everyone in the Lost Cities as adults.

I've already started writing my next fanfic, but it's not for KotLC (though I could work on another one for that if anyone has any ideas). It's Inheritance Games x PJO, and it's reader x Xander. I like to write out a decent chunk of it before starting to publish it, so it might not be out for a while.

And here's a few fun facts about the process of actually WRITING my first fanfic (I've had a LOT more in my head that I just don't share)

1. Sophie and Lori were supposed to be rivals, who only pretended to get along for Grady and Edaline. It might show a little in the very beginning, but I think I passed it off as just shyness, since I decided not to do that pretty quickly after starting.

2. It used to be a Dex x reader story, but in my head, my name was Lori, so I decided to change it to that.

3. I had absolutely no plans for 90% of the book and only a vague idea of what the plot would be.

4. It was supposed to end on a cliffhanger with the Dex from the other universe surviving and building another machine to get to Lori, but I decided that it was a dumb idea and didn't do it, so I had no plan for the ending (hence the reason the last few chapters are just fluff)

5. I was going to make a sequel following the events of Unlocked and Stellarlune so we can see how Lori fit into that, and I'd still be willing to if anybody wants to read it.

6. I did not plan for it to bleed into Unlocked, but similar things happen, with Magnate Leto magically knowing that Keefe would manifest a new ability for his Legacy. And his mom telling them to give him a Polyglot test. Oops. I wrote a lot of it while I was waiting for Unlocked from my library, and I didn't want to worry about fitting what I had already written into that, so I just tried to ignore that they happened. Then I may have accidentally spoiled it for people who haven't read Unlocked yet. Sorry.

7. I have noticed several plot holes that I don't know how to fill, but nobody has noticed them yet, so I won't point them out. But I will give you a hint. They exist because Lori's not an enhancer.

8. Lori was going to be an enhancer, but I decided not to, and I can't remember why. And I had an idea of what would happen if Sophie and Lori enhanced each other. Together, they could enhance a bunch of people holding hands in a circle, and there was going to be an epic battle against the Neverseen with everyone in the group getting enhanced. The Neverseen wouldn't stand a chance.

9. I still have ideas for if they ever have a battle with the Neverseen like when Lori and Dex were rescued, but they're all conscious.

10. I realize that I forgot to even mention a lot of characters, and that's mostly just my lazy writing, so here's a list of characters I was just too lazy to write: Jensi, all bodyguards except Ro (and one scene with Sandor), Glimmer. I think that's all, but lmk if I missed any others.
