I ran down the stairs yelling his name, calling out for Okada but he was gone and so was my will to stay conscious.

I awaken in a bed, a blue background with orange fish wallpaper. Empty shelves and barely anything except books. Flashes of blue and red lights in my mind."Hello?" a man with blonde hair says while reading a book. He's on another bed beside mine, "hello... you are?" He places a bookmark in his book "I'm currently your babysitter, I work for your sister Arti" he sighs and stands "let me go get the bandages really quick" he leaves the room. I sat up and grunted in pain I threw the covers beside me.

Where is Okada? The only thing, I can think of. I immediately stood up, leaning on the bedside table. My right calf was wrapped in bandages. My body struggled to keep balance, I trembled with each step. Opening the door to see the man, my sister, the sheriff, and five other people.

"What's going on, where is Okada?" leaning on the door frame my sister looked worried and looked away towards the fire. No one says anything, I go back into the room, and met with the reflection of myself in the window. I think about the town and how long I've hated how boring this is place. And how many cases were overlooked. With all the judgmental looks I'm done. I look around the room, before opening the window and running away. It rains thundering loudly, looking like little specks of lights in the foggy sky. I stopped catching my breath, The man yelled for me to come back from the hill above. I disobey his orders and ran into the forest barefoot.

Running farther into the forest moving through the trees. The harsh rain makes I make me feel more alive... I stop to catch my breath growls come from behind me. I freeze and slowly turn my head. A lightning bolt strikes. A beastly beast no eyes It howls. I run, I can hear Its pounding steps behind me. It's too big to be a wolf. The vermin bloody creature charges at me close          Way too close. My legs start to ache, Each breath burns. The creature charges again scratching my backside. It jumps for me I slip falling into a water hole. The thing watching me fall. The water is dark and thick, something grabs me. Its grip pulls me down until it is all I can see. What is that? Light emits from the being's eye sockets swirling throughout its exposed ribcage, mostly covered with seaweed. The creature opened its mouth charging for my neck. I push away swooshing my arms. Tearing away from it swimming up. Everything starts to become darker...

I loudly gasp, reaching the surface. Coughing water up, I keep my eyes closed swimming towards the rocky jagged gravel. Blood drains out leaking down my shirt. I lay groaning at the insufferable pains my body echoed. Crawling to a tree, I close my eyes.

Waking up to a humid day, I look towards the water and flinch at the small group of fish men. They all look different. Some look more like frogs, sharks, and skeletons. I stand wobbling my ankle still hurting from the night before. I look around to exit but it's across on the other side of the water hole. One of the fish men comes forward with blue hair and gills. As well as small light blue accents on his body. He stands tall, his gills flick out " Who are you? " His breathy raspy breath makes me cringe. My brows furrowed from the uneasiness "I...I"

My eyes teared up; my body has become too weak. I push yet to no avail. BANG The man fell on me, his head blown by a shotgun. We dropped on the gravel. The rest of the fish men flap around swooshing and splashing the water, disappearing into the murky waters. "Julien! Julien are you down there?!" My eyes filled with hot burning tears His yelling wasn't clear everything faded "how could I be so stupid ..." Lying in bed wrapped in bandages my brother lives in a cabin out in the woods. Krelle caressed my hand "You weren't stupid, you just gotta be careful next time" he paused and looked away and smiled towards the window. A simple man my brother is, but his eyes filled with worry when he looked down on me. "Julien, we need to leave ... People in town think you murdered Okada". He fixed his glasses and sighed "I know you loved Okada. -" "Stop" I bit down on my lip making it bleed They'd say that about me...? 

"I'll be outside if you need anything, everything is packed so we're just waiting for the medicine to sink in" I nod and chuckle at his cute quirky hand gestures. "What's so funny?!" Krelle says rasing an eyebrow "you," I say Krelle scoffs shaking his head before leaving.
