🦔meeting?🦔

The casino was closing, people were finishing up.

I walk past the bar going down a hallway.  As I unlocked my locker a sunflower fell out. What's this a sunflower?  I thought to myself. I picked the beautiful flower up. I sniffed it and my nose was filled with the sweet smell of crisp summer air. Dazed by the aroma, a green caterpillar scares me. I shriek then burst out laughing. Laughing turned to chuckles.  I hold the sunflower to see if there's anything else "Weird ..." I said to myself suddenly a glass breaks, in another room. I grab my bag and pulled out my gun. Turning off the light, I slowly creep towards the hallway. Stopping in the light, coming from main room of the casino. I hear steps quiet but loud "halt! leave now or take your chances," "Why would I take my chances with such... a pretty sunflower" "state your business or leave" "so..." he reaches out to play with a piece of my hair I grab his wrist "You don't know me like that" I keep eye contact, starring back fiercely. A moment of silence, he charges at me. Slamming me against the floor, fastening his grip around my throat. I gasp trying to move, I punch his face his grip loosening I shoot his face the bullet only grazing his cheek. I throw him off me, making a run towards the door. I run, running to get as far as away as I can from that thing. I pull out a cloak, putting it over my cold body. I see Okada ahead of me "Hey! Okada!" I walk up "Can I stay at yours tonight, I don't- feel safe right now..." I hold my arms together shivering, in the cold. "Okay but we better hurry, I don't wanna be out here any longer." Okada is a nice, I'm glad to have him as a friend. He was probably the first person I talked to, when I moved here with my parents and brother, to live in our grandfather's house. Once me and Krelle were of age to live on our own. We stayed here and our parents left to travel.

We arrived at Okada's apartment "there's extra blankets in the closet over there I'll be in the shower if you need anything, you can take a shower after me"
"Okay I will, and thank you Okada, I mean it"
"No problem! I don't really get much company anyways...."
He leaves the room and I'm left alone again

I sigh and rub my face, laying all over the small blue couch, I get back up and pace around the room.

I stop and go up to the balcony window, seeing a sunflower at the floor. I scope the room. I need to calm down, I take deep breaths. "Hey Julien! the couch is small so if you want you can sleep in here, but I'm done" Okada's hair still wet. "Cool thanks, I guess I can shower now?" I walk over to him he's blocking the way we stare at each other in silence "what's the secret password..." I look at him still with that childish smirk. "Wine because you still smell like it" His expression changed from a lighthearted smirk to disgusted. "It was sunflower because you're sweet as one," He sighed "Maybe since I let you stay, you could grab something from your sister's bakery tomorrow. I said I would pick it up, but I promised Chino that I'd fix her fence tomorrow" he sighed and beg me to please pick it up tomorrow being over dramatic as ever. "Fine fine!, I'll pick it up if you let me shower!" he lets go of my hands and still blocked the way

"Julien" he started "Yes...?" just wanting to shower at this point. He removes his hands from the door frame his voice cracks lighting the mood. "You don't have to tell me, but you seemed really frightened when ...you...approached me could you enlighten me, on what happened?" I'd caught sight of his glance. Simply staring at each other, I break away from our locked eyes. Reaching down my wrist I start to fiddle with my hands, avoiding having this conversation. I took sight of him and ran my hand through my hair and exhaled "I really can't get anything past you, can I?" he softly chuckled scratching his jawline "Nope, and I can't get anything past you, we know each other to well"

"I think I just fought a vampire" ending the explanation, he looked completely dazed turning into worry. "What if it happens again? Should we notify the deputy sheriff?" I stared at Okada in silence. He hugged me, "I'm glad you're alive" he whispered in my ear.

The silent night laid still. Okada went to bed; I watched the moon from the balcony window. Laying my head back, my eyelids become heavy I start to remember the times me and Okada were younger, running around the old community garden. The state it's in now... Grandpa if he was still alive would probably be shocked at how unkept it is.
