Stinkerbelle's Revenge: Part Two

Annabelle's POV
They stare at me with the strangest look on their face, as if I'd come from outer space. And the truth is, I'm not surprised. I've come to the conclusion that I'll never be able to become a duchess one day in England so therefore I should give them some respect. I've honestly never been that polite to them, although I'm sure they're all aware of that.
Cassidy glares at me. "What in the world? How are you even here?"
I'm flustered. "Well I'm obviously not a projection, am I?"
Sophie says quickly, "Annabelle, you never acted this was when it was just the two of us hanging out. Why act like this now, especially with the rest of the book club?"
I choose to ignore her question, and now I've forgotten all about my thoughts of being nice to them. These pathetic girls are now giving me a headache. I turn to Emma. "Oh is that what this is? Book club! Wow, I wouldn't have seen anything more pathetic that that coming! Then again, you girls are all pretty nerdy, aren't you?"
Becca and Megan turn a bright shade of pink, and I know I've hit a weak spot in them. Cassidy is the tougher one to break down. If only I could find her own weak spot...
Jess looks at me, clearly trying to find the right words for this. But I beat her to talking. "Having trouble finding your words, Jess? You should ask Emma; I thought she was the one with words in this group."
"Alright that's it!" Cassidy exclaims. "I've seriously had had enough of you and your temperament inside my house! I suggest you leave now before I personally call over Stanley and ask him to drag you out himself!" She points at the door for more of a dramatic gesture.
I seize the opportunity as it allows it to say, "Oh is that his name? Stanley. Wonderful name! Though I find it's strange that you address your father by his first name!"
Cassidy turns a light shade of green, as if she was disgusted with me. I'm about to wonder why she reacted in such a way when I remember overhearing a conversation when I was coming into the house before. Mrs Sloane-Kinkaid was talking to someone on the phone. She told them a sentence that began with, "Ever since David has passed..." David must have been Cassidy's dad. I grin once I know exactly what's bothering her. It's time to fire back at her. "So Cassidy! I know you're dads not with us anymore, but I was wondering if he was the person who taught you hockey when you were younger?"
She goes pale at the mention of her father, and she fades into a daydream.
Mission accomplished, I think to myself. I've managed to emotionally hit all of them. My initial thoughts of offering peace with the group are now gone, because the Annabelle they've always known has come to stay. I've sacrificed my friendship with Sophie to be able to talk like that to them, so I just hope my decision turns out to be worth it in the long run.
I take the opportunity when everyone's silent to give them all one last grin as I leave the room. As I'm walking downstairs on my way to the front door, I pass by the kitchen where Mrs Sloane-Kinkaid seems to be making some sort of pie.
I smile at her. "Good day to you, Mrs Sloane-Kinkaid!" I say politely. "What are you making today?"
Apparently I surprised her because she drops the wooden spoon she was holding. She smiles back, "Oh just some good old apple pie! I'm almost done, actually. Just pass me the sugar on the table behind you, would you dear?"
She turns her back to me as she picks up the spoon she dropped on the floor. I act quickly. As she does so, I grab the bag of sugar and look inside. There's not a lot left. I put out the remaining sugar into a bag that's on the table and pour the salt into the bag to replace it.
I hand the bag of "sugar" to her. "Here you go!"
She tells me thanks as I'm practically leaving the house out the door.
A/N: hey guys! I know it's been so long since I've last updated! I'm so sorry for that! Let me know what you guys think of this chapter, because I have the feeling some of you are upset about the way Annabelle has been behaving.
