1) Hermits as the Newsies (does anyone else even know what this is?)

2) Hermits as cats/dogs/other pets at a pet store
    a) Xisuma/TFC/someone else adops ALL OF THEM.
    b) Shorter stories about different hermits being adopted (joe/cleo, boomers, zit, architechs, etc.)
    c) they have been transformed into animals and are under a spell- OMG WHY DO I ALWAYS TURN THINGS INTO ANGST-

3) Smaller idea: each hermit has a flower/color/gem they particularly like 
    a) someone could find a flower trail and follow it to find their friend (impulse finds a trail of rubies to Tango and FLUFF, Mumbo finds a trail of wither roses to Grian (watcher AU) and comforts him- why must angst creep in again-

4) Murder Mystery
    a) A hermit (let's be honest here, mumbo, bcz GRIANGST-) is found dead and they all suspect each other
    b) there are MULTIPLE killings (more like Among Us)
    c) Everyone is being killed
    d) outside force *cough cough WATCHERS cough EX cough cough* or... a Hermit?

5) Shapeshifters: Every hermit can transform into an animal that represents them (Ren: dog or wolf ofc) - actually, let's switch it up! Make Ren something else- how about a lion (king... sorry I'll leave) or an eagle?

6) Magical Hermits!!!
    a) Each hermit has an ATLA/LOK element
    b) HC Harry Potter AU
    c) Each hermit has unique powers

7) Every hermit has abilities based off a video game class (I'm thinking Diablo/WOW-type games) -  Think rogues (assassin, basically), druids, rangers (archers), sorcerer's/casters/wizards/mages, healers (stress), barbarians/paladins/crusaders/tanks, etc.

8) Your basic Sam story except not Sam- Grian gets kidnapped and the- ok you know what forget Grian: FALSE gets kidnapped except base it off of the incorrect quote "I have your friend/no you don't, they have YOU" and she beats up her jailer and escapes, and then is just SUPER casual about it, like "Oh, yeah, I just got kidnapped but I don't care because i'm a BOSS"
actually can someone write this because now i want to see it-

9) Cleo forces (actually, you know what would be fun, if she tricked them into it) all of the other hermits into being her servants except False and Stress.
They build a kingdom (actually literally, like a castle and other buildings around it, a legitimate kingdom). Cleo becomes king and makes False her queen (False/Cleo ship anybody?) and Stress their princess/prince/jester/healer/you choose (the idea is that she's doing it freely and she has a good job/position).
I might write this- but I kind of want to see what someone else would do with it.

10) What if...
    a)...Stress or False became mayor instead of Scar?
    b)...someone else (Scar?) led the Mycelium Resistance instead of Grian?
    c)...HEP won the Turf War?
    d) ...the Podzol people actually got serious support in the Turf War?
        i)...and actually won the Turf War?
    e)....the Turf War never happened?
    f)....the people involved were different? (What if Cub joined the Resistance? What if Ren sided with HEP?)
        i) the roles were REVERSED and the Resistance wanted grass and HEP was ACTUALLY protecting the environment and fighting for mycelium?

I may do more of these later.
