(AU) More superheroes but with way more detail than needed

This AU has consumed my life and i'm not even writing anything with it.
(i have zero intentions to write any oneshots/fics in it, despite how much detail i've put in)

AU Notes
so not all the hermits/dsmp members/empires people are here. this is because a) i don't know them well enough or b) i have literally no clue what their power should be.

this is like a modern city au except it's not because they all use medieval-style  blades/bows/magic. so... as usual it's this weird mix of minecraft, modern life, and medieval times. 

Hermitcraft is basically a magical secret hideout. To get in, you need to promise that you won't tell anyone how to get there OR use magic with harmful intentions while inside. Not all the hermits are part of in, in fact most aren't. Here's a basic description of the space:

"a bustling room the size of an entire large store. Walkways and perches hang from large beams above by thin but clearly strong cables. Climbing holds and various platforms creep up the walls. Arches on the ground level lead off to separate rooms, the most noticeable of which are a mechanic's shop, an atrium, and a room that looks more like an office."

i even have a storyline thought out for this au and it goes like this


Despite the large number of magical people populating the world, they are still often shunned, hated, and mistrusted. People fear that which they cannot understand, and magic tends to be one of those things.

Even magic-users contribute to this sometimes, although usually unknowingly. But there is one famous magic-user who knowingly exploits magic-users.

His name is Dream, and he is called a hero.

Most are unaware of his dark secret; of the children he keeps chained in his basement. Very few know of it, and those are very particular people indeed.

Dream's main opponent is a team of villains known as SBI. This group despises Dream, having adopted one of Dream's traumatized children themselves, and have vowed to get vengeance on this man and free the children.

Separately, there is a group of vigilantes known as the Hermits. They live together and constantly fight a foe known as Watcher, who leads a small band of outcasts who call themselves Boatem. Watcher too knows of Dream's schemes, but does not particularly care about it.

Watcher's main goal is to take out the Hermits, for that will leave him free to do as he wishes without them stopping him. To do this, he has enlisted the help of one of the hermits, who is all-too-happy to betray the Hermits for Watcher.

Watcher attacks, and thinking they are safe in their home of Hermitcraft, they are defeated and driven out. They scatter and go off to do other things. Some stay on their own, continuing to uphold Hermitcraft's mission of defeating crime. Some join the Peacekeepers, the city's renowned hero team.

Soon, Watcher begins to act. He gathers lone villains to him and convinces vigilantes to turn to his side. It all happens in the shadows, so none truly know what is happening. The heroes see an uptick in crime and are uneasy, but do not find anything strange happening, because Watcher does not want them to.

Watcher enlists as many as he can before turning to SBI. He offers numbers and support and the chance to take down Dream. In return, SBI will provide assistance and join Watcher. It is not a hard choice; all villains want the same thing out of this.

They want to take down the heroes and leave themselves free to rule. They want government toppled and Dream dead. No one trusts heroes anymore because of Dream.

The villains launch a citywide attack and finally the heroes have to see what is happening. Are they too late?

Will they prevent the destruction of law and order, or will the streets be plunged into darkness and chaos?


That got long. Anyways, I have both quick and long profiles for everyone, so here we go- oh wait right weapons!

Dagger - "Poet's Weapon." Typically dagger-wielding characters are smart, skilled, and not usually the ones to directly fight you. They will try to talk you out of fighting/use words first before resorting to their daggers. Alternatively used as a backup weapon by mages/lightly armored ranged-style magicians in case their magic fails them.

Dual Daggers - Dual-dagger wielders are often similar to dagger-wielders, but use them more often and quicker. They tend to be fast, agile, and light, usually assassins or those with more elemental magic (void, ice, water). Dual-dagger wielders tend to fall under the category of rogues, cunning and sneaky.

Light Sword - Light sword wielders usually use them directly in battle. They don't rush in or seek out fights, but they will fight eagerly. They tend to have less need for a weapon, and light swords usually take less space and weight if the wielder needs to travel lightly. They lean more towards the "dancing, dodging" aspect of swordplay.

Sword - Simplest weapon, normal sword-wielders are casual streetfighters or beginners. Most who master the basic sword move on to a light or heavy sword, depending on their usage of it.

Heavy Sword - Used by heavy melee fighters, wielders of a heavy sword are accordingly heavy-hitting, blunt attackers, typically larger stature and more prone to fights.

Axe - These people are simply brutal, merciless killers. They don't fight for glory, but for power and satisfaction. Proficient axe-wielders are held in awe and fear, since they are difficult weapons to master. These people tend to be harsh and sadistic.

Bow + Arrow: Similar to dual dagger wielders; agile, skilled, sneaky. They often don't have very strong magic or tend to be very similar to dual-dagger wielders. The two often mix, with someone using both as they need.

Other - Tech/Magic wielders don't use these weapons because they have no need.
