NO ONE'S POV:

(Karli & some Flag Smashers are shown as a reporter announces breaking news. Which is there's a complete lockdown at the GRC meeting in Lower Manhattan where authorities are saying they're tracking multiple threats from groups seeking to stop the GRC's vote on global resettlement. The senators are shown in the vote room looking confused. Cut to Sam flying in as Bucky walks amongst the chaos.)

Sam: (OVER RADIO) I'm almost there.

Bucky: What's the plan?

Sam: (OVER RADIO) Karli's gotta be close. Keep your eyes open.

Bucky: Well, it could be anybody.

Sam: (OVER RADIO) Is (Y/N) here yet?

Bucky: I haven't seen him...

(Y/N walks beside Bucky & pats him on the back.)

(Y/N): Right here, White Wolf.

Bucky: Oh, good.

Sam: (OVER RADIO) Where have you been?

(Y/N): Sokovia. Had some family business to attend to.

Flashback
Lower Manhattan

(Y/N & Yelena are standing beside the jet.)

Yelena: I'm sure Natasha will be happy to hear how you've been spending your time without her.

(Y/N): [chuckles] Probably. Until our next team up, Yelena.

(Y/N begins to walk away.)

Yelena: (Y/N)!

(Y/N stops & turns to his sister in law.)

Yelena: I know Natasha left and gave you a very vague reasoning for it but trust me, it's worth it.

(Y/N): I'll take your word on it, Yelena.

(Y/N walks away from Yelena as she walks inside the jet.)

End Of Flashback

(Bucky & Y/N are let through by some officers.)

Sam: (OVER RADIO) And by the way, I called in some backup.

(A man gets Bucky & Y/N's attention but then takes their face off, revealing to be Sharon.)

Sharon: It's me.

(Y/N): Hey.

Bucky: Sharon, what the hell are you doing here?

Sharon: Relax. No one's looking for me here. And thanks for your concern, (Y/N).

(Y/N): You may not hear it from my voice but I am very cornered for you, Sharon.

Sam: (OVER RADIO) Do I hear Sharon?

Bucky & (Y/N): Unfortunately.

Sharon: Hey, Sam. I thought I'd get the band back together.

Sam: (OVER RADIO) Thank you. You're risking a lot coming here.

Sharon: I hear pardons aren't really all they're cracked up to be anyway.

Bucky: Depends on the therapist.

(Y/N): Do all pardons come with therapy?

Sam: (OVER RADIO) They're gonna move on the building soon. Be ready.

(Sam flies overhead & Karli sees him causing her to enact her plan. The Flag Smashers in the room with the senators throw something that smokes them out into another room where they're met by another Flag Smasher. Sam flies by, & throws the shield through the window which knocks the Flag Smasher down. Sam flies through the window & makes his entrance with a new suit.)

(Sam takes the Flag Smasher's mask off to see that it's not Karli.)

Captain America: Sharon, Bucky, (Y/N), what's going on your end?

(Cut to the trio walking along the building.)

Bucky: Nothing. All quiet.

Wolverine: I don't smell anything.

Sharon: No one's moving toward the building.

(Cut back to Sam in the building.)

Captain America: Karli's not coming in. She's trying to force everybody out.

(The trio make their way inside the building as Sam faces off with Baltroc.)

Captain America: You guys are gonna have to do something.

(Cut to the trio entering the building.)

Captain America: (OVER RADIO) Don't let 'em out of the building.

(When Y/N walks through the metal detector, it goes off because of his adamantium skeleton. Sharon & Bucky look at him.)

Wolverine: Happens every time.

(Bucky spots one of the Flag Smashers.)

Bucky: Here's one of them. (Y/N) and I will get the evac.

(Sharon watches a Flag Smasher walk down some stairs. Cut to Bucky & Y/N walking down a hallway.)

Woman: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Maximoff, it's Karli.

(They look at each other as Bucky grabs the phone & answers it on speaker.)

Bucky: Karli?

Karli: Aren't either of you tired of fighting for the wrong side?

Bucky: [scoffs] I've done this before, kid.

(Y/N): As have I.

Bucky: So we know how it ends.

Karli: It doesn't matter if I don't survive this. I'm fighting for something bigger than myself. With the combined numbers between the two of you, have you been able to say the same?

Bucky: You don't think I ever fought for something bigger than myself? That's all I ever tried to do. And I failed twice.

(Y/N): I was one of the people who brought everyone back...ungrateful bit-

(Cut to the senators being evacuated into a vehicle where the Flag Smasher following them locks the back doors. Cut to Sam & Baltroc still fighting. Cut back to Bucky & Y/N still on the phone with Karli as the vehicles with senators drive off.)

Bucky: You think your cause justifies all this death, but in the end, the nightmares won't go away. You're gonna remember all the ones you killed. Trust me. Don't do this. Don't go down this path.

Karli: If that's how you feel, you should sit this one out. I won't bother telling the Wolverine to sit this one out because I know it's pointless.

Wolverine: You're smarter than you look.

Bucky: Come on, you know I ain't gonna do that.

Karli: Well, thank you. I'm glad you took my call. You've both been a big help.

(Karli hangs up as Bucky & Y/N realize what she was doing & run to their motorcycles. Sharon overhears the Flag Smasher that locked the backdoors of the senator's evac vehicles that their ETA is six minutes.)

Sharon: Seriously, the two of you had one job.

(Cut to Bucky & Y/N getting onto their motorcycles.)

Bucky: You worry about your guy.

Wolverine: We're human, okay?

(They ride off after the evac vehicles. Sharon takes care of the Flag Smasher in the parking lot. Cut to a helicopter landing pad where other senators are hopping onto a helicopter with a Flag Smasher pilot.)

Sharon: You better speed things up, Sam. The chopper's about to take off.

(Cut to Sam still fighting Baltroc.)

Captain America: Bucky! (Y/N)!

(Cut to the duo riding down an alley on their motorcycles.)

Wolverine: Seriously?

Bucky: I don't fly, man. That's your thing.

(Sam creates space from Baltroc, jumps out of the window, & flies after the helicopter. Cut to Karli & some Flag Smashers talking about how the rest of their plan is going to play out. Karli's even prepared to kill the hostages if need be. Sam rescues some police helicopter pilots & goes back to flying after the helicopter. Karli and the Flag Smashers stop the evac vehicles & take care of their drivers. They're about to drive away but before they can, Bucky & Y/N jump off their motorcycles & Bucky starts fighting a Flag Smasher as Y/N walks towards Karli & the rest of the Flag Smashers.)

Karli: We need a diversion. Give them someone to rescue.

(One of the Flag Smashers sets one of the evac vehicles on fire.)

Wolverine: Oh, shit!

(Y/N runs to the vehicle as does Bucky after taking care of the Flag Smasher he was fighting.)

Bucky: Hold on!

(Bucky tries pulling the doors open but he's unable to because of the lock.)

Wolverine: Move!

*SKINT*

(Y/N pops three of claws & slashes the doors. His claws stop at the lock though.)

Wolverine: I...was not expecting that.

(Karli watches as Bucky & Y/N try to save the senators from the burning vehicle & is about to leave until...)

John: Morgenthau!

(Karli & the Flag Smashers turn & Face John as he walks towards them with his new shield.)

John: Let's finish this.

Karli: I didn't mean to kill your friend. I don't wanna hurt people that don't matter.

(John stops walking.)

John: You don't think Lemar's life mattered?

Karli: Not to my fight. I just want the people on that truck.

John: [screams]

(John throws his shield at Karli & she easily kicks it away. The Flag Smashers & John clash, ending up with the Flag Smashers beginning to overwhelm John.)

Wolverine: I should probably help Walker.

Bucky: Go!

(Y/N charges at the Flag Smasher with his claws drawn & slashes some of the Flag Smashers away from John.)

Flag Smashers: [yelps]

(Bucky's able to destroy the luck & rescue the senators & makes his way to Y/N & John. Unaware to Y/N, one of the Flag Smashers pulls a parking meter from the ground & is about to clock him in the head with it until Bucky punches it away from him. Bucky begins fighting that Flag Smasher as two Flag Smashers pull Y/N's arms to his sides as a third begins punching his face as if it's a punching bag.)

Wolverine: [grunts]

(Karli picks up the parking meter & swings wildly at Bucky who punches her away from him. But another Flag Smasher kicks Bucky into a construction site.)

Bucky: [grunts & screams]

Wolverine: [groans] Bucky!

(Bucky lands as a Flag Smasher jumps after him with a metal beam about to him but Bucky blocks it with his vibranium arm. Sam's able to rescue the senators on the helicopter with the help of one of them who can coincidentally fly a helicopter. Y/N, on the other hand, has gotten tired of being their punching bag.)

Wolverine: [angrily growls]

(Y/N breaks the grip of one of the Flag Smashers, stabs the Flag Smasher in the leg...)

Flag Smasher: [yelps]

(Y/N lifts the Flag Smasher by the leg with his claws & swings him into the other two Flag Smashers.)

Flag Smashers: [grunts]

(After this, Y/N watches John fight Karli.)

Wolverine: Kick her ass, John!

(After a brief fight between the two, Karli knocks out John & runs towards the vehicle still with senators in it.)

Wolverine: I think she forgot about me.

(Karli enters the vehicle & sees Y/N standing in front of it.)

Wolverine: Okay, Karli. What are you going to do?

(Karli steps on the gas, right for Y/N.)

Wolverine: Come on, I want you to do it, I want you to do it. Come on, hit me!

(Just as Karli's about to run Y/N over, he jumps onto the hood of the car & hangs on for the ride.)

Wolverine: [strained growling]

(Y/N stabs three of his claws into the window in front of Karli.)

Karli: [screams]

(Bucky continues to fight the Flag Smasher in the construction site as we cut back to Karli driving with Y/N trying to claw his way inside through the window or stab Karli. But she's able to jump out of the car...)

Karli: [grunts]

(Before sending the car & Y/N into the construction site where Bucky is.)

*CRASH*

Wolverine: Ah, fuck!

(Y/N slides off the hood &...)

*THUD*

(Lands on the ground.)

Wolverine: My back...

(People watch in horror as the vehicle begins creaking as if it's about to fall. John looks at the vehicle & Karli thinks about what he should do. Bucky & Y/N look up at the vehicle when it begins backing up & John's shield drops by them. Cut up to John pulling the vehicle back he doesn't pull it back for long as Karli & the Flag Smashers break his grip on the vehicle causing everyone to fall, including the vehicle. Thankfully, Sam catches it & pushes it back up with the help of Redwing. Bucky & Y/N help John up.)

(The crowd cheers as Karli throws a metal pipe at Bucky but he catches it. She's about to charge at him but Sam's shield comes in, knocks her down, & knocks out the Flag Smashers around her. Sam lands in front of Bucky, Y/N, & John as Karli gets up & takes her mask off.)

Karli: You of all people bought into that bullshit?

Captain America: I'm trying something different. Maybe you should do the same.

(Baltroc fires smoke bombs which gives Karli & the remaining Flag Smashers the chance to escape. Sam tracks them thanks to his google's thermal vision.)

Captain America: This way.

(Sam, Bucky, Y/N, & John chase after them.)

Bucky: Hey, Sharon. We're underground. We entered the tunnel on William. Heading south.

(Sam uses his google's thermal vision to see that the footprints split.)

Captain America: Looks like they split up. Here.

(John, Bucky, & Y/N go one way while Sam goes the other way. The trio find no one so they double back to Sam. Karli & Sharon talk where we learn that Sharon is the Power Broker. Baltroc walks in on their conversation where he blackmails Sharon for more money. Sharon ends up killing Baltroc & Karli shoots her. Sam comes in & stops her before killing Sharon. The two "fight" as we cut to John, Bucky, & Y/N meeting the three remaining Flag Smashers.)

John: "Mercy bears richer fruit than strict justice."

(Police arrive behind them as Bucky shows them his phone screen.)

Bucky: It's a great app.

Wolverine: I'll be sure to rate it five stars.

(The police surround the Flag Smashers.)

Bucky: Thank you.

(The trio walk away.)

Bucky: Lincoln, really?

John: Great man. Great quote.

Bucky: Not when you say it.

Wolverine: I thought you delivered it well.

(Cut to Sam holding Karli after Sharon shot her.)

Karli: [whispering] I'm sorry.

(Karli dies in Sam's arms. Cut to Sam placing Karli's body on a stretcher & talks to the senators as John, Bucky, & Y/N watch.)

Captain America: Are you still going forward with resetting the borders?

Lacont: Our peacekeeping troops will begin relocating people soon. The terrorists only set us back a bit.

Captain America: You have to stop calling them terrorists.

Male Senator: What else would we call them?

Captain America: Your peacekeeping troops carrying weapons are forcing millions of people into settlements around the world, right? What do you think those people are gonna call you? These labels, "terrorists," "refugee," "thug," they're often used to get around the question, why?

Lacont: Those settlements that happened five years ago, do you think it is fair for governments to have to support them?

Captain America: Yes.

Male Senator: And the people who reappeared only to find someone else living in their family home, they just end up homeless? Look, I get it. But you have no idea how complicated this situation is.

Captain America: You know what? You're right. And that's a good thing. We finally have a common struggle now. Think about that. For once, all the people who've been begging, and I mean, literally begging for you to feel how hard any given day is...Now you know. How did it feel to be helpless? Now if you could remember what it was like to be helpless and face a force so powerful it could erase half the planet, you would know that you're about to have the exact same impact. This isn't about easy decisions, Senator.

Male Senator: You just don't understand.

Captain America: [scoffs] I'm a Black man carrying the stars and stripes. What don't I understand? Every time I pick this thing up, I know there are millions of people who are gonna hate me for it. Even now, here...I feel it.

(Cut to Isaiah watching the news which is broadcasting what Sam is saying.)

Captain America: The stares, the judgement. And there's nothin' I can do to change it. Yet, I'm still here. No super serum, no blonde hair, or blue eyes. The only power I have is that I believe we can do better. We can't demand that people step up if we don't meet them halfway. Look, you control the banks. Shit, you can move borders! You can knock down a forest with an email...

(Cut to Torres watching.)

Captain America: You can feed a million people with a phone call. But the question is, who's in the room when you make those decisions? Hmm?

(Cut to Sarah watching.)

Captain America: Is it the people you're gonna impact? Or is it more people like you? I mean, this girl died trying to stop you, and no one has stopped for one second to ask why. You've gotta be better, Senator. You've gotta step up. Because if you don't, the next Karli will. And you don't want to see 2.0. People believed in her so much that they helped her defy the strongest governments in the world. Why do you think that is? Look, you people have just as much power as an insane god or a misguided teenager. The question you have to ask yourself is, "How are you going to use it?"

(Sam walks up to the trio as he & John share a nod.)

Bucky: Sorry, I was, uh, I was texting and so, all I heard was, um, "a black guy in stars and stripes."

Wolverine: That's the gist of it.

Bucky, Captain America, & Wolverine: [chuckles]

Bucky: Nice job, Cap.

Captain America: Thanks. You like the suit, (Y/N)?

Wolverine: Like it? I love it.

(The trio walk up to Sharon where Bucky & Y/N escort her away while Sam flies up to grab the last Flag Smasher. Cut to the remaining Flag Smashers being transported in a vehicle on its way to the Raft but it blows up. Pan over to the culprit, who is Ozenik.)

(Zemo listens to a reporter talking about the bombing.)

(Cut to the court where John's benefits were taken away with Valentina & John's wife, Olivia.)

Valentina: What is he doing in there?

Olivia: It's probably the helmet.

Valentina: Walker! My God! Let's go!

(John enters the room with his new black suit.)

Valentina: Now, this is more like it.

John: It's the same, but black.

Valentina: Yeah, well...

John: Yeah.

Valentina: Things are about to get weird. So, when they do, we're not gonna need a Captain America. We're gonna need a U.S. Agent.

(Cut to Bucky telling Yori what happened to his son. Bucky even gifts his book to Dr. Raynor. Sam shows Isaiah & his grandson his statue.)

Somewhere In The Midwest Region Of The United States

(Y/N walks up to his & Nat's cabin door.)

(Y/N): [heavy sigh] I haven't been home in what feels like for-

(Before Y/N can open the door, it opens from the other side revealing Natasha.)

(Y/N): Ever...

Natasha: Hey, killer.

(Y/N drops the bags he's holding & lifts his wife up in a hug.)

(Y/N): You're back.

Natasha: [chuckles] I missed you too.

(Y/N): Thank God you're back because Sam invited me to some neighborhood party and he told me to bring you.
Natasha: You really didn't want to go alone, huh?

(Y/N): Bucky would've been there but you know what I mean.

(Natasha cups Y/N's face.)

Natasha: I do.

(The two share a passionate kiss as we cut to Sam, Bucky, Y/N, Natasha, & Sam's neighborhood enjoying the party. The credits start to roll.)

(We see Sharon receive a full pardon & they offer her a job in her old department which she accepts. Cut to her outside & on the phone.)

Sharon: Start lining up our buyers. Super Soldiers might be off the menu, but we're about to have full access to government secrets, prototype weapons, you name it. Should be something for everyone.

After Even More Credits

(We see Y/N sitting up in his bed.)

(Y/N): [yawns]

(Y/N rubs his eyes to see Natasha standing in front of their bed.)

(Y/N): Morning.

Natasha: Wanna hear some great news?

(Y/N): Of course.

(Natasha hands something in her hand.)

(Y/N): Hm.

(Y/N focuses on the thing in his wife's hand to see that it's a...)

(Y/N): A pregnancy test?

Natasha: Good to know your eyes still work.

(Y/N): What does it read?

Natasha: Positive. I'm-

(Y/N): Nat, this isn't funny. I don't understand how you can joke about this.

Natasha: I would never joke about this, (Y/N). You of all people should know that. [sighs] Okay, you know how I was gone on that science project for Pepper?

(Y/N): Uh-huh.

Natasha: I won't bore you with all of the science because quite frankly I don't understand it myself. But, Pepper was going through some of Tony's old files and she found one where Tony found a way to...

(Y/N): To...?

Natasha: To fix my reproductive system. I wasn't sure if it worked so when we got home after the party and we, you know, I waited a few days, got a pregnancy test, and here we are.

(Y/N): So, you're...we're...

Natasha: Yes, we're pregnant, you flamin' idiot.

(Y/N gets out of bed, walks up to his wife, gets on his knees, and begins kissing her stomach profusely.)

Natasha: [chuckles]

(Natasha, with teary eyes, kisses the top of her husband's as the screen begins to fade to black & the happy couple await for their bundle...or bundles of joy.)

RayTheRipper: So, unfortunately, it looks like I won't be doing Loki because I just can't think of a way putting (Y/N) in the show & have it make sense. Which means, Black Widow is next!
