Their Final "Argument"

A Magnugaard request from The_Feline_Fox , sorry it took a while to think of this

Takes place in Episode 3 of MCSM Season 1

3rd Person POV

The Witherstorm had just been blown apart by the Formidi-Bomb, but there was still one problem-

"Anyone seen Soren or Ellegaard?" Olivia asked out of the blue and the group looked around, finally resting their gaze on Soren kneeling on the ground next to Ellegaard.

"Ellegaard!" Jesse ran over and kneeled down, surveying all of Ellegaard's injuries.

"Don't look so sad Jesse... you did it, you defeated the Witherstorm..." Ellagaard struggled to lift her hand up to Jesse so she took it between hers to make it easier for Ellegaard.

"Y'know, my armor really suits... you should keep it. I'm not going to be using it much anymore..." Ellagaard winced as she tried to finish that sentence before her eyes widened in surprise and Jesse followed her gaze to see all the people that the Witherstorm had taken in coming out, looking a little worse for wear.

"All the people are alive. The Witherstorm didn't kill them!" Jesse exclaimed looking back to Ellegaard with happiness until she remembered Ellegaard's condition.

"You need to help those people. All of them." Ellegaard told her determinedly seeing her hesitation to leave her.

"I'll stay with her until..." Magnus faltered at the last part of his sentence as everyone knew what he meant, but he didn't want to say it out loud. As he kneeled on the ground and propped Ellegaard up on his lap as everyone left to help the survivors that were coming out of the Witherstorm's corpse.

As they all left, Magnus sniffled a bit before coughing to clear his throat and Ellegaard laughed softly before remarking,

"What's the matter, tough guy? I thought you of all people would be glad to have me out of your hair."

"Really Ellie, did you seriously go there?" Magnus laughed ruefully as Ellegaard continued to softly laugh before wincing in pain.

"Even when I'm on death's bed we're still bickering like there's no tomorrow."

"Typical us... but to answer your question, no I'm not happy about this." Magnus turned his head away and closed his eyes forcibly to keep tears from coming out before he felt something on his cheek. Ellegaard was turning his head to face her as he let a couple of tears come out and fall.

"I'm sorry for all this time that we wasted arguing about nothing. I shouldn't have been so stubborn in holding onto an unimportant grudge."

"No no, I-I shouldn't have been so arrogant when you were just trying to talk some sense into me and the others about splitting up."

"Hey, you just used a 'big word'." Ellegaard smiled at that as Magnus responded sincerely,

"Well, I did learn a thing or two from you, bookworm."

"Back atcha Boom Master ack." Ellegaard put a hand to her side as pain flared up there when she tried to laugh again and Magnus noticed and started to become frantic, but didn't show it.

"Come on, Ellie, we've been through way worse before and come out alright."

"I think we both know that that's a lie..."

"Nah! What about the time we made it to the ice spikes place and you kept on slipping around and hitting your head against everything."

"That was you." Ellegaard stifled another laugh to avoid more pain as Magnus continued to ramble in an effort to distract her.

"Really, that not the way I remember it." Magnus chuckled, but it ceased when he noticed Ellegaard's eyelids were drooping.

"C'mon Ellie, you can't honestly tell me that is the end." Magnus' eyes started to water up and a few more tears started to roll down his face.

"You know it is, and I'm not afraid."

"How?"

"Because now I'll be able to keep an eye on you wherever you go..."Ellegaard gave Magnus a smile before pushing herself up with a moan of pain and giving him a kiss on the cheek. With a whispery sigh, Ellegaard lay back down and she didn't move again. Magnus wanted nothing more than to scream angrily at the sky, but he just picked Ellegaard's body up and sobbed quietly while hugging her one last time before she disappeared into a white cloud in his grasp.

"I guess that was our final argument..."
