The Scar's Story
A Lukas X OC (Marsh Fury) oneshot request from howleen03_keyro and sorry if the description doesn't match him but it's kind of hard to tell what colors are what in the picture.
3rd Person POV
A boy with black hair hanging over his gray eyes from beneath his hanging out from his hoodie was waiting outside the bookstore as a crowd of people was dissipating from inside.
"Whew finally!" Out of the store came Lukas, wearing his leather jacket, but the design on the back had been changed to a book and quill to show his stature as an author.
"Hey, Marsh!" Lukas held his hand out to the side and Marsh returned it and ended with a hug.
"You done with the book signing already?" Marsh asked jokingly sarcastic.
"Yeah, it was crazy..." Lukas breathed out as he pulled out a copy of his latest book telling of his latest adventure to help rebuild Stella with the reconstruction of Champion City.
"Saved one for you." Lukas handed the book to Marsh and he saw that the cover had Lukas' autograph on it, but inside the cover he signed it in his cursive handwriting.
"'You'll never know how lucky I am to have a friend like you', come on man, now you're just being a big softie." Marsh smirked jokingly as he put an arm around Lukas' head and messed up his hair.
"You come on, you know I have a particular style." Lukas "complained" as he tried to straighten his hair back to its signature look as they approached his house, where they were greeted by Lukas' horse and ocelot.
"Hey girl..." Lukas stroked the horse's head and saw that she and the ocelot, with the latter hissing a bit, were eying Marsh suspiciously.
"Not feeling very welcome here..." Marsh backed up slowly with his hands up.
Lukas looked at Marsh worried, so he took one of Marsh's hands and gently laid it on the horse's head.
"It's OK, he's a friend..." The horse seemed to understand as she leaned into Marsh's touch, but Lukas' ocelot didn't seem to get the message as his fur was still spiked up and he ran around the back of the house.
"It's OK, Ozzie's not that used to new people." Lukas patted Marsh's shoulder and led him inside. As soon as they got inside, Marsh sat down on Lukas' couch as he hung up his jacket and went to his kitchen.
"Cake or pie?" Lukas asked as he offered the desserts to him, but he just shook his head and stayed silent.
"Alright, out with it," Lukas sat next to Marsh on his couch, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing..." Marsh tried to deny, but Lukas gave him the 'really' look.
"The last time I had a best friend, we were inseparable, but I messed up and I'm just afraid that it'll happen again... with us."
"What happened?" Lukas asked concerned.
"We were practicing some combat with some swords and he started messing around and gave me this cut," He pointed to the scar of a cut that was on his nose, "I got mad, said some stuff I didn't mean and we stopped talking after that."
"Hey hey, that will never happen to us, trust me I have been in situations like that before and, it may seem hard at first, you get through it eventually, with a little help from close friends." Lukas expressed genuinely recalling his previous adventures with all his friends before they went their separate ways a long time ago.
Marsh sniffed as his eyes started to well up a bit and Lukas pulled him into a hug. A purring sound was heard and when the two pulled apart, they saw that Ozzie was laying on Marsh's lap purring contently.
"Would you look at that, Ozzie trusts you now." Lukas stroked Ozzie's head but remained on Marsh's lap as he started to stroke his back.
"So, promise you'll stick around?" Marsh asked.
"Yeah, I promise..." Lukas put an arm around Marsh as the full moon rose to light up the pitch-black world and the three of them just stayed that way all through the night.
