"OK, how 'bout 'Hey Petra, wanna go out tonight with this guy', no that sounds too cocky. Ugh! J come on you can do this." J scolded himself as he held a rose in his hand and was pacing around the Treasure Room practicing possible lines to use to tell Petra how he felt about her on a date he has yet to ask her on.

"Hello!" Jesse snuck up behind him and shouted in his ear and J scrambled to pick up the rose he dropped in surprise before his sister could see it.

"Is that rose for Petra, by any chance?" Jesse smiled brightly as she pointed to where he was attempting to hide it behind his back.

"None of your business!"

"Aw come on bro, you know you can tell me, I am your twin after all." Jesse put her hands behind her back and innocently smiled at him.

"Alright, I am planning to tell Petra how I feel about her, but I'm not even sure how I'm gonna ask her out yet." J bent over in disappointment.

"You just gotta ask her in the most simple way you can think of and, when you're on your date, just be yourself." Jesse patted his back before adding, "Also, ditch the rose, you know Petra is no sucker for cliched acts of love, you're gonna have to think of something original."

Jesse left to go set up the Order Hall for the Valentine's day party that was planned for later.

Yeah, no pressure or anything...

J though as he was left to himself to rethink his whole plan.

Time Skip to the Party

"Happy Valentine's Day everyone!" Jesse announced to Beacontown as everyone started to file into the Order Hall. The whole place was decorated with hearts and little cupids shooting their arrows against the wall and the dance floor was made up of pink and red clay blocks with some red stone lamps in between to light it up.

"Once again, you did an amazing job with the decorations." Lukas complimented Jesse as she went to join her friends by the punch table.

"Well, I was always the better decorator between the two of us." Jesse hooked her arm around her brother's neck as he tousled her hair.

"Good luck." She whispered to him and gave him a thumbs-up as she went to make sure that everyone got a slice of the pink and heart-decorated cakes that had been made with Lukas.

"Hey, Petra?" J walked up to Petra as she stood off to the side eating a slice of cake and watching everyone as the couple dances started.

"Can you believe how sappy this holiday is?" Petra motioned to the dancers, "It's all 'Oh you're my everything' and 'I can't live without you' and in the end they break up and either move on and forget or obsess over it and let it drive them to madness, ugh!"

"So, I take it that you're not enjoying the party then?" J asked her.

"Eh, I'm only really here to be supportive and because Stampy made the cakes and they're always good." Petra shrugged and finished her last piece of cake in one bite.

"Well, then could you help me with a new fighting move that I've been working on and can't seem to perfect?"

"Sure, anything's better than watching this." Petra gestured to a couple that was dancing in front of them and ended the song with a kiss.

"Yeah, let's hurry." J held out his hand to Petra and she took it as they ran out of the Order Hall to the open field where the Order kept mob dummies to practice fighting.

"So, what's this new move you've been working on?" Petra asked as she took an iron sword from the rack and spun it in her hand a few times.

"So, I wanted to be able to charge an enemy, make them think they have the upper hand by allowing them to lock my sword, but then I twist around them at the last second and grab their wrist to disarm them, but I can't seem to do it correctly." J explained as he got another iron sword and brandished it in front of him.

"So, like this?" Petra locked her sword with J's and was about to twist it out of his grip, but spun around and grabbed his wrists and they ended up with their faces inches apart.

"Yeah...like that..." J marveled at how quickly Petra managed to do a move he had only made up seconds before.

"Well," Petra cleared her throat and let go of J's wrists and stepped back, "You just need to do it like that. Let's try this again."

With a war cry, Petra charged forward with her sword and J narrowly dodged it and they clashed their swords together, almost dancing as they fought each other and, just as J was about to try his new move, Petra whirled him around and almost made him lose his balance before she caught him by the hand and held him up as he balanced back on one leg.

As she pulled him up their faces got close again and, this time, Petra leaned forward and gave him a kiss that lasted a few seconds, but felt like an eternity to J (Was that too cheesy?). When they pulled apart, J had a lovestruck look on his face and Petra just scoffed lightly and poked him away with one finger as he fell backward to the ground, still looking dumbstruck.

"You goofball..." Petra laughed as she helped to pull him up.

"Does this mean...?" J started and Petra finished,

"Yeah, I like you, you're pretty cool and I think it'd be nice to go out on a date with you."

"Wait, how'd you-?"

"I heard you and your sister talking earlier and you actually put in some effort to ask me out, that was sweet." Petra interlinked her hand with J's as they walked back inside to the dance and J thought,

Now that was some fight for love...
