Jesse's POV in the Sea Temple w/Jack, Nurm, and Petra

"Water.. floating in mid-air that should be impossible." I said to the others as we ducked behind some prismarine columns to avoid the Elder Guardian laser beams. Nurm made a noise and Jack responded with,

"If I know one thing, it is definitely NOT the Admin." Jack argued back.

"Well I don't know about an Admin... But I really, really don't like that floating water." Petra said as I looked past the column and spotted some sponge blocks.

"There are some sponge blocks. Petra, you and Jack mine the blocks while I run and distract the guardians so can use those to suck up the water they're floating in." I told Petra and Jack.

"Gladly, I think those stupid fish owe me." Jack growled before doing some kind of handshake with Nurm and Petra told me,

"Got it, go Jesse!"

"Hey Laserlips, what's it like being ugly and bad at your job." I taunted the guardians as I ran out, jumping over and dodging the lasers that were shot at me from two sides as Petra and Jack retrieved the sponge and started to use it.

"Boo-yah!" Petra yelled as she dried out and slashed one of the Elder Guardians.

"Oh no...no.. no. no.. S-Sammy..." Jack stuttered as he stared at a pile of inventory including a bow, a diamond, leather pants, an empty bottle, and a white tunic.

"Jack? Jack! Jesse, we've got a Jack problem!" Petra yelled to me as the guardian started to turn toward him.

"Quick toss the sponge!" I yelled as I prepared to run over to the guardian. Petra grabbed a sponge and shot it to the water block, absorbing it as I jumped in front of Jack and slashed the guardian. I killed it just as it shot one last laser beam from its eye and shot me back into a pillar of dark prismarine, knocking me out in the process.

Petra's POV

"Jesse!" I ran over to Jesse as he lay on the ground unconscious and barely breathing.

"Hrmm hm..." Nurm murmured to Jack.

"I-I'm sorry, I just couldn't... I'll be over there..." he went over to the inventory pile and picked it up before walking to a corner of the temple by himself.

"Hrmm Hm?"

"Nurm's asking if Jesse's alright?" Jack sadly translated from his corner.

"I don't know, he's breathing, but barely." I told him as he stood over Jesse next to me. Then, Nurm took his arms apart and snapped his fingers in front of Jesse's face. Suddenly, Jesse shot up and almost punched us as he shot out his fists and said,

"Hey! What! Happened?" He said confused.

"You scared the heck out of me is what happened!" I slightly yelled and punched his arm so hard he fell back down on the floor and Nurm back away in slight fear as he turned around and walked towards Jack, still in his corner.

"Sorry, but I had to save Jack, he is your hero after all..."

"Yeah, but right now, you're my hero..." I told him while pulling him back to his feet and pulling him into a tight hug.

"You're cutting off my air, Petra." Jesse turned dark blue in the face.

"This is partially punishment for almost dying on us." I smirked before kissing his cheek lightly and he blushed brightly before stuttering,

"W-we should go check on Jack and then try and get that door open." and he walked toward Jack and Nurm while touching the spot where I kissed him.

"Sure thing." I said and I walked to the door to try and see how to open it.

AN- I hope this chapter is OK Kawaii-Shnofu, since you said to do a random oneshot I just looked in my list of Oneshot ideas and picked one out 🙂
