A special oneshot for 4th of July, I hope you all enjoyed the day!

Jesse's POV

"Come on Jesse, we're going to be late!" Radar tried to pull her along as she tried to stop at every single dispenser lined up for the big fireworks show.

"I just want to be 100% sure nothing will go wrong this year." I tried to convince Radar.

"Come on, what's the worst that could happen?"

"Last year when Axel misplaced a dispenser and it nearly burned down all the forest surrounding Beacontown?"

"Well..."

"Or two years ago when several fireworks went off course and they destroyed 5 homes?"

"Look, point is,  we've got everything under control so you don't have to worry." Radar assured me as he tugged my arm away from the set up to join the rest of my friends(Old and New Orders, Binta's people, and a few Beacontowners) on the side of a steep cliff to see the sunset when the fireworks would be released into the horizon.

"Where's Lukas?" I suddenly noticed he wasn't there.

"He said he went to go get us some snacks" Olivia started from next to Axel.

"He'll be back in time for the show to start." Axel finished Olivia's sentence.

"Ok..." I said as I plopped down close to Radar as he sat next to Nell.

Time Skip

"I'm here! I didn't miss the show did I?" Lukas said as he was  buckling under the weight of all the cake and pies he brought back with him for all our friends.

"No, you're just in time Lukas." I giggled as he stumbled around, trying to not hit anyone as he gave them their food.

"Thanks Louie." Ivor said as he gave half his pie to Harper, who kissed him on the cheek in thanks.

"Lukas..." He grumbled as he made his way around.

"Thanks brah, doesn't feel like a fourth of July without melons." Nell bit into a slice and splattered juice all over Radar's glasses.

"Oops, sorry dude..." She apologized as he wiped his glasses on his sleeve.

"I-it's no problem really." Radar sputtered turning bright red.

"You OK little dude? You're looking a little.. red?" Radar didn't answer, but Axel joked that he was just apart of the day and Oliva playfully nudged his arm.

"Well everyone's got their snacks, the sun's almost down, and the show is about to begin." Lukas counted off as he sat down on the cliff edge next to me.

"I just hope nothing goes wrong this year." I mumbled and Lukas was about to say something when a firework went off early and it zipped over our heads and made Lukas lose his balance on the edge.

"Lukas!" I yelled as I grabbed his hand and tried to pull him back up, but was dragged down with him as we tumbled down the cliff side into the woods below.

Short Time Skip

3rd Person POV with Jesse and Lukas

"Are you OK Jesse?" Lukas asked as he helped her to her feet and they looked at their surroundings.

"I'm alright, a little scraped and bruised, but I'll live." Jesse said as she cupped her elbows and shivered a bit.

"Are you cold?"

"A little but I'll be-" She was interuppted as Lukas wrapped his New Ocelot's jacket over her shoulders and they exchanged a smile before getting back to trying to find out where they were.

With the Others

"Do you see them?" Radar asked as he leaned over the cliff to try and spot Lukas and Jesse.

"No, they fell right down the side and into the woods they could be anywhere by now and it's dark now so it'll be twice as hard." Olivia said as she paced in place trying to make a plan go get them back.

"I could try and go ninja style into the woods to find them." Ivor got into a ninja fight stance before Harper put a hand on his shoulder and said,

"You might want to save that as a last resort Ivor." And Ivor drooped down a little.

"Fireworks!" Olivia suddenly shouted.

"How is worrying about the show a priority right now?" Binta asked.

"No she's right dudes! They'll totally be able to see us if we turn the lights on." Nell agreed.

"Kent! Start the show!" Cam yelled up and Kent flicked all the levers to start shooting all the fireworks.

Back with Lukas and Jesse

"I just wanted one year where nothing went wrong and we'd be able to just enjoy the-" Jesse started to say when Lukas shouted,

"Home!"

"I was actually going to say fireworks, but OK?"

"No, home is that way." Lukas took Jesse's hand as they ran through the woods following the lights until they reached the bottom of the cliff side where their friends were.

"There they are!" Cam jumped in excitement as the duo waved to them from down below as the fireworks continued.

"I guess this year didn't turn out perfect, but I'd still say it was OK." Jesse said as she leaned her head on Lukas' shoulder and he turned to her before kissing her and a heart-shaped firework went off over their heads.

"That's weird, why would there be a-?" Olivia cur herself off, looking over to Axel who was grinning at the pair and Olivia nudged his side lightly.

"You planned this all along, didn't you?"

"Hey, those two needed a spark, I just supplied the strike for that spark." Axel said sagely.

"I never knew you could play matchmaker." Olivia smiled at Axel as they looked back down at their friends and everyone switched their gazes between the fireworks show and their friends below them as the fireworks marked the start of a beautiful new beginning.
