A Romara (Romeo X Xara) request from FlowerKingdomQueen , and in this version of the background story of Xara, Fred, and Romeo, the cabin is in a cave which is why they didn't see the outside world for awhile

3rd Person POV with Xara, Fred, and Romeo when they were kids

"Catch me if you can!"

"You're on Xara!"

Romeo and Xara were engaging in a game of tag while Fred was sitting by the river reading one of his favorite books and making a bunch of notes along the margins.

"Come on Fred, play with us." Xara tried to pull Fred along by his hand.

"No thank you, I would rather read right now."

"Awww come on..." Xara pouted, but Fred turned his attention back to his book and note-making.

"Come on Xara, we can play together." Romeo came up to Xara and poked her arm lightly, "Tag you're it."

"You're on Romeo!" Xara started to chase him when she tripped and tumbled forward  to the natural barrier around their home and hit it hard enough to punch a hole.

"Woah.. are you alright Xara?"

"I'm fine, but there's something different about that." She pointed to the hole in the wall as Romeo helped her to her feet.

"Hey Fred!" Romeo called over to him and he put his book down and ran over to his friends.

"What is that?" Fred asked as he took out his blue-dyed journal and jotted something down. 

"There's something beyond the barrier, let's find out!" Romeo exclaimed excitedly.

"Are you sure we should do this? We have no idea what's beyond the barrier, it could be dangerous." Fred asked cautiously.

"Yeah, we should be like the explorers in your books, we should find out what's past the barrier we've been hiding in for all our lives." Xara tried to convince Fred. He thought for a few seconds and then he smiled and said,

"Then it's a good thing I always have these on hand." He pulled out their shovels that were dyed with their favorite colors, red, blue, and purple, to show who they belonged to.

"Let's get to digging then!" Romeo said as he raised his shovel and Xara and Fred did the same.

Time Skip to When They're Done Digging

"Wow.. wow wow wow!" Xara spun around a few times and made herself dizzy to where she almost fell down, but was caught by Romeo.

"This is what was outside the whole time..." Fred breathed as he began to draw their surroundings. They were at the base of a huge fjord (image below not mine)

and they gazed around in awe of the mesa biome that was a little wats past the fjord entrance.

"We should look around some more." Fred told his friends as finished drawing their surroundings and began to write an entry.

"Whatever we do we do it together." (Sound familiar? 😉) Romeo said as he held Xara's hand and Fred smiled at the two of them.
